Your dog won't like it because all of a sudden you will be in complete control, but trust me they work awesome. You can also use it for training then in a year switch back to regular color. I have a part Terrier and part pit bull. He is 9 months old and you can say potty trained. He does let us know when he has to go outside by either circling the sofa or just giving us a stare like i gotta go man. Well the problem we have been having is that he sometimes poops in the house. Usually right near us when we are preoccupied. We take him out in the morning, and evening. Between that sometimes we take him out 4-6 times. We try to take him out the moment he try's to get our attention. The problem is he will pee but will not poop. So after taking him out 3 times with out pooping we bring him in and not even 1 hour goes by he poops in the house. I do spank him when i have seen the aftermath. I know they say punish only when u see the act being done but i am loosing Patience with him. Any suggestions?

5 month old Great Dane wont stop peeing in the house.?
I have a 5 month old male Great Dane, who we got when he was only 8 weeks old. He picked up on potty training nearly the next day, which was pretty good; considering the people we got him from had him ,and his litter mates in a large room covered with newspaper, and pee ,and poo everywhere! I thought for sure he would be hard to potty train because of that reason alone. Instead he learned to use wee wee pads the same day we got him, and continued to until we weened him from them, and he started to hold his pee until we let him out. Lately he has been really naughty in the house, he goes outside at least 3 or 4 times a hr!!! and he goes every single time, and yet he will still come in and pee and poop. We let him out after he's been playing around with the other dogs, before and after hes done eating. We separate his time out side to go potty from time to go out to play. He holds it in his cage at night and when he needs to be in his crate during the day. I don't know what to do, I'm loosing my patience with him. I've even taken him for walks to make sure hes got enough time to go to the bathroom before I take him inside, and that didn't seem to work either. What should I do if he does have an accident? I've potty trained plenty of dogs and never had this problem. When hes bad I let him watch me pick it up, and I tell him "NO!" then let him outside again to finish if he has to. Sometimes I will put him in his crate for time out (only like 10mins) then let him outside again. Anyone have any suggestions? He's such a good dog but I feel like most of my time spent with him is yelling at him for being naughty, and always letting him outside. He started off so good. :(

Can you post numbers for him to look up? What temperament tests has he passed? What titles does he have? What kennel is he out of? Sorry, but with estimates as high as 1,000,000 pit bulls being killed in shelters in the US alone, a "good owner" doesn't breed a pit without a stellar reason. Lack of penis size isn't a valid reason. It's also estimated that 75% of any backyard breeder pit bull litter will end up in a shelter at some point. That means you are going to have to pay close attention, especially out on walks.Please do not give your puppy rawhide chews! They get soggy and can be a real choking hazard. I almost lost a dog to one years ago. They also teach your dog that it is okay to chew on leather. If you want to protect shoes, bags, furniture or jackets not giving your puppy rawhide is the first step.Foods- Please make certain that you don’t give your puppy raw or freeze dried raw food/treats. Puppies do not have a fully developed immune system so these things can make them sick.
