How To Read Online Blood Results

Do you track your blood test results? If yes, how?

Briefly, my health provider has a website where I can see the results of any test, including blood work, along with "what should be" nominal values. I can also use the graphing capability, of the website, to see the results over time (past test results) to see trends, if any! Of course, any abnormal variations would (may) be called to my attention by my PCP's office! If they miss it, I request a retest....Labs aren't perfect! If you are healthy, then I would not worry about it.  If you concerned about a specific disease process, then yes I would track results.  Some examples are:Glucose and Hemoglobin A1C if you are diabeticVarious cancer markers if you have cancerPT, INR, or PTT if you are on "blood thinners"If you have abnormal results of a lab test and your doctor is concerned about the abnormal results, then I would monitor the test. They can be control by different methods .There are 3 major steps for this . ExerciseVarying the locations where you inject insulinEating less carbohydrate  For 1st step I would like to recommend one app which will be taking complete care of all exercise issue like how much you worked ?, What things you should do get it here : Diabetes Management - Android Apps on Google Play           Or visit site :  Beato Doctor Management SystemNow I will like to share a image for diet

Help with blood test results, scared!?

Iron 6 (11-27) , Tranferrin 37 (20-45) , TFN Satn 8 (15-55) , Ferritin 31 (30-200)

These results show anemia of chronic disease/inflammation.
I read online that it can be due to Hodgkin's lymphoma, the cancer I've been thinking I've had for a couple years due to palpable lymph nodes everywhere (even one under my collarbone) and body aches, bruises.
I've just had shingles too and I'm only 21!
This blood tests was months and months before the shingles but these results and symptoms I'm getting more suspicious.
Idk what to do I'm so scared its is lymphoma. I've had 2 ultrasounds on the lymph nodes and they're clinically within normal range even if they're easily palpable. So they won't do a biopsy cause it's too small (the infraclavicle lymph node)

What is this chronic disease??? :(

Should I be concerned about my blood test results?

No one blood testing is ever 100% accurate and many things
can affect the results of these tests.
Your doctor may repeat tests if they are well out of normal range,
but most of the time, when they are just slightly elevated (like yours
is)...they may return back to the normal range. It is only when they
stay elevated over a certain time period, with more blood tests being
done, that the doctor will then proceed to diagnose a problem.

Red blood cells have 4 spaces on them that hold iron (heme).
The iron is there to hold onto the oxygen molecule that is
picked up in the lung to be transported to the rest of the body.
Your red blood cells and hemoglobin (iron), and hemocrit
(which is an estimate of red blood cells in the sample of the
blood you gave) are only slightly high. If they do stay high,
it may be normal for you or indicate that your body is
producing more than the normal amount. People who
live in high elevations normally have higher levels of
Red blood cells. However, it could indicate a blood problem
if they go higher.

Best wishes

What do occult blood 1+ and RBC 3-5/HPF in urine mean, and is it normal?

Both or these are findings in a urinalysis. Occult means hidden. This is blood that isn’t visible to the eye but that is detectable by testing for it and is visible under a microscope. In urine dipstick testing, 1+ and above indicates significant hematuria, blood in the urine. A trace amount is a negative result. RBCs, or red blood cells, are seen in a microscopic urinalysis, when the specimen is examined under a microscope. Generally speaking, more than 3–5 RBCs per HPF is concerning. And, no, these results aren’t normal but I don’t believe the results given should be alarming but they do merit attention. Lots of things cause hematuria, I can’t emphasize that enough, including strenuous exercise and minor trauma, even trauma from masturbation. I’m not going to get into explanations of power fields and microscopes — you can look into that on your own time, if you care to.In the future, please review test results with the ordering physician instead of posting them online and asking the general public. It’s a distinct mistake to post test results online and ask for interpretation. I strongly suggest you refrain from doing this again.
