How To Track A Cell Without Gps

Can I track a mobile without internet and GPS?

You need to break the problem down into two components:Sensing the mobile device location. iOS and Android have multi-layered location services, that use GPS, wifi, Bluetooth beacons, and cell towers to determine location. As others have noted, cell towers yield highly imprecise location estimates. Wifi can significantly improve precision even if the device doesn't connect to the network, because OS location services can use the presence of a wifi SSID to infer location information: given the SSID of Starbucks Wellesley MA, the device mist be near that location. Similar story for low power Bluetooth beacons with even more limited range: given the iBeacon signal of the Apple Store in Natick, MA…Communicating that location back to your service. If you need real-time location tracking, you will need real-time communication via cellular data network, wifi, or Bluetooth connection to another device with Internet access. Some applications may be viable with a store & forward approach: save location information to local device storage, and upload intermittently under specified conditions. For example, I have my podcast app set up to download only when I'm connected to wifi, to economize on my monthly GB cellular data budget.Bottom line, you need to define the requirements to build a great solution for your specific customer problem. Any of the four options are possible:Low precision, real-time: use cell tower location and cell networkHigh precision, real time: use all available location-sensing modes, and cell of wifi networkLow precision, store & forward: use cell tower location and intermittent uploadHigh precision, store & forward: use all available location-sensing and intermittent uploadWhich one makes the most sense for your target customer?

How do you track someone's cell phone through GPS?

Anybody who would come to that conclusion, that is, that those who experience disaster are being punished, are betraying an ignorance about what the Bible teaches about the character of God.We humans tend to view longevity or material possessions or good health as blessings and therefore poverty or illness or a shortened life as tragic. But what if what really matters in this life is the lessons we learn through our suffering? This life is mercifully short and packed with experiences that will translate into the next life..or not, depending on what we do with them.the Bible says that God is not willing that any should perish but that all would come to repentance. The most wicked King of the kingdom of Judah was Manasseh. He reigned for 55 years, more than any other king and yet he shed innocent blood during most of his reign. His grandson, Josiah, only reigned 31 years, though he was one of the top 5 Kings of Judah, in righteousness comparable to King David. What was Josiah's sin that he be so punished? Only God knows the answer to this question, but I do find it interesting that Manasseh had a change of heart at the end of his life and enacted a series of reforms before he died.Had he been properly judged for all of his misdeeds, that moment of repentance would not have happened and he would have died in his sins. Why was John the Baptist beheaded, as well as James, but Peter was spared? I'm sure God had his purposes. The disciples once asked Jesus, who sinned, this blind man or his parents? Jesus told them, neither the blind man or his parents sinned but he was left that way for that very moment so that when Jesus healed him it would bring glory to God.Luke 13 Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 Jesus answered, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? 3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. 4 Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”

Is there any way to track an Android device without Internet via GPS?

Does a GPS sensor of Android devices work without internet connections?Any GPS receiver (including the receiver in any smartphone) does its job using only the data it receives via radio from the GPS satellites. This data enables it to determine the distances to at least four of the GPS satellites, and from that it can determine your position. That’s all GPS does: determine your position. Your GPS receiver doesn’t need the Internet to do this. However, just knowing your longitude and latitude is probably not what you’re after. If you want to do anything other than just display your longitude and latitude, you need more than just GPS — you need some software and a lot of additional data.If you use a program such as Google Maps, you have to have Internet access. When Google Maps displays your position on a map, calculates a route, or displays nearby traffic, it’s using the Internet to download maps, perform calculations, and retrieve traffic data from Google’s servers. The are lesser-known smartphone apps, such as Copilot, which download ahead of time all the maps for a given area (in the U.S., typically a region, such as the southeast states) so that they don’t need an Internet connection to work. Such apps are ideal for users who don’t have a plan that allows them to use a lot of mobile data.Stand-alone GPS units, such as those made by Garmin and Magellan, usually come with maps for a country pre-loaded, and again, no Internet connection is necessary. But regardless of the hardware and software you use, it all starts with a GPS receiver that determines your position using only the data it receives from satellites, no Internet required.

How does one track a cell phone without the person knowing?

Now before I get bombared with "this isn't right" or "leave him" lets be fair.
About 3 months ago I caught my husband being unfaithful through credit cards and his cell phone, credit cards lead me to check his cell phone....it was horrible and very upsetting but after fighting, yelling, crying and screaming we've both made the mutual decision to try and work things out. I've never snooped on him, checked his emails, or phone calls etc. but to be blunt my trust in him is completely broken and so now for the time being I want to know where he is so that it can do two things 1) know that he's being honest so our trust can be rebuilded 2) if he isn't being honest knowing when to give up and move on. I'm successful, I'm healthy and keep in shape, we had a healthy sex life 3-6 times a week......so I am completely at loss with why he cheated. Anyway I would need something affordable/cheap or free that can be installed into his phone without him knowing (I plan to get rid of it after some time, so it being removable is a big plus). I don't want to use gps just because it has to be on for it to work from what I understand and have been reading...and I need something that I can access from my phone to check his location. We both have the same phone HTC if that helps. Please help, we've been going to therapy but I need more than just talking about our feelings, I need proof that he's being honest. Thank you so much for any help you can give me.

Can someone track my location through my cell phone without my permission?

GPS is part of the phone, it is on there so that when you dial 911 you get the right dispatcher. When cell service first got started you got your home 911 operator, and then you had to give them your location for transfer of the call. But yes you can if someone has the equipment be tracked by your calls. Nothing has to be installed on your phone it is already there. Most phones somewhere in your settings allow for the GPS to be turned off. But even then you could be tracked by your calls made.

Can a cell phone's (without SIM card) location be traced?

Short answer: Yes you can trace a phone, with or without the SIM card. How easily it can be traced is highly variable.

As long as the battery is good, you can use a cell phone to make an emergency call even if its service has been cancelled.

As an experiment, it would be easy enough to pull the SIM card from any phone and try using it. I think it will still allow "911" calls, but nothing else. No calls to friends.

Older phones don't have GPS, so it's possible her phone didn't have that feature. Without GPS, the only way to trace a phone's location is for the the police to contact the phone company to triangulate the signal between two or more cell towers - assuming the phone is in range of two on more towers.

Out somewhere in the woods, chances are the phone was only in range of a single cell tower, which makes triangulation impossible. At best, you might be able to indicate a direction the phone's signal is coming from, but that's still a wide area to search. Even if the police were being diligent (questionable), they still might not have been able to find her in time.

By the way, tracing without GPS requires the phone be in use - like the girl's active call to the police. If the call drops, that kills the ability to trace.

Also, triangulation only works if you are not moving. If her 30 minute call to police was while she was being driven around in the trunk of the car, then there wouldn't be a realistic chance of finding her until the killers stopped.
