How do I save money on auto insurance as an international student in New Jersey?

Auto insurance in New Jersey is high and usually higher for students because of many factors including age etc. And on top of that being an international student without much of a driving history does not help either. Here are some of the things you could consider that could help reduce your premiums:--Buy an inexpensive car and have liability coverage only. (Usually not advisable and depends on state's insurance coverage restrictions.)--Belong to AARP or other clubs that provide some discount--Taking a defensive driving course may help --Buy a car which is highly rated for safety features may help reduce premiums--Some companies offer "good student" discounts--Paying your premium in bulk(6 months instead of monthly) will usually get a small discount--Being an additional driver on someone else's insurance policy(Usually older and established person with good driving history). Usually this applies to domestic families, such as an 18 year old teenager listed as additional driver under his fathers insurance policy.Hope this helps.

GUEICO auto insurance company really good to save money?

It's funny that GIECO says they will save you $500 a year, then ALLSTATE says they will save you $300 over GIECO, and some other companies claim even more savings.

That's $800 a year in savings, and my State Farm policy runs me $900. Does that mean I can now get coverage for as little as $100 a year? NO.

Don't believe the hype. The advertised rates are bare bones/low coverage rates with a HUGE deductible. To get the savings, you will be giving up something. When buying any type of insurance, compare apples to apples. You will find out that all the companies are closer in price than you think for comparable coverage. The difference lies in how they end up handling a claim. If you ever have a claim, you want to talk to an agent. YOUR agent. Not some dude on the phone.

New drivers (permit); what can save money on insurance?

Okay, new drivers in the family (got the permit today). Of course, DMV rats you out to Allstate, and Allstate charges a ton for insurance (Arm + Leg). Oh, two new drivers. So I'm looking for ways to show good character to Allstate or find a cheaper insurance.

Now, I know some basic things about Auto Insurance:
A) Good grades (above 3.0 gpa) can get a discount from some insurers (usually 10%). Have this.
B) I drive a moderate car (not SUV or sedan). Good condition.
C) The car will be shared between 2-3 young drivers. Since they can't all be in the car at once, I imagine this could reduce costs.
D) No criminal record and no disciplinary file at school.
E) In the Fall, Drivers Ed is offered. I understand that it also can reduce costs
F) Parents are responsible drivers (low insurance)

Who tends to be cheapest with Auto Insurance? Am I wrong in any of the above statements, and is there any other factors that can save money? Where is the best place to get a quote?

Thank you!

Lying on Auto insurance quote?

Whats the cheapest auto insurance in texas?

If you are only trying to get one month of insurance to try to "beat the system" with that Texas Sure program, you are wasting your time. The whole way they know whether or not you have insurance is it is reported to the State by the Insurance company. How do you think its all linked to your license plate number? Insurance companies arent going to do dumb things like not report you dont have insurance, because they are upset they lost your money coming in each month. Its an added incentive for them to report it because one way or the other, some insurance company is gettin some money from you. If they aren't, then law enforcement is. And believe me, you do not want to get busted with no insurance in Texas. Its not like it was 7 years ago. Now, first offense, you pay a fine, could go to jail, loose your license, PLUS, pay a surcharge for like 3 years of something like $100 per month. Good luck my friend.
