How To Upgrade From Win8.1 Premium To Win8.1 Pro

What is the product key for Windows 10 upgraded from Windows 8.1?

This depends on whether you are (1) upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, or (2) doing a fresh installation of Windows 10 but have the Windows 8.1 disk or you have Windows 8.1 on a recovery partition. If you are doing (1), the license on Windows 8.1 serves to let the Windows 10 installation know that you had/have a legitimate prior version of Windows, and so wouldn’t require you to pay for activation prior to July 29th 2016. After that date, possessing the Windows 8.1 license means that the Windows 10 installation now knows that you had/have a legitimate prior version of Windows, full stop. You’d now have to pay for activation, unless you use the following version for upgrading (and yes, it’s legal/legit); Windows 10 upgrade for assistive technology users. Windows 10 doesn’t actually use a licensing system; instead, Microsoft implemented a different means of activation, as described by Armand Welsh and Avinash Kumar. If you are doing (2), Windows 10 has to be able to detect the Windows 8.1 recovery partition or CD(s), and other than that, you should have no serious issues, for a Windows install, that is. I have installed Windows 10 WITHOUT a prior version, but that was before the July 29th deadline. I don’t know if that will work now, post-deadline. But the assistive tech version should be installable even without a prior version of Windows. But if you don’t want to pay for activation, I’d suggest you forget about upgrading, and download and install something like Download - Linux Mint (and choose the Cinnamon option, as it’s very Windows-like, or something menu-based, like Download Ubuntu MATE (choose the LTS version, not the Beta, unless you feel like being REALLY adventurous). My rule about Windows is, unless you have applications that only run on Windows and won’t work on WINE (a non-emulation emulator of Windows for Linux), and if you are even a bit technically adept, go Linux. Just my $.02 worth.Sorry I took so long to respond. Thanks for the A2AJuly 6 2017 Update: Microsoftkeysales was kind enough to add this info, which really does simplify things: “Download Windows 10 Product Key from: http://www.Msofficialstore.com/ The key is 100% genuine.”

Can I upgrade Windows 8.1 to Windows 10?

Hello,

Yes, you can upgrade to windows 10 from 8.1 during the first year of the release of windows 10. (July 2015 to July 2016) During the first year of Windows 10 all Windows 7 and 8.1 users can upgrade for free. You will just need to reserve your copy after doing all updates for the computer and after that it will let you know when you can download the update to upgrade to Windows 10. Also remember that during the first 30 days of upgrade you can always restore it to your previous version of Windows if you want. However, after the first 30 days you will have to do a total reinstall of Windows 8.1 in order to go back.

As for Xbox 360 and Xbox One games can be streamed to your Windows 10 computer. However, you cannot play the games on the computer's hardware. For this I would recommend doing it over a hard line connection versus a wireless connection because of the level of data being streamed might cause a lag or delay. You can try it over wireless first to see how well it will perform. You can read more on Xbox 360 and Windows 10 here.

Can I upgrade Win8 Preview to Win8 Pro?

Yes you can, that's what I did. Not only can you do this but it'll mean that you can use both Windows 7 and Windows 8 if you wish as opposed to losing Windows 7 when you upgrade. If your copy of Windows 7 is one that you bought (retail version, not OEM) then this also means that you can sell it.

What I mean is that you can sell Windows 7 if you installed Windows 8 Consumer Preview from scratch as opposed to using it to upgrade Windows 7.

You can also do this with Windows 8 Release Preview

Case IUpgrade Using an Image fileIf you are upgrading using an Image file (ISO) , downloaded from Internet or from a bootable CD.Then,It depends on the number of third party  applications installed on your windows 8.1 PC, Processing Speed of your PC. It will take up to 2 hours maximum. Windows 8.1 upgrade = no Wi-Fi?

While researching Microsoft's Windows 8 licensing nightmare, I ran across a customer that had nothing but rave reviews regarding his software license purchase through Oggus.com. So I decided to give them a look. After looking around the website and verifying that they have a publicized e-mail address available for tech support or questions, I started seriously looking for software licenses that would be of interest to me (in this case, the Anytime upgrade of Windows 7 which is extremely difficult to find these days). Well I found the product that I was interested in for a great price. I did a little more research into the company before deciding to make the purchase; I found nothing in my research that concerned me regarding the company. And with all money going through PayPal, I knew I had recourse in the event of any problems. Well I am happy to say that I had no problems at all. The order webpage said that I would be contacted within six hours. But I was quite happy to receive an e-mail containing the software licenses (two required for Anytime upgrade) within 10 minutes! I was extremely surprised to say the least. I entered both codes with no issues at all (fully activated at the end of the process). All contact with the representative was extremely polite & very helpful. I will definitely recommend Oggus.com to all of my friends & family.

Can I upgrade from windows 8.1 to windows 10 on HP laptop?

Indeed, make sure to upgrade by installing from the scratch with the iso image containing the new upgraded windows 10 as upgrading from the previous version of windows OS will leave you lots of trash on your hard drive. But if your not sure on how to do it, there’s always a ways to get rid of the old and unusable windows archives by right-clicking on disc C which is commonly where the OS is installed by default and then going to properties select the option of freeing space from disc, select delete old windows files or archives and that’s it. Also, remember to download the latest compatible drivers regarding your HP laptop.ps: I don’t know why but in my case most windows 10 drivers are unusable for me, so I continue using those from the previous version which was windows 8.1 pro. By the way I have an HP pavilion g4–1370la.

How to downgrade from PC Windows 8.1 pro to just 8.1?

I would like highly recommend http://www.vip4sale.com
as your buying option for Microsoft product and software.
I just bought a Windows 8.1 Pro key from http://www.vip4sale.com
and wanted to share my experience with them.
at first I was a bit skeptical about their service , cause I don't knew them, are they any good and trustworthy?
those were my biggest concerns.
so I decided to contact their support service to get some info about them ,as to my surprise, Their customer support staff, responded to me with in the hour or so, answering to all of my questions, made me fell like I'm doing the right choice of being involved with them.
Therefore, I decided to try them out, and bought Windows 8.1 Pro from them using Pay-pal.
Their customer support staff, send me an email with the Windows 8.1 Pro CD Key right away , and they have also provided me with a download link from Microsoft.com to download the operating system within that 24hours period before the link goes death.

the rest was easy , everything worked like a charm, I managed to complete my installations within a few hours, and planning to buy again.

Their staffs are quick and responsive which is a good thing for an online business.

Can I upgrade to Windows 10 if I currently use Ubuntu OS on my system?

Yes, if your machines have a Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 COA (or activation key in the BIOS). The way I understand the free Windows 10 upgrade works is the upgrade registers your computer (using hardware info) on a Microsoft server. You have a year to to install Windows 10 and get your computer registered, but once you do you can reinstall Windows 10 at any time.  If your machine is a major brand, it probably has a key in the BIOS if it doesn't have a sticker.  My machines all had stickers, but I just skipped the screen that asks for a key during install and once installed it picked up my key automatically from the BIOS.I run Mint Linux on some older Dell Optiplex machines for work. In the past when I've upgraded to newer machines I donate the old ones to school kids that don't have computers at home. So I can put Windows 10 on them when I donate them I've installed Windows 10 on all of them so they're registered with the Windows 10 activation server. I installed Windows 10 on a USB HDD from the downloaded ISO version so I didn't need to touch my Linux install. I can wipe the drive with a new install of Windows 10 anytime in the future (as I understand it)FWIW - I wouldn't upgrade to Windows 10 yet. I put it on my laptop and after a week reverted to Windows 7. First, it took me about 2 days of installing to get everything working (hunting for drivers was a pain), and second it has some problems. The thing that finally made be go back was the forced updates. One of the updates broke the WiFi stack's ability to connect to a hidden network, which stopped me from being able to connect to the internet. For three days, I manually uninstalled the update in the morning, and by the next day Windows 10 would have reinstalled it. There's no way to prevent a patch from being installed or to stop updates all-together. Really bad design.
