I-765 Replacement Card Receipt

How long will it take to receive an EAD card and an SSN?

You should receive your SSN card within 2 weeks after you have provided everything that is needed to process your application, including verification of your immigration document with the USCIS. If USCIS is unable to immediately verify your immigration document, it may take 2 additional weeks to receive your card.EAD approval (without RFE) usually takes 30–90 days from the date of receipt. After approval, it takes another 10 days to get approval notice by mail, and approx. 15 days to get EAD card. You can raise a request after 75 days to get the latest update.

I-765 Replacement card receipt?

I recently lost my EAD card and filed I-765 form again for a replacement card. I'm about to start a new job and my employer needs the receipt for replacement card, if I don't have an original card... My question is, is that receipt the same as the one you receive after you file I-765 to RENEW your card??? If not, how is it different???

Can I travel on a valid H1B while my greencard is pending?

I have recently applied for my legal permanent residence using one-stop filing and have receipt notices for forms I-130, I-485, I765, I131.

I am looking to travel to England (my home country) at the end of June. Am I correct in saying that I am ok to re-enter the U.S. on my H1B as it is still valid? (I will still be working for the same employer). My EAD and AP have not been approved yet and if they are at my time of travel, will not have been used by this point.

I have heard that as long as I am on a valid H1B and have my I-485 receipt notice, then I can leave and come back without issue as the H1B is dual intent, so it will not be considered abandonment of my application. Is this right?

Would I have issues if my greencard was approved/ arrived while I was away in England? My interview appointment is at the end of May and I have heard it can take a couple of weeks to several months for the actual card to arrive.

If you are able to give me any advice, I would much appreciate it

After I 485 I 130 I 765 package is sent...?

after you send your envelope you just have to wait to get the receipt notifications for each form, they will have a receipt number so you can check online the status of your cases.

after you receiver your notifications, you'll receive your biometrics appointment at your local office, the USCIS will take your fingerprints and send them to the FBI to see if you have any criminal records or anything like that.

you should expect to receive your employment authorization card in the mail in 90 days from your filing date, it's usually just like 2 months but it varies all the time, if you don't get it in 90 days, you should go to a local office and ask for an interim work permit.

if you're lucky your case may be transfered to the California service center, when cases are transfered there you won't have to go to the interview and prepare but if it's in the National benefits center or elsewhere you'll have to wait for your interview date to be set and then receive your green card days, weeks or months after.

check the processing times of the service center you applied to on www.uscis.gov and you'll have an idea of when your case will be resolved, also you should go to www.visajourney.com it's a community of people like you and me that are on the process of becoming legal residents so you can see the timelines of people that sent their packages about the time you did.

good luck to ya

F1/OPT student in USA wishes to marry a US citizen?

Hi,
I came to USA on F1 student visa. I have graduated and the visa has been expired. Currently I am legally working on OPT which expires is a few months. My gf is a US citizen and we have been together almost a year. We wish to marry. Once we do that, what kinds of forms do we need to fill and do I have to necessarily get married before the expiry date of my OPT or can that happen during the 60 day grace period after that? Do all the forms need to reach the designated place for approval before the completion of OPT?
