A HEALTHY way to starve yourself?

Okay, I'm 17 and 263 lbs (Fat right? I know..) Well anyway my best friend was telling me about how he starved himself in middle school because he was way overweight. Now he is smaller, not annorexic but a healthy slim and he looks really good.

Well I told him I wanted to try it, but I wanted to do it without sticking my finger down my throat and not eating anything period.

So I was wondering how do you starve yourself, without it being too unhealthy?

How long do you think it will take with me doing that for me to lose the weight?

My boyfriend wants to starve myself...is this healthy?

It is wrong. He might think he has your best interest at heart but that is bad advice from him. He wants to see results overnight and that's not realistic or healthy. You need to eat just make sure that you are eating everything in moderation and you have a normal exercise routine. I also don't think the steroids are a good idea either.

You should get with a health expert to help you in your weight loss if you feel that you need to lose weight. I don't think you do but you want to make sure that you are healthy but your boyfriend seems like he wants you to look like a supermodel or something. That's just not right.

If I starve myself for a month will my butt and thighs get smaller?

Yeah you would loose a lot of weight, but then when you return to your normal eating then the weight would come back faster. So when you do go back to your normal eating make sure you don't eat too much fat and a lot of fruit and veg!

If you got dizzy last time, you will probably get dizzy again.

When you start eating again you gain any and all weight back you lost and sometimes even more some.

If you know it is not the healthiest way and it didn't work before why are you going to try to do it again now?

You are not "very different than other people", as many people may try to eat less but end up eating more (like myself at times).

You need to work on gaining more self-esteem and finding the positives about yourself. If you really need to lose weight (not that we can judge not knowing you height/weight), you need to eat healthy and balanced meals while also exercising regularly. It is the healthiest way to lose weight and keep it off.

I have been where you are. PLEASE!!!! DO NOT DO THIS!!!The best way for you to look good and feel good is to eat good food...not junk food. I know people who have died from anorexia and I have had health problems. Luckily for me I stopped before there were serious health problems. My sister however was not so lucky. She lost a baby, has had cancer problems due to her body not being able to fight it off, and now has the beginnings of heart problems. ALL can be traced to anorexia being the cause. Please take another look at yourself and do not compare yourself to anyone. HONESTLY look at yourself, I think you probably will see that you look fine. If someone is telling you that you are fat...don't listen. Whether you are overweight or not(which you arent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) eating a healthy diet and getting out and doing acitivities you enjoy for exercise....really is the best way. I hate exercising...however...I would hate to die worse.
I know what it is like to want to fit in and look like everyone else. I know it is hard if you think you don't. Please rethink this and what it WILL do to you. You have such a long life ahead of you and I am sure you have dreams you want to reach. You are worth so much more and deserve so much more.
You are more than what you see when you look in the mirror.
Pick out your favorite thing about yourself and hold on to that. It will help to concentrate on the thing that you like best about yourself. Some days...it is the only thing that keeps you going.

If you are overweight, and you don’t eat for 1 day, you will be at least 1 pound lighter by the next day. You actually have a higher chance of being 2–3 pounds lighter by the next day if you don’t eat anything.If you don’t eat anything for a week, you’ll probably lose around 10 pounds.Now here’s the kicker; You will gain the majority of it back as soon as you eat again. By the time you’ve gone through that week, your body is going to be in a different state. It’ll realize it hasn’t been eating, and it will greatly slow down your metabolism, making you very slow and weak. It’s going to be hard to even stand up by that point. Because of this, your ability to lose weight will drastically go down. Week 1 you may lose 10 pounds, week 2 you’re more likely to lose 2–3 pounds.Since your body will be so much weaker, you have a far greater chance of catching infections. You’re being constantly bombarded by viruses and bacteria, but a healthy body can easily fight the majority of them off, and cause you no problems. If you’re starving yourself, though, then your body gets weaker to things like that. If you go for 2 weeks, you’re at a very high chance of getting sick, and your body won’t be able to fight it off because it has no energy, and you have a very high chance of getting pneumonia. After that, unless you eat and heal up, you have a high chance of dying after around 4 weeks of not eating.So, don’t starve yourself. Instead, get a diet app on your phone and track all the food and calories you’re eating. It will tell you what a good amount of food to be eating will be. Follow that, and you’ll lose around 1–2 pounds per week for as long as you can stay on the program.
