How Would You Describe My Style

How would you describe your style?

"You can have anything you want in life if you dress for it." — Edith Head.I've always liked this quote. As for my style, I personally feel it's “Whatever I'm feeling” for the day. Be it lazy, tired or creative. Although on most days it's just a graphic tee with a pair of jeans.Of course, trying to look effortless is my aim.I don't shop for very expensive pieces if a $10 dress is pretty and functional too. Here are some pictures,Wore this on a date. This was a girl's night out.Contemplating if this $20 dress is a good buy. (Yes I bought it and wore it)Both from the same day. Was out with a friend for lunch.Exploring Thailand:)

As a writer, how would you describe your style?

I’m a pantser…meaning I don’t outline, I just start writing. I have a general idea of where the story is going to go, but I have no idea when I start how it’s going to get there or end. I create the characters and then get out of their way and let them tell the story. Sometimes they surprise even me.Oddly enough, I do my cover first and then just start writing. I write in past tense and in third person and let the characters feed the senses of see, hear, feel, taste and smell. If I don’t feel it then I figure the reader won’t either. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

TEENS: Describe your style...?

Name: Bethany
Age: 14
Gender: girl
Describe your style (description): usually short shorts that aren't super skanky looking, tees from Hollister, Aero, AE, Abercrombie&Fitch, Anthropologie, scoop neck tops in bright colors, babydolls, skinny jeans/jeggings, flip flops, polos.
Describe your style (3 words): girly, semi-preppy, cute
Do you follow trends or start your own? Sort of, I mean, everyone shops at the same stores but I guess I helped start a few trends.
Fashion Icon: Uhmm, no one? lol
Opinions on fashion, clothes, etc...: I like pretty clothes. I hate the whole neon trend and the skanky dressed girls. Especially the ones that really don't look good in super tight slutty camis.

How would you describe your style.?

My style is eclectic.
I wear whatever I think looks good.

I also somewhat keep up with trends, but I normally wear things before they become a trend.

I also shop all over.
I shop at Nordstrom, Hot Topic, PacSun, American Eagle, thrift stores, the Fashion District in LA, and in all the cool boutiques over here. :DDDDD

How would you describe your art style in one word?

PosterizedAt least that’s how I paint in oils (note 1). I break it down to shapes and colours. I have done it this way since my teen years. Back then (note 2) I would put a sheet of clear film over the picture I wanted to paint (mostly these were portraits) and I would trace around each area that I perceived to be the same colour. Then I’d trace those areas onto the canvas, and mix up the colours and paint them in. After all the areas were painted, I’d blend. Blend the face areas to soften it, blend the hair, blend the background, etc. The final piece still looks somewhat posterized, but not entirely.Note 1: I also paint in acrylics and underglazes on ceramic. My style here really depends on the piece.Note 2: Now I use a computer to posterize, although it is not nearly as simple as what photoshop would have you believe. I don’t actually use the posterize filter. I like decide what colours I want to use, and to what detail level I go. In fact, even using a computer, it takes me just as long as my old method, to get a result that I am happy with. I like my art the way I want it to look, not the way photoshop would have it look.
