By combining strength training with a ketogenic diet.If you're trying to lose fat but maintain, or even gain weight, strength training is your new best friend. So consistently train all your major muscle groups and you should notice some fat loss without weight loss. But no amount of exercise will out work a bad diet, and on the nutrition front it’s hard to imagine a more effective way to reduce body fat than the keto diet. Here are some steps to followChoose core exercises that work more muscles than just the abdominals. Perform the plank, bicycle crunches, the bridge and leg lifts. Start out by holding plank and bridge for 30 seconds, 10 bicycle crunches on each side and up to 10 double leg lifts. Instead of going quickly through the exercises, breathe evenly and slowly during each one and concentrate on maintaining proper form throughout the movements.Increase the times you hold each movement, and add repetitions to your routine. As before, focus on holding the proper form, but challenge yourself to move past your previous stopping point. When you can easily perform sets of all the core exercises you’ve chosen, make them more difficult by doing modifications with stability balls. The ball forces the body to focus on balance during each exercise, working core muscles harder and toning muscles faster.Eat a healthy, balanced diet. High-fat and high-cholesterol foods can contribute to both visceral and subcutaneous abdominal fat, and following a healthier diet can help flatten out the midsection. Stick to whole, fresh foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats, legumes, fish and low-fat or nonfat dairy. Limit saturated fat, added sugar, cholesterol and trans fat.Add aerobic and cardio exercise to your routine, but limit the time and intensity of your sessions. Aerobic exercise is one of the most effective ways to get rid of excess belly fat, but be aware that aerobics burns more calories than core work does. Stick to ACE's recommendations of three to five 30-minute sessions of aerobics per week. To maintain your current weight, stick to light or moderate aerobic activities and don’t reduce the number of calories that you normally eat each day.Source: How to Get a Flat Stomach Without Losing Weight

How to lose fat without losing weight?

First off, and most importantly, I do NOT want to lose weight. Not a single pound!!! However, I do want to lose fat, like on my stomach. There are a lot of people on here that have asked the same question I did, and all they got was advice on how to lose weight, not just fat. I've been doing twenty minutes of high impact cardio, weights, and forty minutes of yoga multiple times a week for almost two months now. I've toned up some, but I still have flab, and I don't have time to work out more than that. Will this eventually burn everything off? I don't want to change my diet, which is pretty healthy already, because I do NOT want to lose weight. I'm trying to maintain it right now, then gain some weight in a healthy way once I get toned up. So, how can you get rid of fat, without losing weight? I feel like I'm never going to get in the shape I want, no matter what I do.

Tone my body or lose weight?

Typically you should lose weight then tone up, but there is certain cardio exercise (designed to get your heart rate going = burn fat = lose weight) that ALSO work muscles so you can tone up a bit at the same time. Examples would be like elliptical, that's cardio & works your quads, hamstrings and gluttes. Or jump roping is cardio but also works out calf muscles & a little abdominal. You could do "stadiums" like at the bleachers at a local high school's football field, that works out your lower body muscles again, while still doing cardio. Get creative! I played volleyball forever and our coach was a health freak, so our workouts incorporated cardio and resistance training and weights. We did a lot of circuit type of work outs w/ a lot of repititions, which alternated between cardio exercises and some type of muscle exercise. I would suggest trying to lose weight before any major toning up because your toning up results won't shine enough if you need to lose weight first. Good luck!
