How can i stop my boyfriend smoking weed?
wow y does this sound soo familiar....u sound just like me. or what used to be that is. ok so i read most of the answeres people have giving you, and alot of them are really stupid. first of all dont ask your bf if he chooses you or weed because chances are hes gonna say u (and if he doesnt then leave him because ur obviously not that important to him and u dont need that). but u cant try to make him quit because its not gonna work if he smokes that often. my x was the same. i tried to get him to stop for me and i went through the whole relationship thinking that he quit. but the truth is he was doing it behing my back the whole time. u dont want to be decieved like that beleive me it hurts. but just because they cant quit, doesnt mean they dont love u. it took me a while to understand this but eventually i did. when we broke up, late i decided to give weed a try. and i enjoyed it and began doing it often. when i realised how i was going overboard i stoped. it was really hard but i did. when i realised how hard it was i understood what i had been asking my bf was practically impossible. its not an addiction but when u do it soo much it becomes a lifestyle. it becomes part of who u are. the decision to stop has to come from him not u. soo what i think u should do is probaly copramise for him to do it when ur not around. i dont know about u but things feel more real in a relationship when the other person isnt high all the time. that way ur getting the part that u like about him, without him really having to change, because if u ask him to stop and he agrees, your going to notice a change in his behavior and beleive me u wont like it. maybe he can cut down on it at most? i know this is alot to read sorry, i tried to make it as short as possible hope i helped

why would you have to break up with him? my girlfriend tried getting me to quit when we first got together but then she realized, i never smoked around her and i'm never high when i'm with her. she tried it once and found it ok but doesn't do it(except for like once a month) but look at me. I have a beautiful girlfriend, Majoring in Public Relations and Minoring in Business, a stable job, starting a business with a friend, and going to school. Don't listen to these people saying you'll be drawn into it. you can make your own choices. but don't try an change him. if you wanna b with him, then be with him. just lay down the rules that he can't smoke or be high around you. also no1 gets angry from smoking weed and also no1 has ever died from smoking weed.

girl....he's never going to stop smoking no matter how much he says he loves you or you love him. You can't just change someone, they can only do it on their own after maybe a traumatic or life changing experience or a strong will. Also remember that you can't make excuses for your loved ones like oh he can't stop because his parents do it or it was just a phase. Weed does become an addiction no matter what anyone says, if it wasn't, he wouldn't be doing it for so long as a leisure activity. I know plenty of people that have this habit and they all have a lot of things in common. For one, they are unemployed or have a dead end job in which they are miserable in and the only thing that comforts them is the weed. I had plenty of really smart friends who turned to weed and after it became addictive they became forgetful. Forgetting what they were talking about in the middle of a sentence or forgetting how to spell or loss of responsibility. It really hurts because these people barely get by because they spend lots of their money buying the weed. If they have a family it ends up affecting that aspect of their life. There is so much i can type about this. I know its hard but i think you should just leave him now while you don't have any obligations to him. Your not married or have kids. If you want a better life for yourself leave him now and let him be alone with his weed. You don't want to find out the hard way with him, look he's already lied to you about not smoking the weed, doesn't it make you think what else has he lied about? If this gets out of control, down the road you might end up taking care of him financially.
