I filed last year for 2013. I got my tax refund just like any normal person would 2 weeks later in the month of February. Well this past November I got again? Weird? It was def. a tax refund. I got a letter from them stating I have paid my taxes with amount of the check I received. Then later on another letter talking about Release of Levy? I do not owe loans or anything. I wasn't contacted by the IRS that I had Levy which I find very odd. Then again today I received another check same amount ? It legitimate. We double checked it. sure enough it was another tax refund check. Hope someone can give me some answers. I tried calling the local IRS but they I keep getting put on hold or the line is busy or just keeps ringing and ringing.
And also I don't owe anything. Not that i know of.

Can I ask the govt to resend an old refund check to me again?

I found a federal tax refund check from the IRS from 7 years ago and It says void within 180 days. Also, if they do send another one, are there any consequences because of it, such as maybe having to report it as income on the next year?

*Update:

I called the 1 (800) 829-1040 number and kept on pressing the 0 key until I was taken to an operator. I requested to be sent to the Refund Dept. I had to wait about an hour but I finally was able to talk to a representative. The resend check was sent out on the 28th of May, I requested a trace put on the check. If they confirm that the check hasn't been cashed they will issue me another check. They said the entire tracing process could take anywhere from 30 days to 6 weeks. Hopefully if someone ends up in the same situation that i'm stuck in this information will help.

Yes, the security deposit belongs to the tenant, not the landlord. In New Jersey it has to be put into an interest bearing account held in trust for the tenant. The landlord is only allowed to deduct money for damages other than normal wear and tear. It is NOT his money. I would check our state laws, or ask a lawyer as well, because I would almost bet that, if the tenant does not claim the money within a reasonable time, the money escheats to the State.

If it was mailed it takes 8 t0 12 weeks to process and then 3 to 6 weeks to bounce and be mailed. Forget about getting it by June.
