Howhard Is The Cpc Test

A question on the AAPC-CPC EXAM?

I took the cpc exam last october and im scheduled to take it again in april because i failed the pathology and laboratory, e/m, and medicine parts (section two) i passed the other sections but i want to know what else i could study to pass that section? i really need to pass the test! if anyone can give me advice i would really appreciate it! thanks!

How hard are exams??????

I would suggest studying a little now (even though its sucks). Try not to stress out. Typically you score within 10 points of your average in the class when you take these exams. Basically, this means that your score might inch upwards or downwards a little, but unless it's for a large portion of your grade, don't stress too much. Half the battle is not panicking on the test.
Good luck!

What does CPM or CPC mean when it comes to testing blood?

The CBC stands for Complete Blood Cell Count
This counts the number of cells you have in your blood
sample or gives a percentage of the whole sample.
Red blood cells are what transport oxygen throughout our
bodies. White blood cells are the immune system of the body,
Platelet are the first to be at a wound site that signals the
immune system and also helps to heal the opening the
wound had made.

CMP stands for Complete metabolic panel.
This will includes tests for the liver (hepatitic),
heart (cardiac) and kidney (functions) and more.

For the liver: some of the tests are the ALT, AST,
GGT, ALP, Bilirubin, INR, Albumin, Pt, PTT

For the kidneys: come of the tests are the
Creatinine, Phosphorus, Bun (Blood urea nitrogen),
and the electrolytes.

For the heart: the tests are: Sodium, Potassium,
Magnesium, Calcium, etc.

To look any of your lab tests up, here is a site that
will enable you to do that and will explain much
more about them:
http://www.labtestsonline.org

For the liver tests, you can place each one on this site
to search and learn more about them
or in your search engine or you could
use combined terms like: liver function tests, liver
enzymes....for the liver results; Renal tests for
the kidneys.

Best wishes

Is CPT very much hard?

Zarif Bhure , Absolutely not! One just needs to prepare for the exam sincerely and can fetch 100+ easily and that too with self study only.Though, students without maths background find maths difficult , but scoring 15 (i.e the minimum marks for maths) is not that hard even.Cpt is an exam in which one needs to just get 100+ (while passing through all the sectional cut offs as well) and believe me , it’s quite easy if your basics are clear and you have prepared thoroughly for the exam. Thanks for A2A!

AIHMA CCA test? I need info please.....?

Hey Little1,

There is a practice test that you can purchase online and it costs $57. I purchased it a few weeks back to see if it lived up to the promises made on the website and I was surprised in how complete and comprehensive it was before I had my cousin use it to prepare for his upcoming CCA exam.

The practice test was originally for the CPC exam but it can also be used to prepare for all the AHIMA exams.

The Medical Coding CPC Practice Exam is based on the Certified Professional Codes- (CPC) Exam offered by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). This exam consists of 150 questions separated into three sections:

Section 1 contains questions on Surgery and Modifiers: 10000 series (10), 20000 series, (13), 30000 series (8), 40000 series (9), 50000 series (12), 60000 series (10)

Section 2 contains questions from each code range: Evaluation & Management (9), Anesthesia (10), Radiology (7), Laboratory and Pathology (10), Medicine (10)

Section 3 contains questions on Medical Concepts: Medical Terminology (10), Anatomy (4), ICD-9-CM (10), HCPCS (6), Coding Guidelines (9), Billing H (3)

THE ANSWER KEY IS INCLUDED Along With 16 Additional Bonus Tips To Passing The Exam!

The time allotted for this exam is 5 hours. A passing score is 70%. ICD-9-CM, CPT-4 and HCPCS Level II codes are included on the exam.

V codes are used.

Modifiers are included.

E codes, morphology codes, HCPCS Level III, or ICD-9-CM procedure codes are not used on this exam.

When I felt like I was ready to take the exam back in the day I paid a school $400 to take a prep course and exam. Today people can save so much money by taking this practice exam and it's a great feeling knowing if you are truly ready to take the actual exam or not.

Hey even if you aren't you will know exactly what you need to brush up on before spending the $300+ fee to sit for the National Certification Exam.

How many people pass the AAPC CPC test the first time they take it?

If you are taking the AAPC CPC exam, then you will at some point ask yourself this question; do people pass their medical coding certification exam on their first try? And how do they do it? Although official figures are hard to come by, rough estimates suggests that only 40% to 50% of exam-takers pass on their first attempt.

The medical coding certification exam is no pushover

Make no mistake, the CPC or Certified Professional Coder certification exam is a grueling marathon of an exam that takes nearly 6 hours long. Medical coding careers and its industry are growing fast because of the federal push for the implementation of electronic health records such as ICD-10. This translates to better salaries and career options, but also mean it is getting more competitive as more people like yourself try to get certified.

Is it easy to clear wipro training test?

Yes, if you love coding then it will be very easy. There Will be three rounds for every assignment, first one is quiz for 20 points which is bit difficult but if you follow the Wipro materials correctly then it will be easy,Second one contains two programs, I felt those are very very easy, those questions are like our college lab questions.Third one is bit tough but if you follow the basic standards then it will be very easy, all you need is to do exception handling correctly, that's it.You can learn and enjoy a lot during training at Wipro, do your best to make top, because package depends on your performance.

What is the layout of the CPC exam?

I will be taking the CPC coding exam in a few months and was wondering how the test is laid out. I know there are 150 questions. Is it grouped by body systems or category (i.e terminology, E/M, surgery etc). Are there really long questions like full reports and scenarios?

How long should it take (reasonably) to study to take the CPC exam?

Part of my job involves medical coding while my sister is CPC certified with 3 years in the industry. A reasonable ballpark figure would be 4-6 weeks to thoroughly prepare for the exam though, of course, with prior experience you can work through the study materials much more quickly. My sister passed the CPC exam in her first attempt.

As you know, the subjects tested to become CPC-certified include radiology, pathology, anatomy, ICD-9-CM coding concepts, medicine, medical terminology and more. The important part is to study the guidelines and understand them very well, specially in the anesthesia and E/M sections.
