Research paper topic ideas?

The history of the Byzantine empire(aka eastern roman empire)? I would pick something your personally interested in most of anything will have plenty of information as long as you do the proper research. Trust me don't pick something you don't like just because there seems to be more information on the subject it makes the whole thing more of a pain to do.

Research paper ideas for Andrew Jackson?

Andrew Jackson (March 15, 1767 June 8, 1845) was the seventh President of the United States (1829–1837). Based in frontier Tennessee, Jackson was a politician and army general who defeated the British at the Battle of New Orleans (1815) and the Creek Indians at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend (1814). A polarizing figure who dominated the Second Party System in the 1820s and 1830s, he destroyed the national bank and relocated most Indian tribes to the west. His enthusiastic followers created the modern Democratic Party, and the 1830-1850 period later became known as the era of Jacksonian democracy.

Jackson was nicknamed "Old Hickory" because of his toughness and aggressive personality that produced numerous duels, some fatal. He was a rich slave owner who appealed to the masses of Americans and fought against what he denounced as a closed undemocratic aristocracy. He expanded the spoils system during his presidency to strengthen his political base, regardless of the cost of inefficiency and bias.

As president, he supported a small and limited federal government but strengthened the power of the presidency, which he saw as spokesman for the entire population–as opposed to Congressmen from a specific small district. He was supportive of state's rights, but, during the Nullification Crisis, declared that states do not have the right to nullify federal laws. Strongly against the national bank, he vetoed the renewal of its charter and ensured its collapse. Whigs and moralists denounced his aggressive enforcement of the Indian Removal Act, which resulted in the forced relocation of Native American tribes to Indian Territory (now Oklahoma).

His legacy is now seen as mixed by historians. He is praised as a protector of popular democracy and individual liberty for American citizens, but criticized for his support for slavery and Indian removal.

How does a high school student publish a humanities research paper?

Hi,As someone who is both passionate about Humanities and is a current high school student, I think it's unfair that research by high school students, especially in the Humanities (versus, say, the Sciences, in which internships abound) is often dismissed. So, I started an international journal of high school research, Questioz (www.questioz.com) that provides my peers with a chance to showcase their academic work, spanning any and all disciplines, on a global platform. Thus far, Questioz has several articles in the Humanities, written by high school researchers around the world. Some of them were even contributed by the brilliant people I met at Stanford last summer! You are welcome to submit your paper for consideration to be published through the Google Form on www.questioz.com/submit. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me an email at editor.questioz@gmail.com, or contact me through the Questioz Facebook Page (facebook.com/questioz).Hope to read your work soon!

Country Music Research Paper Ideas?

For my Intro to Country Music class, we will be writing a 10 page research paper on a topic of our choice, but we need to be defending an argumentable thesis.
It can be anything from discussing the impact of a specific artist in the history of country music, to themes such as patriotism in country music. However, whatever thesis i chose, it must have two sides that can be argued rather than stating facts that cannot be argued either way.
We started with the beginning of country music in the 1920s, and we're entering the 60's around Nashville Sound and California Country - but I can also use more modern aspects of country music as well. Another big theme in the class is traditionalism vs commercialism, just to throw out another idea.
If anyone has any recommendations for any topics or a possible thesis that would be relatively accessible as for finding sources, etc, please throw out some thoughts!
Thanks!

Roman History Research Paper Topic?

Ten properly constructed paragraphs is not very long. You need a
relatively narrow topic. Why don't you research the cult of Mithra --
how it was similar to and different from other mystery cults of the time,
why it flourished, and ultimately why it failed?
