How do you see all apps that are running in windows 8?

To see all running apps, begin in the start page or in any app and move the cursor to the upper left of the screen. Then move the cursor down the left edge of the screen. All open apps (except the one you are in) will appear as thumbnails down the left margin. It's a bit touchy, so you may have to move the cursor out from the edge a fraction when moving it down. Just experiment. This doesn't work in the desktop to show all apps. It only works from apps or the app start page.

To see your downloaded programs, begin on the start page, move the cursor to the bottom of the page. A scroll bar will appear. Scroll to the right. You will see iTunes icon there.

Windows 8 apps wont open?

I have windows 8 and I am trying to access all my apps. It takes me to the app emblem in full screen then keeps loading for over 4 hours. I have Clean Booted it but the problem persisted. All this time no other applications are running except that app (so it is the only one taking up CPU). The funny thing is that they are all the ones that came pre-loaded on my computer. My CNN app works as well as Microsoft office. I cant update my apps because the store does the exact same thing. How do I fix it?

Windows 8 App. Issues?

I am quite new to the Windows 8 software. I had the Skype app, and it was running smoothly without issues. Today when I booted up my PC, the app was missing. I went to the store to see if it somehow was uninstalled, but it stated that I still had it. I can't find the app anywhere. Where would it be, or how do I retrieve it?

Where is word starter on windows 8?

Did you computer advertise that it came with Office Starter? If not then it won't have it. You can always buy Office but if you need free office productivity software then you should try LibreOffice.

It's free and compatible with MS Office formats. Give a try and see what you think.

Yes, Windows has the Windows Store that has plenty of apps. Windows 8.1 does not have any limitations on just downloading an installer and setting up any app that is available online. What you probably meant was installing Android apps. Android and Windows ad are different operating systems. Same as Android can’t install Windows, DOS, SNES or Amiga apps without an emulator, Windows can’t install apps from a different operating system without some sort of emulator or runtime support. As some sort of middle ground, Windows 10 (but not 8.1) has the WSL which allows running native Linux binaries. So I can imagine someone porting Android x86_64 to WSL by figuring out support for things like display, audio and other devices - technically it would not be an emulator (as Windows Kernel supports running Linux binaries natively, it is not an emulation layer), but you could claim it would be very much like an emulator anyway.
