How To Stop Unknown Calls To Cell Phone

How do I stop calls from an "Unknown Number" ?

If you have Verizon, just go to the menu on your phone, and click "Settings and Tools". Then click "Phone Settings", then click "Security", and for your security number, enter the last 4 digits of your phone number. Then, click "Restrictions". You will have to enter your security code again. after that, clck "calls", then "incoming calls", and if you want to block all incoming calls whose numbers aren't in your contacts, click "Contacts Only". This will block calls from anyone who isn't in your contacts.
If you don't have Verizon, try searching your phone for any way to block calls from incoming numbers that aren't in your contacts.
Hope I helped.

I keep getting unknown phone calls, how do I stop them?

I keep getting phone calls, ( personal, commercial, and other public services) looking for certain individual to my cellphone.
I have also received some text messages of the same nature.
All these vary from casual invitations to baseball games, to questions regarding debts, to even confirmation of night club reservations and other recreational activities.
I usually don't answer the calls, but they still flood my voicemail inbox.
And they all say generally the same thing. " This message is for 'Jah-rehd-haveear' " or "Please press #3!" or even "Please wait.......................by waiting you are confirming that you are...'Jah-rehd-haveear' "
And just this morning I answered one of the calls.
" connect me to Jered please "
I say "We dont know anybody here by that name"
"You dont know Jered?" Then this creep gave me a weird electronic laugh and hung up.
Is there any blocking registry that I can use to block these calls for free?

How to block unknown calls on AT&T cell phone?

I suggest this service: http://phonedetectives.co - The best reverse cell phone lookup service.

It's a cheap service that works great! It could be used for a much deeper search. You can use it to get hold of different varieties of background reports, and in addition cell numbers, addresses and names.. you can get unlimited reports... I ran with this because I required to verify more numbers.

You can get the name, other phone number, address history, relatives, and much more about anyone! The completly free reverse phone lookup generally doesn't provide anything interesting. To get interesting information, money will must be paid. The free searches don't provide considerably more than what may be found through the phone directory or personal information and they simply require your email to send spam. The reverse phone detective search tool does work, but you should use just the service that I posted above. The last thing you want to do, is pay for a service and find the numbers you want to lookup are not available in their directory.

The service that I reccomend doesn't have any kind of problem , you won't get any bad surprise! Trust it!

Reverse Phone Lookup area gives you additional access to millions of public records, including:

+ Find out the source of a harassing ("prank") caller
+ Research a number that appeared on your phone bill
+ Locate an old friend from high school or college
+ Research "missed calls" on your caller ID that you don't recognize
+ Verify an address
+ And more...

Keep getting unknown phone calls?

You should be able to call your phone company & let them know what is going on, especially since this happens all the time. They might be able to track down who exactly is calling you. You should also alert the police- they might also be able to track down these phone calls as well. Either way, you need to get someone to track them since you are obviously feeling threatened by them. It looks like someone is stalking you- that's the only reason I can give for something like this. If someone is simply calling the wrong number then they'd eventually stop. I'd start logging when these calls are being made & how often. I'd also mention it to one of your teachers, just so they can know what is going on & so they can start looking out for you. If this person is trying to avoid you noticing them, then the teachers might notice someone or something that you miss. Is this a cell phone or your home phone? Depending on which it is, I'd start asking the people who know your number about who they might have given it to. If all else fails, then get your phone number changed & only give it out to people you know won't hand it out to someone else.

Keep getting unknown callers to my phone?

The past few months I've been getting unknown callers to my mobile phone. I mainly ignore them cause I dont wanna pick up, but a few times I have and its just been silence. Sometimes they'll stop and I wont get any for a few weeks but then I might get one for like 3 days in a row. How can I block them cause they're starting to worry me.

Yes, there is. I can help you with an Android cell phone. Other phones are similar.Go to 'SETTINGS' on your phone. From there locate the next category such as 'CALLS'.Go to 'CALL REJECTION'. Then 'AUTO REJECT LIST'. At the top select '+' (to signify 'Adding a Number).Type in the phone number you want to block, including area code.Hit 'SAVE' and the call will be blocked. If you later choose to UNBLOCK the number, follow the same steps and delete it from your 'AUTO REJECT LIST'.NOTE REGARDING TELEMARKETING - These agencies are ruthless, and are using multiple phone numbers to circumvent the CALL-BLOCKING/AUTO-REJECT system. If one number does not get you to answer, the AUTO-CALL will roll over to another number. They are even using phone numbers with your same area code, and phone prefix. They think that if you see a number that is local, or looks familiar, they will succeed in getting you to answer. The best way to deal with this is to not answer calls from any UNKNOWN numbers. They will never leave a message. It is a pain when doing business, and you receive calls from potential clients with unknown numbers, but you have to personally weigh the benefits of this.Further, there is a new SCAM/CON in which the person who calls asks you a question in an effort to get you to say "YES". This question might be "Can you hear me now?" or, "I'm talking to you on a recorded line, is that OK?". The "YES" response is recorded and used to authorize unwanted charges to a credit card/cable bill, etc. And, yes, they may already have some of your information. REMEMBER: It is not impolite to hang-up on someone you do not know. For further info on this check out this link.Beware new "can you hear me" scamAnd, check out Consumer Federation of America - Consumer Protection.BE AWARE - BE PROACTIVE - TELL YOUR FRIENDS /FAMILY

It depends on the type of phone you have and what you are receiving a call on. If the calls are going to a home phone, you will have to contact your service provider to request to have the number blocked. If you have a cell phone, you should be able to block all calls and texts from that number. While I am not familiar with androids, on iPhones you can go to your recent calls, press the (!) icon on the right of the person you want to block, scroll to the bottom of the contact or number information and press Block this Caller. If you are receiving a call on a social media app such as Facebook Messenger, Instagram, or Snapchat, you will need to block the caller’s account.

Can you stop an unknown number from calling you?

How pathetic you are dwelling with all of this drama. Backside line: you might be being threatened. Keep the threatening texts and voice mails and stop being a whole and whole fool. Your stupidity makes me consider you like this attention he's supplying you with because your choices on the right way to handle it are really stupid, i'm afraid to assert. Either you are taking the RECORDED VOICE MAILS and text MESSAGES to the police and have the police manage that assaholic ex boyfriend of yours or you proceed putting up with this crap. Choose one, discontinue whining and take some freaking manipulate of your existence, for crying out loud.

You can use http://truecaller.com app. It allows you identify and block the numbers you select and it also automatically blocks spammers.
