How To Set Network Connection In Need For Speed 17

I am facing Network Connection Problem with Samsung Galaxy J2.  Every time I need to restart my phone to fix that issue. Did anybody have resolution for this?

I don’t think there’s any major issue from your network provider’s side. I’ve a SG-J5 and mine disconnects from internet in every 3–4 mins. The network connectivity is very good here & other mobile phones run well with the same network/career. This can roughly be a hardware defect. When it was new it worked fine, but things went worse when I opted an OTA security update. Here’s what I can suggest you :-If you recently have updated your firmware or installed any updates OTA, try Factory Reset. And kindly report back if it works for you. This I think is a bit difficult. You need to bake a new kernel for your device (but yes need to be a linux kernel dev :\ . Even such a professional will think twice before giving it a go. However, if you are still interested, you can google the Kernel Source for your device & fetch them & bake a new one.) If you’ll be very lucky, you’ll only need to reconfigure the radio module.Remove the back panel of your device. Restart your device and leave the back of your phone bare naked. Don’t attach the panel. Now play with your device, and report back if it works for you.Try changing the Network Operator from Select Automatically to Manual. If doesn’t work, stick with Select Automatically. Try with different Network Modes, & the one which works for you.Try your sim card in other mobile phone. If same issue occurs there, then it’s definitetly a problem at network side. But if it works well, then unfortunately you’ll have to follow the step 5.Best choice will be to call a Service Center & follow the procedure. They’ll most likely replace the motherboard of your device.Tinkering directly with the firmware of your device can void the warranty of your device. I’ll not be responsible for it. I’ll not be resposible for any damages you may inflict upon your li’l smartphone while following the suggestions I’ve written.P.S. - Factory Reset didn’t work for me. Imagine network disconnectivity every 3–4 mins. :|

How can I check the speed of an Ethernet port?

There are many ways of testing the maximum capability of your ethernet port and the speed which it is connected at this moment. You can have 1Gbps port but might be limited to 100Mbps due to your router limitation. To check it you can go to the network adapter and see which type it is,If it is a GbE family network then definitely it is gigabit ethernet. If it is Fast ethernet then definitly 100Mbps. You can also check it in the Properties of that ethernet port, should give you an insight. You can also do another thing, look up the model number of the specific network chip and determine the speed. For example My desktop computer has an onboard Realtek RTL8111E network chip and realtek website suggests it is a 1Gbps controller which is right.Like I was saying, even if your ethernet has the capability to connect to 1Gbps doesn't necessarily mean it will do so. It's because the device on the other side is also a limitation and usually the lowest speed will be the working speed.here you can see, although my Wi-Fi is dual band AC which can connect at 433Mbps but my router is limited to 150Mbps n, so it has connected at 150Mbps rather than 433Mbps.Same thing is true with wired port too.

How can I limit internet speed of certain devices connected to my wifi?

Actually this depends on the type of router you are using. Most of the routers have bandwidth control function but, they will allow to control the speed of all connected devices at once. Login to your router >> Check for Bandwidth Control Option >> Enable and set bandwidth. Assigning different bandwidth to different devices is not possible directly. So, there is an hack to do so.Set DHCP server to Off. (Now you need to assign IP's manually to each and every device.)Now configure rule as above. Make 2-3 rules ! Ex:  for Ip range 0.100 - 0.105 speed will be 1Mbps and from 0.106 to 0.110 speed will be 2Mbps etc.Now assign ip to device according to your need. If you want to give 1mbps speed to that device, add the IP of that range and if 2Mbps then IP of range 106 to 110.

How do i speed up my internet?

On speedtest.net my results were:
Ping: 17 ms
Download Speed: 16.80 mbps
Upload Speed: 4.58 mbps

I don't know if these results are good or bad but whenever i download something, like a 1MB video, it takes about 2+ hours to download. Also, when i watch live streams of sports, it always lags and i have to keep refreshing. Sometimes it even takes a while to refresh.
I have a Lenovo laptop and i've had it for about 2 years. Is there anything I can do to speed up my internet? btw i'm only 16 years old, so please don't suggest something complicated to do that i can't undo if something goes wrong

How to connect Printer to pc directly through Ethernet?

Well you are going to need an Ethernet connection to the PC and the Printer. So that means a small switch and a couple of cables.

Then you likely need to connect to the printer via USB and use that to set up it's network port.
Manually assign it an IP address like 192.168.1.2 and subnet of 255.255.255.0

Then you manually set up the computer to have a network address of 192.168.1.1 / subnet of 255.255.255.0

The other numbers don't matter because you aren't connecting to anything else.

Now when you connect the 2 devices to the switch they can see each other across your little mini network.

Re-install the printer as a network printer with the network address you assigned it and you can print to it.

The network card will come up as "connected, local access only" for obvious reasons.

If this doesn't make sense, then you are in over your head, and hire a friendly local computer geek to make it work.

Good luck

Now if you add another PC or printer, just give it 192.168.1.3 etc and all the machines will be able to communicate.

OR..

Buy a cheap USB hub. The printer doesn't draw any power from the USB, so it can be connected via a cheap hub that also connects another printer or low power device. In hindsight, that would be simpler and cheaper.

24 Mbps Cable Connection + 11.0 Mbps Router = Slower Connection?

I have a broadband cable connection which download speed can reach up to 24 Mbps. I have connected my cable modem with a router (Linksys, Wireless-B Broadband Router BEFW11S4) which I already set up for wireless security. My problem is, when I connect directly my modem to my laptop, I could have download speed around 2000 to 2300 kbps, but when is wireless, the speed drops to 600 kbps.
Is that because of my 11 Mbps Router? or I should get another one with 54 Mbps or higher? It looks like my router is blocking 70% of my bandwidth.
By the way, I have only one laptop on my network.

Hope, someone could help, thanks...
