How do I remove the vocals from an audio track or a song using GarageBand?

Hi Tammy.Garageband does not have this capability. You’ll need to look into a different software, one which can run advanced plug ins in a way that is easier to get this done. Like Logic Pro.And as to which plug in to use, the cheapest is a M/S (Mid / Side, a recording technique) processing, with a plug ins such as Waves:Mid-Side Processing with Plugins | WavesCheers.

Is there anyway to remove dents from a french horn without getting it repaired?

Jen, about the only dents you can remove are ones that you can reach both sides of with your hands. You can flatten out those dents with 2 spoons. First soap the area so you don't make scratches.

Other dents more up in the instrument are not doable without the proper tools.

its a school horn, ask the band director to have it fixed.

Remove bass distortion from audio in audacity?

There's a couple of things you can try. Not sure if they'll work but it's worth a shot.

Import the file into Audacity, highlight the waveform, then go to "effects" and select "amplify". Pull the slider to the left until the new peak amplitude is 0.0 or lower. Hit okay.

Do the same thing, go to "effects" and select "clip fix" (it's at the bottom, in a new list). Move the slider so that the threshold of clipping is 100% and then click okay.

Failing that, open up "equalisation" within "effects". You'll see a waveform. Bass frequencies are on the left hand side moving towards the middle. Pull the corresponding sliders down and see what happens.

If you make any drastic mistakes, just go to "edit" and click "undo". Sometimes there's not really much you can do to fix distortion and clipping but the ideas mentioned above might clean your recording up to a certain extent.

Please Help! How do you remove guitar strings without cutting them?

hi there. I've reused strings before but not much, i usually get new ones. It's strange that a repairer doesn't just put on a whole new set to check the setup better.
But anyway, if you want to keep them from the strat, the strings are gonna keep that coiled up section from where it's wrapped around the machine. The strings won't be very long of you've cut them to fit and that's a hassle putting them on again, cause you don't have any spare length to play with.

After unwinding and getting them out of the machine, getting them through the holes in the bridge plate is harder. Nothing will compare to the hassle of getting them back through it, cause all the bent bit you will have to straighten to get through. Then getting them through the machine and with enough spare to wind. You might maybe just put as much of it as is there in the machine and winding it all the way around. That would take a while depending on how many winds they have.

If you haven't put the strings on yet, when you do, don't cut them to fit but just coil up the ends in a loose loop so you have all the string to play with when you take them of and on. That will make life easier. I've done it before and seen others do it too where they leave all the full length of the string.

The hassle with strings is always how the jab into you, the ends can be so sharp.
