How To View Pds Files In A Thumbnail In Explorer

Why isn't my Windows 10 showing thumbnails for PDF files?

Why isn't my Windows 10 showing thumbnails for PDF files? It is because, in your Folder Options dialog box, you have the options “Always show icons, never thumbnails” and “Display file icon on thumbnails” checked.Uncheck them, click OK, and thereafter thumbnails should be shown.

Anyone know of a way to view PDF thumbnails in Vista 64?

Hi Baby.,
do you see thumbnails of PDF files in windows explorer?

if yes try this-

In Windows Explorer
>Organize - Folder & Search options - View
> uncheck [ ] Always show icons, never thumbnails
> ok
then i hope it will be solved.

If not Do this-

You can try repairing adobe reader installation by going to the control
panel, programs and features and selecting adobe reader,
then on the toolbar above you will see "change"

try to repair it.

If this fails try uninstalling and installing....

if these 2 things don't help you have a problem...
do this-
make sure that the adobe reader is the DEFAULT program for reading PDF files

also try this>>>
in windows explorer right click on a pdf file, then go to OPEN WITH, and
make another program the default for PDF, for example NOTEPAD
then do that again, but this time select ADOBE READER as the default..

that might fix it..

tell me if it does..

if it's the same problem I had though... I couldn't find a solution and no
one else seems to know on the whole wide world.. not even ADOBE!

In my frustration I formatted vista just because of this stupid thing!

but lets hope this is not the same problem

Ok thanks anything more please feel free to comeback to me ok...

Have a nice time ..
Cheers!!!

How can I restore deleted files in Android without computer?

I've been through such situation earlier, about 2-3 years ago.Wasn't familiar with Quora those days and Google has been very close to me for over a decade now and so asked the same there and the keywords were as simple as your question on is. :PAnyways... Try puuting in some effort to type "DISK DIGGER" in PlayStore and install it.It helps finding the deleted files digging internal/external memory.Though it helped me recover tons of pics & videos on my Android device, am not sure if it would help recovering other files/docs.All the best.

Why doesn't WhatsApp allow us to send PDF/DOC files?

Disclaimer: The answer might not be the exact reason behind WhatsApp not supporting document files while the others do. It's based on my understanding of WhatsApp's message sending mechanisms. Why doesn't WhatsApp allow us to send PDF and other document files?   The answer to this question might be the storage concern and also the effectiveness of the delivery mechanism.I'll first explain the WhatsApp's delivering mechanism. When you send an image or video, it gets stored on the server. A BASE64 thumbnail preview of the image/video is sent as a message to the recipient and once the message is downloaded to the device, the image/video is still available in the server for sometime before it gets removed. To your question:  Imagine of you are sending a document file either PDF or as .doc. First it has to be read ( like opening the file.) in order  to generate a thumbnail preview.  Here comes the problem, the encoding mechanism used by the device that created the document may differ from the WhatsApp server and also by the recipient device. So its necessary to follow a universal standard. It's not likely to be a permenant solution since Chinese, Japanese and arabic languages might use different encoding mechanisms depending upon the users need.Solution:     You can use some work arounds like changing the file format to .jpg to send files or you can use some third part applications like  WhatsTools - https://play.google.com/store/ap... which is my favorite application since it has a good intuitive user interface and gets the job done with out any hassles.

Where are CamScanner images and PDFs saved on Android mobile?

It depends on the location where you have installed your Camscanner App.Generally apps like these ,create a folder with the same name as that of the app's name and all related files are present inside that folder. So first, check where your app has been installed (Internal/External Storage) . To check it, go to settings -> applications-> camscanner and check where it has been installed.Go to the corresponding storage where it has been installed in you file managerThere you will see a folder named “Camscanner” will be created where all the files and pdfs related to it will be stored.I hope this will help you.

In Windows 7, the first page of a pdf file appeared in folders. Now, in Windows 10, only a PDF Icon appears? How do I change that?

Hmm... Very interesting, I had not noticed that!  Some of my PDF's show me the first page, and some only a program Icon.  And it doesn't matter what program I make default for PDF.  Foxit, Sumatra, Edge and Opera Developer, all 4 behave the same.Someone else will have to try Adobe, their products are not allowed on my machines. Not sure if this is an "answer" or not...  But it's a little more data.  ;)Edit:  Found a working fix.  Was not easy, there is a LOT of anguish and confusion on this subject out there in the interwebz.  :/  Apparently this dates back to the switch from 32 to 64 bit versions of Windows Explorer, and there are various "fixes" out there dating back to Vista/XP. But none of them worked for me till some thread somewhere suggested Nitro PDF reader.  Adobe Acrobat alternative: The Best PDF Software Replacement | Nitro It's freeware, just gotta give 'em an email address.  Be certain to install the 64 bit version!!I tried switching back to my previous fave, Sumatra. No soap. The folders that Nitro had already provided thumbnails for still had them. But it does not provide new thumbnails unless it is set as the default PDF reader.Guess I have a new fave.  ;)  And actually, I'm impressed so far.  Lots of nice functionality here.

How would I know if a PDF document is password protected?

If a PDF is encrypted by open password, you need to enter the password to open the file. You can’t view anything before entering the correct open password. If a PDF was encrypted by permission password, which means you can open and view the PDF, but you can’t do some restriction operation, such as print or copy. You can open the PDF file with Adobe Reader, normally you can see (SECURED) after the file name on top.Or you can click ‘File’ - > ‘Properties’, you can see the security summary. If you are using Mac, open a PDF with ‘Preview’, click ‘Show inspector’, you can see the permission summary.

Where does WhatsApp web store images?

Ok so people here who are saying whatsapp never stores any image, are lying to you. Whatsapp web and whatsapp desktop app, both store the images temporary in your PC. Yes it is necessary to keep your phone connected in order to use whatspp on your PC. But if you believe it doesn’t store images in PC then try this experiment. First open a received or sent image on whatsapp in whatsapp web or desktop app. Once you have opened it, disconnect your phone’s internet, which means whatsapp web is not connected to your phone anymore. Now try to open the image again and you will be able to open it which clearly means that it is stored somewhere in your PC, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to open the image after disconnecting the phone from whatsapp web. Now the question is where is it stored? If you are talking about the whatsapp web, then it is stored in the browser’s cache you are using. If you are talking about the whatsapp desktop app then it is stored in the following locationC:\Users\[User_Name]\AppData\Roaming\WhatsApp\Cache
