How Well Would This Laptop Run The Sims 3

Will this laptop run the sims 3 and sims 4?

I have been looking for a laptop in my budget for a long time and I have finnaly found one! However i am not sure if it will run TS4 and/or TS3 well. The laptop is Aspire V3-572PG-546C. Here are the specs:

Windows 8.1
Intel Core i5-5200U Dual-core 2.20 GHz
15.6" HD (1366 x 768) 16:9
NVIDIA GeForce 840M with 2 GB Dedicated Memory
8 GB, DDR3L SDRAM
1 TB HDD

Will these laptops run the sims 3?

I'm looking to buy a new laptop. I enjoy playing the sims 3 and have a few expansion packs - however the expansions aren't too important and I can live without.
I just want to know if the laptop I'm gonna buy will at least run the base game on medium settings, without too much lag. My current laptop is major laggy.

I went into pc world and was told I would need an i5 processor - as long as the laptop had this it would run the game fine but she then went to say there cheapest was around £600. So i'm weary she was just trying to make an expensive sale.

The laptops I have found that I think may be okay are the Advent Torino x700 and a Lenovo G500.

I don't know as much about computing and specs as I'd like to so I just wanna check.

If these aren't so good can anyone make a recommendation? I'm looking to spend around £400-500.
Thanks.

Will The Sims 3 run on this (Acer) laptop?

I'm getting a new laptop and I really want to be able to play Sims 3 (+ the expansions) on it.
After doing some searching, I found this Acer Aspire AS4745G laptop. Do you think it will run Sims 3?

Some requirements for Sims 3:
2.0 GHz processor (XP) or 2.4 GHz processor (Vista) or equivalent
1 GB (XP) or 1.5GB RAM (Vista)
6.1GB of hard drive with 1GB additional space
128 MB video card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0

Some facts about the Acer Aspire AS4745G:
RAM: 6GB DDR3 1066MHz
Processor: Intel Core i5-450M Processor 2.4GHz
Hard drive: 640GB S-ATA (5400rpm)
Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD5650 1GB DDR3

If this won't work, I'd appreciate getting a suggestion on some other laptop within the same price range. Thanks in advance!

(The Acer comes with Windows 7, but I don't think it should be a problem. On the back of the expansion packs, it says that Windows 7 is supported. If it works with the EP's, it should work with the original game, I think.)

Is it possible to play the Sims on a laptop?

It’s possible to play any game on a laptop. Only question is whether the particular laptop you own will be able to do it.It’s pretty hard to say without knowing which model that would be. However, I can say my wife played Sims 3 on her 2012 MacBook Air 11″, which was a pretty darn weak machine. If yours is better than that, you can definitely do the same.

I have an HP Pavilion touch smart laptop. Can I run The Sims 3/4 smoothly or will I need to upgrade something?

Sims 4PC MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRED: Internet connection required for product activation.OS: Windows XP (SP3), Windows Vista (SP2), Windows 7 (SP1), Windows 8, or Windows 8.1PROCESSOR: 1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, AMD Athlon 64 Dual-Core 4000+ or equivalent (For computers using built-in graphics chipsets, the game requires 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.0 GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-62 or equivalent)MEMORY: At least 2 GB RAMHARD DRIVE: At least 9 GB of free space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content and saved gamesDVD-ROM: DVD ROM drive required for installation onlyVIDEO CARD: 128 MB of Video RAM and support for Pixel Shader 3.0. Which laptop could I buy just for playing The Sims 3?

My wife plays it all the time on a Asus UX430 with a MX150 discrete graphics. MX150 is one of the cheaper GPUs you can get in a laptop and is frequently found in ultrabooks. It runs Sims 3 great, can even run some newer games.Sims 3 will actually run on integrated graphics, but you’d have to turn down the detail a bit for a smooth experience.

What’s a good laptop that will run Sims 3 and will work for college stuff? My budget is up to $650.

This Acer Aspire should get the job done for you. Basically what I looked for was a laptop that was between 13–15 inches (not to small but fits in a backpack), had 8 GB of RAM and an SSD (makes regular use feel quick and smooth), and had a somewhat competent CPU and GPU for Sims 3 (the i5 and integrated graphics should get the job done with some settings tweaks).Amazon says they only have 2 left, so don't take too long to make a decision.Have fun in college!https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspi...

Dell inspiron 1501 laptop...good for sims 3?

Sorry, you're going to have to provide some more information. There are a few version of the Dell Inspiron 1501, so I have no clue what your specs are.

To find out your specs, open the Start Menu and type in dxdiag. A screen will pop up called DirectX Diagnostic Tool. Under the System tab, look at your Memory and Processor. You'll need 1500MB or more of memory and 2.4GHz or higher processor speed.

Under the Display tab on the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, you'll see your graphics card. You'll see the name of your Graphics Card and the Total Memory it has. Graphics cards can be a bit difficult to understand if you're not familiar with them. Look at the graphic card requirements for the Sims 3 or post it here and I'll tell you. You'll probably need 128MB of graphic card memory in order to play, which you should have.

http://www.thesims3.com/game/systemreq
Requirements are for Windows Vista. I don't know what version of Windows your laptop has. The site doesn't list recommendations for W7, but W7 requirements should be about the same as Windows Vista, so I'll assume.

Find your graphics card in the site below to see if it's capable of playing Sims:

Green means it can play it, red means it will lag, and yellow means undetermined. You'll need to find out what your graphics card is from how I explained above in order to find this tool useful.
