How do I know if my Mac has a virus?
Macs can get viruses and do get viruses. But there are not very many and they are not as serious as the ones that are on Windows. Some people will tell you this is because the Mac doesn't have the the large installed base of windows. But this is not the reason why. The reason why there are less viruses in the MacOSX today is because Apple has really good mechanisms for patching the MacOSX quickly and easily when a virus does appear and because down deep MacOSX is based on a very secure architecture called UNIX. Out-of-the-box Mac OSX does not enable root user account (although you can over ride this) and is really good about requiring a username and a password in order to do much of anything to the operating system itself. This means that the virus does not have access to a lot of the lower level things that can do a lot of damage on the vast majority of macs. Because of this a lot of virus writers don't even bother to write things that work on the MacOS. Windows doesn't share these features and is therefore much less secure than the Mac which makes it a major target for virus writers who get thier jollies doing evil things to computers. Window out of the box is not as secure or well written. Microsoft has traditionally been much slower about patching it's systems and a lot of the windows install base are running out of date versions of the OS. You have to do a lot of work to secure a windows system and a huge percentage of the user base doesn't bother to do the work. Because of this millions and millions of Windows machines are open to viral attacks. This is led to a situation where the general public has the false belief that Macs don't get viruses. So while you can't say that the MacOS doesn't have viruses you can say that the Mac OS has very few of them that you need to be afraid of and they get felt with quickly.
How DO i Get rid of this Trojan Virus ?
i think i have it. it came without me knowing . i swear i can't open any software / Music / Videos Messenger etc ... but only firefox and internet explorer work ( i use firefox ) . how do i get rid of it ? i swear even the " Run.. " thing doesn't work ( well it works but when i type something and press OK it ccomes for like half a second then goes away ) . and a a couple of computer pop-ups / warnings come like this : Application cannot be executed. the file wmiprvse.exe is infected. and like if i wanna open um lets say Audacity it says : Application cannot be executed. the file audacity.exe is infected. ( it's not only those too others come ) . then an " anti Virus soft Alert comes and says : INFILTRATION ALERT Your computer is being attacked by an internet virus. it could be a password-steeling attack , a trojan-dropper or similar. Yahoo mail has NO limits on storage, and will only be cancelled for inactivity of 6 months or so of not signing in or serious abuse of the account (like spamming). How do i search and view photos attached to my emails?
In my yahoo mail account, i do not have the option that allows me to search for and view the photos/videos attached to my emails. I can see a "search shortcut" section just below the folders sections in email accounts of friends but my account does not seem to have this. When i try to search messages, it merely searches for text in the message and not for photos or images

You have an infection. DO NOT TURN YOUR PC OFF OR USE SYSTEM RESTORE! The first thing not to do is click on the X to exit the program or pop-ups if and when they appear. This will only multiply the virus. Press Alt + F4 to exit the pop-ups. Next, click on the first link below and choose save. Save the file to your desktop for convenience. Click on the icon and let rkill run. Rkill is not a scanner. It will not scan your computer. Most people think they are unable to download rkill bcoz of it's characteristics. When you click ro run rkill a black screen will appear similar to that of command prompt. It will say scanning to end the process for known malware. The screen will suddenly disappear. This is where people get confused. You do no receive a warning or any other message of what process has been stopped. Nevertheless, when the window for rkill disappears you are ready to download, update and scan with Malwarebytes. If you already have Malwarebytes on your computer at the time you became infected you will probably need to uninstall it and re-install. This is due to the files being corrupted by the infection on your computer. However, when uninstalling you will be prompted to re-start your computer. DO NOT DO THIS. Simply re-instlall. If you re-start your computer the process for the malware will start-up and you will have to run rkill again and even possibly remove and re-install Malwarebytes again as well. Update and choose quick scan of MBAM. Next, download Hijack This from the third link below and choose "Do a system scan and save log file". Once the scan is complete the log file will open. Copy and paste the results into the text box of the fourth link below (although the main menu window offers you to upload the file log it is much faster to copy and paste). After pasting, click analyze and wait for the results to display. Scroll down the list to find all entries with a red x next to them. Locate those entries in the Hijack This main window and place check marks in the respective boxes. After all invalid entries have been marked click on "fix selected".
