4GB Verbatim USB stick is corrupted...?

If you format the drive then you will loose ALL files you have copied to the stick.

Your file system section has got it's knickers in a twist. There are a couple of things you can try before getting serious. Try unplugging it, waiting a few seconds, then plug it back in. If that doesn't work, try plugging it into another computer. If both of those don't work then depending on what OS you are using, you can try repairing the device.

Go into your Control Panel. Get to your Device Manager. Select the USB Device, right click and select Properties.

You may be able to repair the device, from there, or try reinstalling the driver.

If the data is vitally important and you can't repair the file system section, then you can get software that can read ANY drive, overriding the system files. This will cost you money, but you will be able to recover the data.

How do I fix a corrupted external HDD without format and a RAW to NTFS without format?

I trying to search what software i use to fix corrupted HDD without format, I experience in this case but, I use EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard i wait almost one day to fix this issue on my HDD, but i don’t care for how many hours i wait as long as i can recover my all files on my hard drive, everything is fine. :)

Converting FAT32 > NTFS Failed?

So I tried to convert my external to ntfs from fat32 on windows 7 pro

Convert E: /fs:ntfs /V /Nosecurity /X

I let it do its stuff, until it comes out with this error

Unable to notify other components that the volume has changed.

I stare at it for a minute, and try to open the drive. Windows errored out and said that it was corrupted. I restarted the system, and apparently it's still corrupted.

Disk Manager says it's RAW fs
Convert thinks the disk is already NTFS
Computer says it's corrupted

I really need to keep what I saved on that drive. Is it possible to access the raw in Linux or something to save it? Or is all my data on this drive dead?

Ubuntu - USB Help (Destination is Read Only?)?

Download the iso image file of "KNOPPIX" (another LINUX software collection). An *.iso file is a burn image which can directly be burned on CD or DVD. Like UBUNTU KNOPPIX is bootable form CD and DVD but in contrary to it it is starting a live session (nothing is installed on your computer). KNOPPIX can work with NTFS formatted disks and Windows files. It has tools to change access permission of files or drives and most often simply ignores Windows access rights or restrictions. You can also diagnose, repair, delete and reformat partitions with GParted (attention: very powerful). On the DVD version of KNOPPIX is everything you need. In addition its free. Skip UBUNTU. Some time ago I purchased a commercial version of UBUNTU. It never worked anywhere. Now I have (free) Debian. Works perfectly. If you try to copy large files on USB memory sticks make sure those are NTFS formatted, not FAT32 as usual. FAT32 rejects all files larger than 1.6 GB.You will then get error messages like your one. Remove all files and simply format it. When asked for file system choose NTFS. That is possible with GParted too.

Main Bios Corrupted, Updating from second one help?

My main bios is corrupted apparently and yes It seems weird of as why there mostly GIGABYTE motherboards getting it.
Basically when I left my computer last night, I turned it off and this morning I couldn't turn it on, it turns on for few seconds activity begins and bam... off then after several tries including the main switch at the back (PSU) It turns on only to say that the Main bios is corrupted and that it's updating from my second one since I have Dual Bios.
I would like to know if I can fix this.

Do I need to flash my bios?

Anything else I might need to do?

How do I make Linux my main operating system?

Right now I have Windows 7, but I want to switch over to SUSE Linux. I have read that if you have Windows you can run Linux as a program, but I want it as my main operating system. How do I do this?

Also is it possible to make it where my main operating system is Linux when I turn on my computer, but still have Windows 7 installed?

I searched but didn't see anything on the internet so if anyone knows of a guide and will post it, I would be very appreciative
