How To Turn Off Over Lapping Type When Composing An Email

How do I stop my keyboard from typing/overlapping letters and make it insert letters again?

I accidentally must have pressed a hotkey on my keyboard. If I start typing in the middle of a sentence, it doesn't insert letters, it replaces that space with the letter I punched. What do I do? Does anyone know the shortcut to change this? It's frustrating me like crazy, cuz it happens a lot! And, I don't know how to change it! It's only in my hotmail thought .. any thoughts appreciated!

Tips for building a tack room in the barn?

We are planning to put a tack room in our barn this spring & I wanted to ask others what their suggestions, their insights, their after thoughts would be for someone just starting to plan the design.
Our barn is an arched roof so the wall isn't straight it is curved. It will be about 4’ by 8’ in size with a roof at 8’, we'll build it with 2x4's & insulated & cover with plywood & painted inside & out. I want to have some lights in it, but don't have water in the barn.
I need a place for saddles, blankets, bridals, halters, ropes, a shelf for brush’s, a cabinet for first aid kit etc etc, & of course we hope to get this as mouse proof as possible.
With this all said what would you suggest. What did you wish you’d have done (don’t say build and bigger better barn as we all want that! Haha) but didn’t think of it until after. Is there any books, magazines, web sites or references that you’d suggest us to look at. I’d just love to know other ideas, tips, suggestions you have.

How do I write an email to a professor asking to change exam schedule?

As you phrased the question, I don’t recommend it. Typically it’s not the professor who sets the dates of tests and exams, it’s the administration of the University. So in that case writing the professor is pointless. Even if the professor did set the date of the exam, asking them to move the date of a big test just for the convenience of a single student is not realistic. If you’re asking how you would ask your professor if you can take an exam on a different date that when it’s scheduled, even then it might be a problem. Certain schools automate the whole system. If that’s the case your professor might be able to unlock it for you ahead of time, or you might need to talk to the head of the department. Under no circumstances should you ask to take it late, unless a genuine emergency made you miss the exam.

I got an onboarding mail of Cognizant. Within how many days do we need to complete the one registration in the Cognizant portal?

Thanks for A2A.When my batch DOJ came, some of us had no PAN and passport. They provided affidavit kinda document saying that they would submit it on DOJ.Even on DOJ, some people had the same issue neither PAN nor passport. They had to sign some docs saying they would provide it within 3 months. You guys can follow the same way.I would suggest to collect passport and PAN asap before joining the company. Otherwise you won't have time to do these stuffs and gonna suffer horribly. I'm not scaring you, cts is very employee friendly in these matters. But these things are mandatory not optional. So hurry up!!! All the best too!!!

How can I include selling on Ebay under the "work experience" section of a resume?

I haven't had a traditional job for several years and the only "job" if I could call it that during this time has been selling various merchandise on Ebay. I would like to list this under the "work experience" category of a resume but I don't know how to do it in order for it to look credible. First of all I would like to know - does selling on ebay count as work? Whether it does or doesn't, I would really appreciate some tips on how to write it in my resume. Is there a way to phrase it so that prospective employers will see this as a real job?

The College and University Experience: How do I ask a professor for a makeup midterm if I overslept the exam?

True story, this happened to me! The three days leading up to mid-terms I had been averaging 2-3 hours a night of sleep. I was running on empty. The night before (really it was about 4am) I set my alarm and quickly fell out. When I awoke I looked at the clock and it was 1 hour after the exam start time, the exam was over, my alarm was still ringing. Really bad because this class was my best class and thus far I had been killin' it. I had done the majority of the recommended but not required homework problems and the exam was open book/notes(though that can sometimes mean terror) but I wasn't going to need them. I had this exam nailed--if only I had showed up for it! Frantic, I wasted not one second and drafted this email:Subject: I can't believe this happened...Dear Professor Klemer:For reasons I am too embarrassed to use as an excuse (though not due to being unprepared), I missed taking the EE330 mid-term this afternoon!  I assure you: completely missing an exam is unlike my normal character.  I'm a diligent student who attends every one of your lectures; I sit right in the front (I'm the one who emailed you about the RFP input specs, line level, etc.).  I've done 90% of the recommended homework.  Had I been there I certainly would have gotten an A on it.Is there any way I can still take the exam?  I'm willing to oblige any additional exam requirements to make this possible; e.g. with closed book/notes, a longer/more difficult exam, while suspended upside down in a pool of sharks and holding my breath, or any other inconvenience you might devise. At Your Humble Mercy,Rustin BergrenYou will notice I didn't lie. I didn't even offer an excuse by playing up how much sleep I had been missing. I took full responsibility for what was my error. We scheduled to discuss it in person. Upon meeting, he asked me if there was something related to a job or a medical condition and I said, "No, the reason is not excusable. I accidentally slept through it. I'm mortified to even admit it and I understand if there is nothing you can do."He then essentially said that he would have to now write a separate exam just for me and that I would have points taken off. I was absolutely elated and completely grateful. I thanked him profusely as I was not expecting this.Anyways, I ended up with an A in the course. The lesson I learned from it was this:If you put people in a position to be really cool, they usually will be.

How can I write an e-mail requesting a makeup test to a professor?

Ok, something like this. I’d say it’s 50/50. But it doesn't hurt to ask, no decent teacher gets upset over a polite request. Also, no details about why you missed the test. Maybe a 2 or 3 word phrase like “family emergency” “sickness” “medical problem” Never tell them your grandma died. If they want specifics to make their decision they will ask. And whatever and however they respond, your reply should be “I understand. Thank you.” Last, you’d be better off asking in-person in office hours. It’s simply harder to say no to a person in the room with you than to an email.Dear Professor X,I missed our test in {class name] on {date} due to a [family emergency]. I’m dedicated to doing well in your class, and would very much appreciate the opportunity to makeup the test at your convenience. Thank you very much and I look forward to talking with you.Best,[you]

Dyslexic features and asperger's syndrome?

The optometrist is just that an optometrist, he is NOT pediatrician who is trained in childhood disorders both physical and cognitive.

Very few optometrists are specifically trained in dyslexia, if they are the need to be accredited as such. They will know there are many aspects of dyslexia, that can affect a persons ability to read, write, spell etc, called dyscalculia (maths), dysgraphia (writing) and dyslexia (reading).

Its a misnomer that just because someone can read or write they are not dyslexic, many dyslexics will have a strength, in one area, and most will have found some strategies to cope.

Comorbidity of chronic conditions;
Asperger's syndrome, Autism, ADHD/ADD can most certainly be a coexist with dyslexia and other learning disabilities.

My daughter and I are both dyslexic, we were diagnosed at the same time. I initially took her to an optometrist to rule out visual problems, before taking her on to her pediatrician, the optometrist told me my daughter was not dyslexic. I nearly did not follow up with the pediatrician because of the optometrist report.

However the school had also raised concerns, and organized for my daughter to be tested by an Education Psychologist (E.P), she was diagnosed as having ADHD, ODD and Dyslexia, (she is borderline Asperger's). Which was confirmed by her pediatrician. We also saw a Irlens dyslexia clinician, who also confirmed her being dyslexic.

We used behavioural management and diet to help with the ADHD & ODD, with the dyslexia my daughter found the use of tinted lenses from Irlens helped with reading and writing etc.

Please follow the recommendations of your son's pediatrician, since he/she is more qualified than a optometrist.

Supporting a person with Asperger's syndrome should involve multidisciplinary team of experts, to ensure your son has the best possible outcomes. And vision therapy may help, but i would also tread very carefully.
