I Accidentally Pulled Really Hard On One Of My Teeth While I Was Flossing Will My Tooth Be Alright

I used a waterpik a week after getting my tooth pulled. How soon will it begin to hurt if I have dry socket?

I had 4 wisdom teeth and a back molar removed last Friday. Today I put warm salt water into a Waterpik on the lowest speed and ran it over the extraction holes, a lot of food particles and a suture came out and I'm concerned I might have accidentally removed the blot, I can still see some slimy red and white ...substance in the hole and it doesn't necessarily hurt both sides kind of tingle. Should I be concerned? Is there anything I can do to help reform the clot? I've been doing the salt water rinses and brushing and using mouth was the healing seemed fine but now I'm deeply concerned. Today was my first try at eating somewhat solid foods and I think it will be my demise. HELP!

I accidentally pulled really hard on one of my teeth while I was flossing, will my tooth be alright?

The floss got stuck between my teeth and I was really tired that night and wasn't thinking and decided to yank out the floss(its the individual floss stick type thing). After I did that I felt pain and thought my tooth was going to fall out. The pain went away after a few minutes and it was fine for the day. So it's the next night and I flossed again in that same spot and I still felt the nerve and it started to feel uncomfortable again. It feels like the tooth is getting sucked in or something. It's not loose or anything but it's still uncomfortable and they feeling stayed longer this time. I used the pick side of the floss and I can feel a little hole between the teeth at the top near the gum and that's where the most sensitivity comes from.

I'm going to make an appointment with my dentist but you don't think they'll have to pull out that tooth or something right? ):

What do you do when your cat accidentally eats dental floss?

Don't pull it, my friends cat ate dental floss & it died from internal bleeding because the floss cut her intestine , take your cat to the vet ASAP, the people who say they pulled it out & it was fine got very lucky.

Small, hard lump on gum in front of bottom front teeth.?

This is probably a bone growth, some have it and the dentist would have said something if it was bad. the white is pressure to area causing loss of blood (it is ok, just let the lip go) and the pain is the nerves stimulated with the probing. another healthy reaction. I have one in the same place but on the inside of my gum line. I am 50 and only learned this with a job as a denture repair tech. not caused by infection, would be red and tender all of the time, or cancer which would be turning gray to black.
you can ask dentist next visit, but is normal anatomy.

Swallowed a piece of tooth last night in my sleep, should I be worried?

Generally there is no problem. Even with sharp edges, the gut is soft and pliable enough that it will not cut the intestine, and the pieces are generally too small to cause a cut when passing through the sphincters (stomach and anal). But just to be safe, for the next 3 days, be aware of any stomach aches, extreme fatigue, or weak, sweaty episodes. They would be the first signs of internal bleeding. Also, look for black tarry BMs. That is a sign of bleeding inside too. If there are no problems in 3 days it has probably passed.

How to pull out a tooth without it hurting.?

Stab yourself in the rib and after that pull your tooth out, I can guarantee that you won't feel your tooth. ;)

Joking, go to the dentist

Whats the least painful way to get out a loose tooth?

Here is what I would do:

1. If the back of your tooth is loose or the front ( by loose I mean not
attached to your gums) you can take a piece of dental floss and put
it underneath the loose part of the tooth and pull up, that is what I
do some times

2. You can fold up a paper towel and use it to pull your tooth out,
because a folded paper towel is thick; I found that you can't feel the
tooth hurting as much.

3. You can ask a family member or a friend to count to ten and pull
your tooth out but not really on the number ten to trick you (my dad
did that and I didn't even know he pulled it out.)

4. This is a very very painless way.... and yummy too.... eat some
chewy candy!!! alot of my friends (and myself) have lost teeth by
chewing on starbusts or other chewy candies, but make sure you
aren't chewing too hard because if you do then your tooth might
come out and you will end up accidentally chewing on that too.....
LOL =D

Hope I helped!!! =D
