Which is the best Steven Wilson song?

Well that’s a truly tough questionYou just asked what is god’s best creation everWell the progGod AKA Steven Wilson’s Songs are fruits that we savour.Their taste changes from progressive rock to alternative rock and recently to Pop music. Now we cant compare apples and oranges , right?Over the years Steven has been writing some absolute masterpieces and each one is amazingly better than the othersHe has become one of the “better” storytellers over the years especially after the album “The Raven that refused to sing”.Though he has personally stated the title track of the album “The raven refused to sing” as one of the best music pieces he has writtenTrust me i heard him live”I KNOW ;)”BUTEveryone has his/her favourite fruits and mine is the opening track of album “Get all you deserve”.LUMINOLThe song's backbone is its flowing and effusive bassline, which has been a typical theme in many of his works with Porcupine Tree, but it's been awhile since he's written one this effective. The character sketch is pretty detailed; Wilson describes the central character as an aged and wizened old man, strumming a guitar, playing songs he knew from long ago from dusty scratched LPs, but not scoring many style points while doing it. Although the track includes a litany of solos from various instruments, its keynote characteristic is Govan's majestic and flowing solo on the guitar. The technical virtuosity in his playing is obvious and undeniable, but never feels gaudy or overblown.I CALL THIS SONG WILSON’s MASTERPIECE.sorry Steven :)PS- There may be some people out here reading this answer who don’t listen to Steven Wilson’s work “phew”or haven’t checked out the song yet.well ↓↓↓Click the link AND FIND YOURSELF!PPS-PPS DO YOU KNOW HE CELEBRATED HIS 49th BIRTHDAY THIS YEAR.:) #godmode

Is a person who sings falsetto very often considered a bad singer?

There is nothing bad about someone who sings in earnest, only less healthy and strained choices in singing vs healthy and resonant choices. Untrained singers who sing solely in falsetto are slowly damaging their voices.Falsetto can sound relatively amazing, it just lacks the resonance of complete cord closure. Properly training your voice will help you develop healthier technique if falsetto with disconnected vocal folds is your default singing method.Someone who chooses to sing in falsetto can sound beautiful and light with the slight breathiness that some associate with gentleness, tenderness, or longing, because it is a lighter connection. However, use of falsetto more than occasionally for stylistic purposes will shorten the life of your voice. You will likely lose range and voice quality years faster than other aging voices, instead of being able to sing your heart out in your twilight years. If you are referring to the male falsetto as in classical terminology, then the falsetto can be the equivalent of a very solid and well developed head voice, in which case there is nothing bad about it.

What songs by Pink Floyd were written by Syd Barrett? And what songs are by David Gilmour?

Good question! Considering Pink Floyd's career spans more than half a century, (literally,) a complete list would be quite lengthy. I'm afraid I have neither the time nor inclination to compile it at present. However I can attempt to give you a truncated answer.Syd Barrett wrote almost all of the band's earliest material, including their first commercially successful singles such as "Arnold Layne" and "See Emily Play." He was also the driving force behind psychedelic epics like 'Astronomy Dominae." This was before David Gilmour had joined Pink Floyd. (Very briefly the band was a 5-piece with both Syd and David. But that's another story.)By their second album, Syd had only contributed one song. (Others were recorded but not used.) David Gilmour began to contribute some songs and collaborate with the other members of the group, but for the next ten years Rick Wright and Roger Waters probably received as much songwriting credit as Gilmour, though Waters' efforts to dominate the band are the stuff of legend. (The notable exception is disc two of 1969's Ummagumma, where each member of the band was allocated 1/2 of an album side, or about 12 minutes, for their own material.)Animals and The Wall were both concept albums constructed around Roger Waters' ideas, and The Final Cut is essentially his solo album. (Although I think Gilmour may have written "Not Now John.") Only after Roger Waters left, on rather bad terms indeed, was David Gilmour considered the main songwriter of the group, joined regularly by Rick Wright and occasionally by Nick Mason. Though I'm fairly sure that all of David's majestic guitar solos are his own work. Interestingly, I think Richard Wright was the only member of Pink Floyd with any formal musical training. So to summarize:Pre - 1968 was pretty much all Syd1968 - 1977 they took turns writing songs, and if one listens carefully you can pick out who wrote what1977 - 1983 the dictatorship of Roger Waters1985 - present, the Age of GilmourFor further research:Pink Floydhttp://www.allmusic.com/artist/p...

I’ve both fainted and had a seizure from standing up too quickly, is that normal?

I do the same thing. SAME EXACT THING. I was surprised when I read this as it describes me perfectly. I went to a doctor for this and this is what they told me:POTS: Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. The nurse helping me explained it to me in a simple way. Normally when a person stands up, to compensate for the different orientation, their blood vessels constrict slightly to increase their blood pressure and continue to supply blood to their brain. But in the sense of POTS, your blood vessels do not constrict, but your heart increases its BPM, which is not enough. The lack of blood to the brain causes you to pass out. Similarly to you, I also had a seizure. I was told that this had nothing to do with POTS, but something called Post Traumatic Seizures. In simple terms, when you pass out, your body is confused. In an attempt to see if everything is okay, your body sends signals to your muscles causing them to contract rapidly. Causing what looks like a seizure. What can cause this:Low Blood pressure: Anything below 90/60 can cause symptoms like this.Improper Diet: Low sugar intake, dehydration, or low salt intake can lower your blood pressure causing this as well.I would go see a doctor. This isn’t something as serious as others are making it sound. I have lived with it for almost 2 years now without any medication, and have been fine. I had multiple tests done, EKGs… etc. And everything seemed normal. I just eat more salt and drink more water to compensate. There is a very small chance that something else could be wrong, but I would doubt it. If your blood pressure is consistently low, doctors may prescribe medication to help raise it to safe levels. But don’t worry. This is a relatively, normal thing. If this is your first time passing out, welcome to the party. It isn’t too bad.
