How To Zoom Screen On Samsung Gold Laptop

Why won't Apple make a touch screen laptop and iMac while keeping the trackpad, mouse, and keyboard? This would allow work to be more enjoyable, less boring, faster, and less stressful due to the variation of inputs.

I asked this same question while working at Apple.I had a desktop (flatscreen) iMac and a MacBook Pro as two of my primary work computers.  After being "trained" to touch things by the iPhone and other touch hardware I was working on, I was always leaving fingerprints on the iMac; I didn't end up doing the same on the MacBook.I attribute the cleanliness of my MacBook screen to the fact that the touchpad is right there under your palm, and it's easier to not lose "home row" on the keyboard for the purposes of touch-typing by using the touchpad instead of the screen. This was the same reason given by the UX and the software designers.Several of us retrofit third party touch screen interfaces onto a number of iMacs.  The experience wasn't very satisfying, unless you set the software driver to do a combined "move here + click".  Even then, you ended up with finger grease all over the thing, which significantly detracted from its utility for GUI and design work, and it was really annoying when pointing things out in terminal windows, and so on.  Overall, it was not that useful, and only two of the 5 of us who had hacked up their iMacs left the touch screen enabled.Again, this was the same reason given by the UX people. The only surprising thing was the lack of a Bluetooth keyboard with a touchpad that was always in the same location relative to the spacebar, to give a laptop-like experience.  I saw several people attempting to use third party versions of these things, with little luck.  The problem came down to the ability to use the touchpad area without relocating your fingers away from their default locations for touch typing.  Something which is easy with a keyboard the size of a small laptop keyboard, but much more difficult with a full size keyboard, even if you omit the numeric keypad in the design. And yet again, the same reason for not supporting it that was given by the UX people.Don't think that these things have not been tried out internally, or using UX labs and having people actually use prototype equipment that has the features; they almost certainly have for everything you could think might be a good idea to add to an iMac or MacBook.Expect that they will be revisited in the future as well, and if something useful is found, that it will make its way into a shipping product; however, so far, it's not been useful or effective to do what you're asking them to do.

On my Windows laptop, everything just expanded (the whole screen is zoomed in). How do I get back to normal?

Will reading novels and books on a smartphone damage my eyes?

Yes it can potentially do so. The reasons might be different lik:1. Small Screen size - Although, one can definitely zoom in, but then it’s not practical to move the page left-right, up-down after every few words.2. Screen brightness - It’s bit difficult to read in dim light and more the brightness, more the strain. But the, the fact is that world would never ever go back. Old is gold and trends come back, but again they come back with modified versions. Thus, we can always keep some safety precautions to avoid the damage:Take regular breaks - do not forget to blink your eyes often.Adjust the brightness - When reading at night with the lights off, read the content in the night modeAdjust the font size - personally, my phone is at highest possible font size.Maintain safe distance from the deviceGo for Kindle - Kindles are specifically designed to replace physical books. They are obviously much safer and provide better options. Thus, the summary is Yes, reading novels and books on a smartphone can damage our eyes if we do not take good care of them. This is then true even when we do not use smartphones.PS: I so love physical books and wish I had money and space to buy all I read and want to read somewhere. Make your own choice..:)
