How To Tell Friend To Stop Copying My Work

How can I nicely tell my friend to stop copying me? She is suddenly getting better grades because she is copying my work secretly.

OMG IM GOING THROUGH THE SAME THING! My friend was an average student and now she’s doing better. Still not as smart as me though. She’s always sitting next to me in class and gets mad when someone else sits with me. The other day she COMPLAINED TO THE TEACHER and said that she works better when she’s next to me. I think she even likes the same guy. She even copies how I act and what I say!!!! HELP! She benefits from me. But all she does is upset me and mess with my mental health AND DRAG ME DOWN. Lol this is no help to you but….idk I just needed to rant!

How do I tell my friend to stop copying my homework/tests?

I've had my share of these people. It's not worth it to stress out over them. They're not even good friends.

You just have to text her back and say, "Sorry, but letting you copy was only a one time thing. Don't mean to be rude, but I'm not comfortable letting others copy off me. No hard feelings, kay?" Don't let her know it's a personal thing, but just in general that you don't like others cheating off you.

And you know what the funny thing is? The people who copy off you always get the better grade for some reason!

Just be firm and if your friend gets mad, let her. She can't go around telling people to hate you because she was too lazy to do her homework. Why should you do the work for the two of you? Besides, if your teacher catches the two of you, BOTH of you can get into a lot of trouble. It's not worth the risk.

Good luck and hope it works out.

How do I get my friend in college to stop copying me?

Tell them to stop copying you.Or if you’re not someone who could say that, ask them why they are copying you in the first place. If it’s for these reasons listed below“I’m lazy.”“I was too tired to do the work.”“I forgot.”“I was busy”Tell your friend to stop copying you, or switch spots with someone else, so your friend leaves you alone. If it’s for these reasons listed below“I can’t see.”“I didn’t hear what our professor was saying.”Tell them to go to an optometrist for some glasses, and an otolaryngologist for a hearing aid.But if it was a personal problem that your friend was facing, just tell them it’s the last time you would let them copy off of you. College is stressful.I hope that helps.

Friend always copying my work?

I'm a pretty good student and I do my work really fast, so my friend just asks me what each question is, she'd be like
her: hey whats question 1?
me: __________
her: hey whats question 2?
me: __________
her: hey what's question 3?
me: ________
and it just keeps going on until theres no more questions left.
the other day, we made had to make a job advertisment poster for a pharaoh, and my friend was complaining to me how this other person was copying her work, then she just grabbed my book and read it, then started writing down all my facts. she stole every job requirement I wrote, even my best one (Must be male, we only accept women under special circumstances). and when I asked her about it she just said: what? I didn't copy you. hahahahaha. when clearly she did. I mean seriously? YOU TOOK MY BOOK, AND READ IT. then you started writing down the exact same things you just read from my book onto your book. I think that classifies as COPYING.
she even copys READING COMPREHENSION. the answers are all in the text but she's still TOO LAZY. she keeps nagging until she gets her way. and then the teacher comes by and says: wow, that's great ______. you finished your work really fast! when she copied of ME.
isn't it weird how people who copy you get better grades than you?
the weird thing is how she never lets people copy (not much) or she complains about people copying her but then she just goes around and copys whole pages of work.
and the bad thing is she ALWAYS does it better then me.
it's my answers, but she presents it really well and woos the teachers.
and I don't want to confront her about it cause she's a friends and I don't want to lose her.
her excuse is : I let you copy last time. she did. but not much of it. I don't know how I explain this. but when it's something easy, I want to figure it out MYSELF. or by the time she tells me the answer, I've already figured it out
we had this maths sheet once. and there was this really annoying question, cat + dog = toad. when I figured it out, she just went. OH YOUR DONE? and copied my answers.
then she told everyone else the answer so it looked like she did it
what I don't get, is how people can still feel good about themselves after copying WHOLE pages of work off someone. I only copy under dire circumstances, when I seriously don't know the answer.

How do I get my ‘friend’ to stop copying my art style? It’s really bugging me.

Why not just tell them how you feel. You’ve got to speak up for yourself. They have no problem taking what they want, you can find your voice to say what you want. Now that can result in hurt feelings, so one idea would be to suggest looking at other artists work and copying them. Suggest something she might like or might be interested in and see if she follows that. I think you know what I mean - like telling someone they might look good in that kind of outfit - but it would be the work she does. It’s not a compliment to steal someone else’s ideas, it’s just copying. And it makes you feel like less when that happens, like something special you’ve done isn’t as special - it isn’t you anymore. You might want to find a way to tell them that - that you’d like to see the kind of work they do instead of doing yours - see how inventive or creative they can be on their own. Suggestion can be a powerful influence, why not see how that works with her.But you could also tell them exactly how you feel, and just be honest with why, how it bothers you when you worked hard to come up with what you do.

How do I ask my friend to stop copying my homework?

There's a girl in one of my classes that has gotten into the habit of copying my homework a lot. Now, I don't mind letting a friend copy off my homework every once in a while (as long as they'll return the favor), but this is almost every day and its getting ridiculous.

The first time she asked if she could copy one of my papers, I said sure because I thought maybe she just forgot or was too busy or something. But the next day, the same exact thing happened. I do like this person, and even though we're not the best of friends, I don't really want to hurt our friendship. I just feel like shes kind of taking advantage of me.

How do I tell her nicely to stop?

What should I do if my ‘friend’ is copying my art style, and how do I tell her to stop?

If you mean she is inspired by your work, take that as a compliment. Instead of becoming incensed at it, remember you are friends and friends share things. If you’re worried people will be confused as to which works belong to whom, sign your work. Regardless of how much it may seem she is copying your style, be assured that the hand of the artist almost always shows through. Consider the works of Picasso and Braque who worked closely together for several years in Paris before either of them were very famous. Together they developed cubism to a high degree. Often times people aren’t sure if a cubist work is Braque’s or Picasso’s if they aren’t familiar with cubism, but those of use who study works of art because it is our passion know the difference immediately. Your hand as an artist will show through your work. Don’t worry if your friend is inspired by what you are doing—instead be very flattered.

How do I stop people from copying my work?

I take it that you are talking about copying your work while at school. Why not try and turn away from the person by having your work in another position on your desk. You can try cupping your arm around your work to hide it. This will however say to the person next to you "I do not trust you". Do not forget they can only copy while you are doing your work. At other times your books are closed. You can explain the situation to your teach but then that will only make you enemies. It is something that we have all gone through,in fact I at times have been the guilty party.
