How To Treat An Infected Ear Fast

How to treat infected stretched ears?

Firstly, get the damn tapers OUT OF YOUR EARS!!
So sick of telling people this, but tapers harbor bacteria, create uneven stretches AND can damage your lobes.
When stretching, you should buy a set of plugs (surgical steel, titanium or glass, single flare or no flare), sit it flush with the taper, and push the plugs through after the taper.

2 months isn't long enough to wait between stretches. You need to wait at least 3, and that's the minimum.

Now, to get to the actual state of your lobes. Downsize to at least a 6g, making sure you have titanium, glass or surgical steel SF or NF plugs/eyelets. Do Sea Salt Soaks 2-3 times a day, and just leave your lobes the hell alone until they're better.

Never use harsh chemicals (like peroxide) to clean your tapers OR plugs/eyelets. It is so harsh, that it will actually affect the health of your lobes. Also, Neosporin= incredibly bad for fresh stretches and infected ears.

Once your lobes have healed, massage them with Vitamin E or Emu Oil. This will help break down the scar tissue. 3 months down the track, you can think about stretching again.

How do you treat an infected ear lobe?

Well, you have two options.Saline solution. It needs to be so salty you can’t bear the taste of it. Always make it fresh (even though most bacteria wouldn’t be able to survive in it, if it’s that concentrated). Keep the area dry otherwise, warmth and moisture are perfect for microorganisms. Hope it blows over in a few days. Watch out for a fever. If that happens, see point 2.If it doesn’t blow over you risk a more serious infection, and you should see your family doctor to get a prescription for antibiotics. Make sure you take the prescribed dose for as long as you’re told. Follow that up with some probiotics (after the course) like fermented milk products, yoghurt, etc.I’m not a doctor, or a piercer, or anything of the sort. I have had issues with stretching my earlobes a little too fast (don’t do that), weird stuff coming out of my ears and so on.

How do I treat my Ear Piercing Infection?

I've had my ears pierced for two months and they have been infected once before. It went away quickly so I didn't go to a doctor. I just woke up today and my left earlobe was really swollen and bleeding a little. I don't want to see a doctor, so are there any home treatments that are safe to treat the infection?

How do I treat an adult ear infection at home?

Supprisingly ear infections can be viral as well as bacterial. If you have allergy symptoms as well your ear tubes may not be draining and you need a decongestant. If your ear infection has a fever or is getting worse and not better then you probably need an oral antibiotic.

If they gave you topical antibiotic drops then the infection may be localized to the drun or external canal though some drops absorbe well through the drum.

If the physician thinks it may be viral then tylenol or motrin for the pain combined with ear drops.

Some people use warm (to body temprature) clove oil drops in the ear as a pain releiver. They should not be used at the same time as the antibiotic drops and you should consult with your physician to make sure that they wont cause more harm than good.

How do I treat an ear infection from cheap earrings?

hi there first of all you cant wear these kinds of earings, i am the same way and i can only wear gold, or silver, platinum. That is it. Now for getting rid of the infections, buy some hydrogen peroxide, and put this on your ears 4 times a day with a saturated cotton ball. After that pat dry, and buy some polysporin(an antibiotic ointment,) then put it on your ear on both sides do this at least 3 times a day. It will probably take about 3 days, and it will almost be gone. BUT DON;T WEAR ANYMORE CHEAP EARINGS OR IT WON;T GO AWAY!! seriously you can;t wear those king at all , if you do, only for and hour or two but only after your ear is completley healed but you are better off saving your money and buy some silver earings or gold, and this will NEVER happen again
