Hurt My Ear Singing Help

Why is my jaw hurting after singing?

You are probably compensating with your jaw when you should use the core muscles in your body. That's common Too much breath pressure can build tension in jaw. When you breath in before a phrase, try to feel expansion on your lower back and relax your lower abdomen. Keep that expanded feeling in your body when you sing the phrase and control the air flow with your body rather than throat/jaw. If you want to sing more powerful, don't push too much air out, keep that "resistance" feeling in your body, and think of more resonance space. It's hard to explain that coordination in Quora but you could find some tutorials about breathing technique online, or get voice lessons if you have a possibility. When you sing higher pitches, make sure your jaw is flexible, open it a bit more, but not over-extending in a stiff way.

Whenever I sing, my ear hurts...?

Is this recent? You need to go see a doctor, its probably an ear infection.

There are two things that can cause a sharp pain like the one you describe, extremely loud sounds, but I dont think thats possible just with your voice alone and an ear infection.

Will my new singing bowl hurt my dog ears?

No, it shouldn't affect them. A dog's hearing is very good.

My ear hurts when I sing?

When I sing high or have headphones and sing my ear start going really weird. Its my right ear, its starts bursting I can't really descrive it, it feels like I'm damaging the ear drum. It also feels like cracking I dunno! Anyone got a diagnosis? I do listen 2 music a lot so maybe I should lay off a bit!

The left side of my throat hurts after singing. Why could this be?

You really probably should see a doctor, but if it’s hurting only on one side you may have an infection that’s currently only affecting that side. Is the pain muscular in origin or does it feel acidy and infected? If it’s muscular, then the way you’re using your voice may be the culprit (and you may be hyper-functional on one side). Has your voice deteriorated along with this pain, i.e. husky, lower, reduced upper range, cutting in & out? If it has then honestly you’d likely be doing more harm than good to continue on with this performance, despite it being short. If your voice still sounds normal then perhaps you could rest it all day today and see how it is tomorrow.

Why do my ears pop when I sing?

It is actually a normal occurence whereby the eustachian tube in your ear is balancing the pressure inside with the outside, hence "the pop sound".  I'd like to add that it does not make you a bad singer as the previous answer suggested. You can do simple exercises to relieve the tension in your mouth and throat, in so doing also allowing the pressure to adjust before you start singing. One example is to do deep yawns - make sure you breathe in all the way until you feel air pushing downwards on your diaphragm, and then let out a deep, steady and slow yawn. Another one of my favorites is to exercise your jaw - there are 3 ways to do this - firstly, open your mouth as wide as you can vertically and feel your lower jaw extend downwards as far as possible. Bring your lower jaw up and just before your teeth clash extend your jaw downwards again. Do this repeatedly. Secondly, with your mouth slightly open and upper jaws remaining still, move your lower jaws forwards and back repeatedly. Lastly, just like the previous exercise, keep your upper jaws still, only this time you move your lower jaws to the left and right repeatedly. You can do each of these exercises for about 10-20 times at a slow and steady pace. These should help relieve the tension in your jaws and throat alike, and also remove the air bubbles (they form naturally) that are causing pressure to build up and making 'pop sounds' while you sing.

While singing my ear rattles or vibrates?

you might be singing through your headvoice. and over doing the note. try singing a lower note and using your diaphragm more (almost pushing it out a bit), and see what your ear does..

When ever i sing my ears hurt and my throught starts to hurt.. what am i doing wrong?

It's a muscle spasm. It's a mutation of genes that causes a crossed nerve resulting in spasmodic muscular pain. No fixing it, it probably happens when you talk though not constant enough to cause pain. You're not a professional singer so sing only as much as you want pain
