To answer your second question first: Yes, there are real “super affiliates” here.The real monthly cost to run an affiliate marketing business depends on a variety of factors. As a very real world example of the low end, I have a site that generates a couple hundred dollars a month that I spend an hour a month on (I spent a solid month building it out about four years ago) doing routine maintenance and updating a few bits of content. I have it hosted for roughly $36 a year. So I profit a couple hundred a month off this one site.The other end of the spectrum is a higher end affiliate site that generates thousands per month. More time is spend on this because content needs to be regularly updated, inbound links need to be checked (to make sure someone isn’t spamming the site to kill rankings), hosting is more expensive, ads cost money, funnels need to be built, autoresponders, etc. You will be looking at around $250 a month for tool subscriptions, hosting is variable based on your resource load (number of visitors/page views).Ad spend is a factor and I can’t really tell you how much *you* will spend on ads. You really need to know what you're doing, and have pages that convert before you start spending money on ads. I look at as spend as customer acquisition as opposed to a direct way to sell product. Run an ad, send them to a landing page, capture an email, then sell them things via your funnel. But I digress, sorry. I get carried away…Look to spend between $5 and $300 a month to run your affiliate site.To run an “affiliate marketing business” you will just scale that monthly site cost by number of sites.But remember these are just expenses, you will have revenue to cover them if you are selling product. When money rolls in, take out what you need, and keep rolling it back into the building more sites.
Im just now getting into affiliate marketing?
I've recently been researching affiliate marketing and im going to be creating a website and i have found multiple websites who accept affiliates and want people to advertise for them on your website. and im staying in the same topic of advertising that im going to be doing and my main question is, am i able to advertise multiple companys on one website? such as i have a sports page and i advertise under armour and nike on the same website.. is that ok? sense they both sell the same stuff or should i only be advertising one? im not sure how it all works exactly. im still researching lol thanks
