there is a default setting for "trash" and "bulk" - you are responsible for all the other messages.

Emails won't delete in yahoo mail, they keep reappearing in my inbox?
I click on an email and then click on delete. Presto, gone. And then it's back in my inbox. sometimes up to five times. I click on trash and click to empty it, sometimes the trash empties and sometimes it doesn't. If the trash empties, it seems to take the email permanently, but it shouldn't come back in the first place when I initially delete it. I'm using Firefox, if that makes a difference.

Presuming you’re using Yahoo Mail on your PC/laptop, this is the method that I use. Also I find it easier to use the old Yahoo email, rather than the “new”.Sort your emails in “Ascending Order”. That way, you’re looking at the oldest first.Look through and make certain that any email you’ve starred or emails from family, etc. that you might want to keep — mark those and put them in a Keep folder. Otherwise, click the Select All button.Then click the Delete button. Or even better the Spam button.This is not a very speedy way to go, because Yahoo shows you only about 50 messages at a time. But after doing this 20 or so times, you’ll find you’ve made quite a dent in those emails that build up.I’ve heard there’s a way to filter e-mails that are over, say, 6 months old, but I can’t find the setting. You can't. And any service that does offer it is limited. You can't undo something like that if it's already been downloaded to their device, or has already been read.It only works if the email says on your email providers servers. And if they do that, they're intentionally building a time delay.The very idea of an email recall is dumb, on my opinion. I'm always surprised at how many people want it.If you drop a letter in your mailbox, it's gone. You can't undo it. Why should people expect email, which goes from point A to point B infinitely faster, to work differently?

I don’t have a premium Yahoo account, and I have mail that is over 13 years old. I didn’t use Yahoo much after I signed up with Gmail, mainly because of their being hacked so many time, so I had over 50,000 unread messages. I wanted to clean it up so I could use it again.I have Thunderbird for my email client, it works in systems as old as Windows XP SP2. I went into my Yahoo account settings and allowed third party software, put my email and password into Thunderbird, and several hours later I had ALL my mail. It took me about an hour to clean it up, and now I have a nice clean mailbox at Yahoo again. My friend sent me some pictures of my son’s baptism 10 years ago that I thought were lost, but no, they were still sitting there nicely on Yahoo’s servers waiting for me to download them.

Question says it all pretty much. I'm wondering if I block somones emails, and in the future i decide to unblock that person will i recieve their emails that they sent me when they were on my block list? and if not is there anway i can send someones email to a certain place w/out looking at them or knowing they sent anything until i want to know if they sent me emails? and this is using yahoo mail.
