I Am 17 Years Old And I Am Getting Really Frustrated Because It Seems Like No One Will Hire Me

I need a job, im 16 and pregnant and noone will hire me?

i went on interview after interview and i always get the old "we'll call you back" and they never do and when i don't hear from them i call them back and they either tell me they are fully staffed or we get "disconnected". i actually have a list of places i applied and its over 15.. i tried basically everywhere. a few minutes away from my house is a motel who is looking for an office assistant to pick up calls and book the rooms. so i applied and they said they can't hire me because im not 18. who cares?! i would be there every single day working my *** off, taking the calls, booking the damn rooms! what do they mean i need to be 18! im not going into the motel rooms having sex!! it would be such a perfect job for me.. its air conditioned.. its perfect. is there any possible way i can talk them into hiring me?! they been looking for an office assistant for about a month now.. i mean come on! is there anything i can say. please help me out!!!

Im 17 years old and I need a job in prostitution! HELP?

For starters, I hope this is not a trollish question.

IMO prostitution is never right, and you should not take that shortcut. It will haunt you and once you are in the industry, you stay, and you will have a hard time trying to get out. Work at mickey d's if you need money, minimum pay will always trump a lifetime of stares from other people, rape, STDs, cervical cancer and a life of loneliness because no guy will truly want to be with you.

You will end up an alcoholic, drug abuser, sex slave and you will kill yourself.

PLEASE do not resort to prostitution. Why not tutor middle schoolers, elementary students and what not. Also 17 years old are illegal to do prostitution anyways.

I'm 17 years old and I can't find a job. How do I proceed?

Eleven places may sound like a lot to you. You probably need to apply to 11 places a day until you generate enough interest. That's how you increase the odds of finding someone who needs you and who will hire you. Your job right now is to find a job, so that means...yes, 8 hours a day. It's not a one hour a day situation. Where are you doing your job hunting? If at home, move on out. If you can afford a coffee shop, great, if not, go to the library or some other place where you can focus completely on this task. I'm assuming you have a computer. If not, the library has them. Many libraries also have career sections and seminars. Is there anything available at your local Chamber of Commerce in the way of job hunting help? Do you have a resume? Is it up to date? Is it excellent? You can take breaks every hour, bring your lunch, take a break for lunch, but you really have to sit there and do this. Pounding the pavement, making phone calls, going to see people in person, all of these do count as part of your 'job' right now. It's hard. You'll get frustrated and annoyed, but keep at it. Start the day with a list of what to do, and then get started. Let the list generate more lists and the ideas will come. You can create a daily 'talk to' people list. Find one or two people every single day that you can talk to about your job hunt. And then, take the weekend off, 1 or 2 days, and go find free, fun stuff to do where you live. Get back at it on Monday. In addition to the places you listed, there's your local newspaper, any job boards at coffee shops or food coops, Monster, Thumbtack (if you have any marketable skills), Indeed, and those are just a few that I know of. There are also jobs such as dog walking and yard maintenance. Painting. Restaurants. Can you afford to have a business card printed? Vistaprint usually has them very cheap. That could be a great thing to be able to hand people. Good luck, and let us know how it's going. I hope you end up with more jobs than you know what to do with!

My parents keep calling me lazy and useless, but i'm just being a teenager?

My parents are always hassling me to get a job and get my driver's license. I applied places but they never hired me because i'm only 17, so they probably want someone who is 18. I didn't want a job because i'm focusing on school work for graduating, and I had track practice everyday. Track ended yesterday, and legit as soon as I woke up this morning they were shoving job applications in my face saying that now I have time to get a job. They see that i'm happy not having a job at the moment and they always blow up in my face about it, saying that at this rate i'll be a loser at life. Today they went on a rage calling me lazy and useless, and yelled at me when I argued back. They said that I should NEVER raise my voice at them. Also they yell at me because my room is messy, my grades are plain average, and I procrastinate. My older sister never acted like me. She was super excited when she got a job, keeps her room OCD clean, and gets higher grades, so my parents arent used to having an actual typical teenager. Were they wrong for yelling at me? Aren't I just being a teenager?

18 years old and can't find a job! Where can I get a job?

I'm 18 years old and I've been searching for MONTHS to find a job. But it's like everywhere I go no one is hiring or they only have online applications so like heck any actual person ever sees my application, or they only want people with experience. 'm really getting frustrated with this, my parents are getting mad at me for not finding a job yet, and I won't be able to go to college unless I start earning money.
I'm not only applying at certain things. I'm willing to take anything to start off, I can work ANY time needed, but still no one will even give me a call back (I've only had two interviews at the same place and didn't get hired, nothing else calls me or lets me set up an interview)

Please can anyone help me, give me advice on how to find a job? I'm really getting worried that I'll never get a job an be able to go to college...

Why won t employers hire me?

Once a week I embark on a whole day journey applying to multiple stores, retail, restaurant, temp, fulltime, seasonal, but no calls or emails back, even after a week! This is starting to concern me for I have just ended my fourth journey.
I worked two summers ( 13 & 14) for the City of West Hollywood as a camp counselor (extremely active and fast paste) and six months (Oct - Apr) for GameStop (Mid paste and a lot of customer service.) The camp job is seasonal every year but for GameStop I was laid off. I also have a load of volunteer work.
With all that being said I haven t a clue on why employers don t get back to me. I like to think I m moderately suited for any work environment. Can someone conjure an answer for what I lack. Much thanks!!

P.S.
I m 17 going to 18 in mid February. I currently attend highschool on second semester.
