How can we prevent Quora from turning into Yahoo! Answers?

With all due respect, I sometimes think they should be stricter.I feel sad when I read things, that in MY opinion contain underlying racism on the part of the questioner.Things like: Why does everyone think Australian aboriginals are ugly? There are hundreds of variations of this question and for some reason I get asked to answer these types of questions. Quite honestly it makes me feel like crying.Or the: Why does everyone think an average white girl is beautiful and a beautiful black girl ugly? (It sickens me to even write this).Don’t the writers of these questions notice how insulting they are? Are they trying to provoke the 0.01% of the population that are probably racist and hate everyone. Are they trying to prove that white people are racist without noticing how racist their own question is?And also, as a question, it is a flawed question, a sub-par question, and definitely an ignorant question because it’s based on an fictitious assumption that the questioner has just dreamed up in their head.I mean, is it a forgone conclusion that everyone thinks that an aboriginal is ugly?? NO, NO, NO, then why is that question allowed in a quality site such as Quora. It belongs on a hate site.I don’t think anyone would miss my existence on Quora if I left it, but whenever I read such ignorance I really feel like giving it up. It kinda ruins my day.

How do I sue someone who steals content from answers on Quora?

Its a shameful act but keeping things straight, you can't sue him under IPR (Intellectual Property Rights). As you see, Rohit didn't opt for "Not for reproduction", and this guy- Akash Pandey" added many lines in between to show that it is his creation. Like,It hurts when people judge you for being jobless. I have completed my BE in IT last year and here I am in Bangalore honing my Java Programming skills at a reputed institute.Became-It hurts when people judge you for being jobless. I have completed my BE in CS in 11 and came to Banglore all alone. Initially, I was helpless as there was no one who can help me to get even single room and to this new city I was roaming like a man who don't know where to go and what to do.So, he tried to create a story out of Rohit's to the point answer. Similarly, there are many other add-ons, though contents are mostly similar.Coming to the point:-I tried to report through his profile but it doesn't allowing me to do so and asking to do it through the post. So, if you have an access to the post, report about it. Apart from that, you can have a look at Facebook's IPR Guidelines- About Intellectual PropertyYou know what? This is not the first time such incident took place. There are many contents which are published without proper attribution and credits to the OP and the worst part is that OP didn't get appreciation that much as compared to the person who plagiarized. That's the unfortunate part of the Internet. In fact, couple of days ago, someone shared a news that Scoopwhoop writers stealing Quora's contents and publishing it without any issue. In short, you actually can't sue and even sue then it won't bring any quick result. So, I'd advise you to report about the post, group and this guy's profile with relevant documentation. And, if I can help you somehow, let me know. We can't sue him but we can let others know that its not his original creation! And, I request Marc Bodnick, Tatiana Estévez, Jonathan Brill to share their views about this. When an user from Quora shares someone's contents without attribution, it used to be collapsed and writer faces consequences of it, in case of multiple violations. But, don't they have a policy about externals who share Quora's Answers without proper attribution and due credits. And, if they don't have, then why don't they make a policy regarding this?

How would you react if Yahoo decides to buy Quora?

I wonder how would Adam D'Angelo react to see the question itself. :-)It's like asking how would it be when Netscape buys Mozilla Firefox. Quora is supposed to be enhancing the question/answer experience Yahoo! screwed up. It won't be good to see a better product in the hand of the worse product in the same market.

I want to sue my landlord, Rochester NY?

We are getting out of our lease after 6 months of hell, the landlord agreed we can leave may 1st (this is in writing) but there are still things wrong with the apt. We refuse to pay the rent for april, for all we care they can keep the security dep. We want to sue for everythig we have been though, and all the money it has cause us, emotion, depression, etc. Should we file at small claims court before or after we move??? Or should we file before April since we are not paying the rent??

Why hasn't Solve Media been sued by Yahoo for patent infringement?

That's because Yahoo doesn't have a patent on the technology covered in the US20080133347 publication. The USPTO PAIR database shows that the patent application was abandoned by Yahoo and was not granted a patent. When there is no patent in question, there can not be any suit.Kshitij Malhotrakshitij.malhotra@inohelp.com
