How Would You Develop Concept Of Time Length And Weight Among Children Of The Age Group Of 6-12

What is the average weight for a 12 year old?

At 5 feet 100 lbs, for every inch after that females get 5 lbs, males get 8 lbs.Look n the mirror naked, any fat areas, old saying “can u pinch an inch”? At 14 u r still growing, eat healthy, get out & walk a mile or 2 or more every day, cycle, hike, run, swim, just do something active & fun for U. Greatly limit anything with flour or sugar n it, literally try to completely avoid these. B careful with starch like potatoes, rice, pasta; one small serving or 2 no more than once a month. Choose fruits for ur carbs, eat lots & lots of veggies especially green ones, (like 8 cups a day of low carb veggies, not corn, carrots which r okay n small portions once n awhile). I hope this helps u. I wish I'd known at 14 what I know today. It's relatively easy & fun to get & stay healthy by eating right; but, the hard part is the easy access to fast good yumminess garbage! I wish u the best. Ur at a perfect age to set ur course to b & stay healthy! It's much easier to stay healthy than it is to get unhealthy, say with getting overweight & then try to get at a healthy wt & attempt to stay that way. Set ur course with wisdom

My 5 month old baby weight's 20lb., should I worry?

what did she weight at birth?? What do the doctors say??
My daughter is almost a year and it probably now close to 20 pounds, she was only 5 pounds at birth though...

My baby is 15 months old and weighs 16 lbs? Please read. ?

My child gained slowly around 6-12 mo He did gain, just slow. His height was always high and weight was always in 10th%. Finally at 11 mo they did some blood tests. One was for celiac. He ended up being negative. And after 12 months he finally gained weight. He is now 17 mo and has gained a good amount of weight because he finally likes milk.

My son had no other signs of a problem- no food allergies, no exzema, no consipation, no buddah belly, etc. Does your daughter? Has her weight always been low, like in the 5th%-10th%? Look up celiac symptoms in kids, you will find a lot of info. Most babies with it do have extreme systems- verbally, as well. With any disease, the body protects the brain (head circumfrance) and height over weight.

The gastrointerologist will ask you questions- bring a food log if possible. Ask for the celiac panel blood test. If there are pos. markers (google this- there are 4 parts to the blood test but only 2 of them are highly reliable in diagnosis) they will probably scope your daughter to look at the intestines- this can diagnose celiac over the blood test. Ask about the reliability in young children though, because with celiac it is a life long life style change. Eating out is very hard, as foods can not even be prepared near foods w/ gluten. It is important to get a 2nd opinon, too, you want to get the right diagnosis. Celiac can be hard, but if she does have it once you change her diet you will see imediate results! She will gain right away and be happier/healthier.

I hope your daughter does not have celiac. But if she does join an online support group, buy a good cookbook and if possible make your whole house gluten free.

I would probably also see another pediatrician, too. Maybe they would have other suggestions? Do you give your daughter lots of healthy fats- avocado, olive oil, etc? I'm sure you do, but this is just another thought. I do have many friends with kids who are low in the weight area and are 100% perfect.

** Do not change her diet until the gastro says to.... changing the diet before tests, if she did have celiac, could cause it to not be diagnosed.

Good luck :)

Is 5'3 tall or average for a 12 year old (turning 13 in 2 months)?

It’s not very tall, at all. In North America and Europe, both males and females at age 10, average at around 5′0″ to 5′2″. By age 12, the typical male and female is 5′2″ to 5′3″. Girls stop growing at around age 15 and start to grow at a much slower rate than boys, as boys start growing quicker around this time, and these girls will average around 5′4″-5′6″ by 15. Males stop growing at around age 18 and will accelerate in growth between 14 and 16 and will average around 5′9″-5′11″ by the time they reach 18.So no, 5′3″ at age 12, regardless of gender, is pretty average, sadly. (“Average” isn’t good.) But your parents and family will predict how tall you’ll end up or how much more growing you have to do.

How much does or did your 5 month old baby weigh?

Oh boy... your friend would have a fit if she seen my little guy... he is 6 months 28 inches and 23lbs, he is a chuncker!!! Your son is the average size for a 5 month old. Your Doc would tell you if there was a problem with his size. and Manufacturers are all different. with most my son is size 12-18 months but he has a few outfits that are 3 months!?! My son at 6 months has over trippled his birth weight, he had a dr's apt today and they said that he was tottaly healthy and thriving!!! I wouldn't worry about what you friend says. Some experts do believe babies should only weigh 20 lbs at a year, not taking into consideration the length of the child.
have you EVER seen a 20lbs 1 year old? I think they would either be really really skinny or very short!

Is 124 pounds a healthy weight for a 12-year-old FEMALE?

Are you people kidding me!?! Ok, the thing is, this sounds a lot like me at this age; actually almost EXACTLY like me! :O When I was 12 and in grade 6, i was 5"2 as well, and weighed 125 pounds. I was NEVER fat! In fact, people always complimented me on my slim figure. Now, with that said though, it depends. Everyone is built differently; personally, I have very small bones and my torso counts for most of my height, so weight never really showed on me. (I should add that most of my weight was in my legs too) 5 years later, I am still 125 pounds and only grew one inch, but I still have a slim figure except now the weight in my legs has distributed more evenly throughout my body. People still compliment me on my figure to this day! In my opinion, to ask how to lose weight at the age of 12 when that's all you weigh is beyond crazy. All I'm saying is just wait a few years. People's bodies change a lot, especially when going through adolescence, and like many people, such as me, they're bodies will eventually even out through time. 125 is not fat for that height or age.

What's a healthy weight for a 5'2 12 year old girl?

If you are concerned then go to the child’s doctor and ask the doctor about the child’s weight.so long as the girl is active and eating as healthy as you can get her to eat and she isn’t the actual shape of a beach ball… I wouldn’t worry about her weight so much. Now if she comes to you and says something about her weight then talk to a nutritionist with your daughter present, and have her ask her questions, and you take note as well.healthy living is more about eating: what you eat and when you eat, than it is about exercise, though exercise is important as well.just know that if you are eating like 5K in calories and only exercising off a few hundred calories, exercising isn’t going to do anything to help you lose weight. So eating as healthy as you can is most beneficial.
