Computer lag after Windows 7 Install?
Hi guys, i had some problems wtih my computer, before 1-2 months i re-installed my Windows 7, well my friend did it. Anyways my computer has Anti-virus problems, there is no virus or anything. But my computer is laging very stongly on anything i do like searching the internet, opening files, game FPS droped very badly, like if i play something like WoW, the game has much lower FPS even on the lowest graphic posible. Games like BF3 worked before and was playable, but now its a horrible lag. And sone weird thing that happens, this is a laptop, so when i put it asleep (put the screen down) and try to wake it up again, after writing the password, the computer is laging very much, everything freezis and then i get Blue Screen. But ones or twice i opened my pc and it did not lag at all. Could it be dying drivers or something? But i tried to reinstall the Video Driver. And there is a error on Standard VGA ScreenCard. Could that be the big problem? I tried to redownload and reinstall it, it does not work. Did anyone meet this problem and could give me some help? Sorry for the bad English.
How to stop my computer from lagging?
Depends on your OS. First thing I would do is open Task Manager (right-click on Windows Toolbar on XP/Vista, CTRL-ALT-DELETE for older versions) and see what's using the most processing power. I had that problem recently and when I checked I saw that Nero (NMIndexer.exe) was using over 50% of my resources. Shutting it down improved the speed of my computer greatly. If you can't determine the cause, then download a cleaner like Advanced Windows care from http://download.com and scan your computer to clean junk files, defrag, manage startup programs and more. It doesn't have to be this program but on the Download.com site, check for programs like it under the Utilites section. Also a good defragger, especially one that can do a boot-time defrag will help improve your computer's speed. I recommend PerfectDisk 2008. And of course a good anti malware program like a-Squared Anti-Malware alongside an antivirus suite like Trend Micro PC-cillin will help to keep your PC free of the nasty files. I wouldn't use Kaspersky. With the programs I've listed I never have any performance issues.

It took me more than 2 days to find the solution, but here it is.First of all, install the IGI 1 game, if you don’t have it. Afterwards you’ll need to install a program called dgVoodoo 2. DgVoodoo 2 is a wrapper for old graphics API's for Windows Vista/7/8/10. That’s more than great, since I’m 100% sure that most of you are using Windows7, 8 or 10.So how do you download and install Dgvoodoo 2? Well, first of all, type “Dgvoodoo 2 download” in the google search bar. Afterwards, take the link that says “dgvoodoo2”. Afterwards, download the dgVoodo v2.53 (if that doesn’t work, just download the “dgVoodo v2.52”) and wait for it to download (it should download instant because the file is only around 700kilobytes). Alright, from now on, you’ll need to go to the downloads folder and open up downloaded file that you have downloaded (dgvoodoo2_53.zip). Make sure you extract the zip file in a folder.In the dgvoodoo2_53zip folder, you’ll see plenty of files, but what you are interested in, is the “MS” folder and the “dgVoodooSetup.exe”. Now, open the “MS” folder from the dgVoodoo2_53.zip. Afterwards, take all the 3 files, and move it to your IGI 1 game directory. After you have done that, go a back to the dgVoodoo2_53.zip folder and copy the “dgVoodooSetup.exe” in the IGI game directory.Alright, after you have copy and pasted the content of the MS folder and dgVoodooSetup.exe, you can go ahead and close the dgVoodoo2_53.zip folder. Now, go to your copied dgVoodooSetup.exe file, and double click on it. Now go on the DirectX tab. There you will see a tons of options. Go on the VRAM option and change it to the highest possible amount (like 1024MB). After that, go ahead and uncheck “dgVoodoo Watermark”. BOOM!. Now you can you ahead and open IGI up. To see if it works, go into IGI 1-Configuration – Graphics. If it worked, you’ll see that it will say “dgVoodoo DirectX Wrapper” in the “Render Device” section. There's these games I've been playing online with no problems. I wouldn't lag or get disconnected or anything like that. Then one day out of nowhere keep getting lag in game and keep getting disconnected. I thought it was a virus or something but it wasn't. I scanned for viruses, defragged my hard drive, and even cleaned my registry. Nothing helped. So I tried playing on my other comp but I have the same problems. Is there something wrong with my isp or something? What can I do to stop getting disconnected and lagging?

The Game was released with plenty of bugs and i assure you its not the fault of ur rig. Heck it even lags on consoles. Seems still no fix. Good job EA. These are common things to all laptop gaming :First check whether the default graphics is set to NVIDIA.Set the Power plan to High performance.Make sure you are plugged in while gaming. (This is must. since our laptops clock speed will be maximum when we plugged and game not on battery.)See whether the game you are about to play meets minimum recommendation as yourspecification. If not then you cannot except maximum performance or fps. You have no other choice than playing with low graphics.
