How to reach pune from bombay?

By taxi
The Mumbai-Pune taxi service runs between Dadar Circle and Pune railway station. Taxis take about 4.5 hours to cover the distance. They seat four to five which can be a little uncomfortable. You can book the entire taxi or pay for two seats, if you would like a more comfortable ride. The taxis run round-the-clock. The fare for the ride is to be paid at the starting point and costs Rs 200 per seat. A full taxi costs Rs. 1,000 .

By Bus
Across the road from the Mumbai-Pune taxi stand is the terminus for the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation's Dadar-Pune bus service, popularly known as the Asiad Bus Service. Buses leave for Pune every fifteen minutes between 5 a.m. and well past midnight. The last bus often leaves at 2:30 a.m. A ride costs Rs. 90. The fare is Rs 140 for the air-conditioned bus. The buses most often take the old highway (not by pass) and you can request the driver to allow you to get off at almost any point after Pimpri-Chinchwad. The buses terminate at Pune Railway Station.

You can also board any of the buses operated by private companies. These leave from all over Mumbai and cost between Rs 70 and Rs 180 depending on type of service, time of year and day. Check timings from the operators. These buses terminate at either Pune Railway Station, Kothrud, Swargate or Shivajinagar.

You can take either a train from Chatrapathi Shivaji Terminus (Earlier Victoria Terminus (VT station)) to Pune Railway Station or a bus from Dadar bus stand, from where air-conditioned Volvo buses leave every half an hour, take three and a half hours and cost about Rs. 240 one-way.

Typical non-stop driving times:
Sion-Panvel: 1 hour
Panvel-Khopoli: 1 hour
Khopoli-Lonavala: 0.45 hour
Lonavala-Dehu: 1 hour
A non-stop drive usually takes between 3.5 to 4.15 hours. Of course, a lot depends on the traffic conditions.

How to reach Matunga from Pune ?

Depends on your way of commuting...
If you are in a car...when you reach mumbai from express way...you crass Panvel, CBD Belapur, Nerul, vashi, then govandi, chembur, sion, King Circle(Ask for Matunga here). Its a straight road.
You might know new mumbai a bit so
1. in car you drive staright on the highway, you cross a huge sea on a bridge, entering mumbai.
2.there dont leave that road, you would encounter 1-2 birdges after that, then touch a circle (still go straight).
3. You will cross 3 Signals and then come to 4th with a circle(landmark Priyadarshini Hotel on the left). Go staright again, you will see a long stretch of road with a bridge, take the bridge.
4. Still go straight. You will cross 2 red lights, now stay to left side of the road(the road has 2 division, right side for the bridge and left for the underbridge (this is a landmark for you). As soon as the bridge starts on your right side you will see a big road goin on the left. that goes to Matunga...Ask the direction from any one there.

If you are travelling from train.
1. If it reached Dadar Station, get out and take a taxi to required address.
2. If it reaches VT station also known as CST station, then you can take a train but you might get late, hence you should prefer taxi. Otherwise harbour line goes to Matunga.
3. If it reaches Bandra Terminus, then take a Auto till sion, then take a taxi to Matunga(this will save a couple of bucks).
4. if it reaches Mumbai Central, then no choice, take a Taxi, or bus number, 92, 351, 91, 8LTD(not exp), 6, 506, and anyone that goes to sion, chembur, TATA, mahul, vashi, belapur, nerul, kurla.
5. If train reaches anyother station of mumbai, then i think its on Central Line. Take a local train to Dadar, then tke a Taxi from there.

I hope this help. All the best for tomorrow.

Chakan is very far from Pune. It will developing now but their is no future development projects in Chakan. Instead of Chakan you can try for Undri, Pisoli location which is just 10 to 15 Kms from Pune Station.Undri:Undri area is one of the preferred areas in Pune, especially, for those who work in the Camp area. People who live in Kondhwa area that want to buy good quality flats as the second home (or even as the first home) also prefer Undri. As a result, you can see a lot of excellent projects coming in.If you are living in a single or two BHK flat in other areas (rented or own), and wish to move into a bigger house; then search for flats in undri. It is guaranteed that you will get amazed by the property rates. It gives the best value for money.Pisoli:Pisoli is considered the twin locality along with Undri. These two places have emerged recently as preferred areas because of their proximity to Hadapsar, Camp, NIBM road and Wanwadi.Situated at a convenient distance of 9 kilometers from Pune Central, it is one of the fastest developing areas as of now.Still today, flats in pisoli are quite within the financial reach of the majority of the buyers.
