I Am A 21-year Old Female Which Stores Should I Shop At

Where do 20 year old females shop for clothes?

Being a 20-year-old female myself, I shop for clothes at three places: Walmart, Goodwill, and Torrid.I shop at Torrid when I have the money to do so. It’s a bit expensive, but their clothes are of AMAZING quality, fit me correctly (a struggle since I am a plus-size woman) and are styles that I actually enjoy. I especially go there when I need shorts, dresses, or outfits to go out in.I shop at Walmart when I need something cheap or when I really need something but don’t have the money to get it at Torrid. Being a plus-size woman, it’s harder to find clothes here that are actually cute or at the very least not just giant swathes of cloth sewn to slightly resemble normal clothes. I buy my socks and other basic clothing from here mostly. Occasionally, they will have a good selection of blouses that will be in style for just the single season, so I will get them from Walmart because I don’t want to shell out money on something that I won’t wear for more than a few months at most.I shop at Goodwill when I feel lucky. Goodwill is VERY hit-or-miss, no matter who you are! However, I have gotten super lucky from time to time: brand new jeans, flannel button-ups, and business shirts can be found brand-new or barely used and bought at a massive bargain.

Good place to shop for a 22 year old female?

I am looking for a place that carries fashionable clothes for a young woman transitioning between college and work. Clothes that could be dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion are best. (i.e. going out to eat, going shopping, go bowling, etc. or wear to a formal party, outing or even work). Not really sure which stores carry clothes that fit this criteria. Links to websites would be much appreciated.

(on the off-hand, anyone know what a fuchigi ball (or something like that) is?)

Is it really wrong for a 15 year old to date a 21 year old?

So i keep running into this girl but she looks way younger. I would say about 14 or 15. Im not really sure. Anyway, I caught her looking at me on many occasions. But how wrong is it for a 21 year old to date a 15 year old?

26 & female - Where should I shop for clothes?

I feel like I'm trapped between dressing like a teenager and an adult. I like simple lines and modern looks but I also don't like to spend a lot of money on clothing. (I'm 5'6", 115 lbs and usually wear a small or xs)

Stores like Forever 21 and Papaya make me feel old, plus the stuff never lasts.
There's no H&M where I live.
Urban Outfitters is OK, but a little heavy on the hipster and usually WAY overpriced.
In department stores, the juniors clothes always seem to childish or poorly made, while the womens' clothes usually don't fit me very well (they're too big).
I like to dress a little on the artsy side, so sometimes GAP, Old Navy, J.Crew, etc are just a little too conventional.

I'm also not very fashionably inclined so I need some source of inspiration to get ideas from.
Does anyone have ideas?

Is it normal to still feel childish even though you are 21 years old?

I think people change less than they expect to as they grow up. You retain a lot of your essential self throughout your life, so when you are 21, you are still the person you were when you were seven. You may be more like your own 7-year-old self than you are like another person who is 21 years old. That may create the illusion for you that you are not behaving or feeling like a 21-year-old, because you are not like other 21-year-olds.The fact is, if you were to ask a 51-year-old, you would probably get the answer that yes, in fact you are perceived as a 21-year-old.It’s good that you still feel “childish,” though— it’s good to have a continuous identity. A fractured identity could be a sign of a problem, like a mental illness, brain disease, or brain injury. Radical changes in people’s personalities usually come only after some insult to the brain, or some disease process. Sometimes emotional trauma can cause a fracture as well.If you sit down and make a list of all the things you can do, though, that a child cannot do— everything from higher math to driving a car to a place you have never been to before, to cooking a meal from scratch, you will realize you are a quite competent adult. All adults, even people past middle age have an occasional crisis of competency, when they can’t believe all the things they are responsible for, and wonder how they pull it all off— yet somehow, they do. I’m 51, and sometimes I marvel at how I get my son to school every day, clean and fed, myself to work on time, and still manage to get to the store to do the shopping. But the older you get, the less frequent and less intense these crises get. You are probably on your own, and have not been for very long, and are still settling into it. You may not have patterns and routines that make things easy and comfortable, and once you do, you’ll feel more competent. You will still be the same person who was once a baby, then a toddler, then a kindergartener, a middle schooler, and a high schooler. You’ll always be that person, so in a way, you will always be all those ages at once. Just keep plugging along. You are fine.

What are good places for a 19 year old girl to shop for clothing?

youre not too old to shop in those places, just make sure to stay away from their stereotypical shirts that have their brand name on them.... (you know, those shirts that all look the same)
they have some cute items that are more "trendy" than their usual ones, you can get those..
and forever 21 , old navy, urban outfitters are great stores too!

I am 4'8" tall and 21 years old. From where can I buy clothes that are made for adults but are in my size?

Separates from the petite department or junior department (depending on the size range & your build) might work better than one piece garments. Shirts can be tucked into waistbands and skirts or pants might be wearable by raising the hem. You could also try shopping where shorter women (Asian and Latin women tend to be somewhat shorter than European women, at least looking around at the stores where I am shopping).Your other option that is going to be less expensive than getting custom made clothing made for you by someone else is to learn to sew and make your own clothing - still “custom made” but you’re providing the labor, which is going to be somewhat cheaper. As a bonus, it will be *very rare* for someone else to show up in the exact same garment.Having a designer make you a custom block (basic set of patterns) that fit and learning how to manipulate those blocks to make anything that you want to wear or getting pattern drafting software to use to design & print made-to-measure patterns is going to take less time & effort than trying to find something your size in a world where that size isn’t common. I know of Wild Ginger and Livingsoft NW that make pattern drafting software, there are also disks with a limited number of patterns on them (forget the company) that you enter your measurements and the clothing pattern is drafted on the computer for printing - fewer options for styles on the disk - but a lot smaller price, too.It would take a little money to get a machine, some fabric, and do some practicing on learning to sew - but it is a skill that you can continue using for the rest of your life. I run into women in their seventies & eighties who are still sewing - including my own mother. Although she’s happy to let me sew for her, too…she remembers paying for my sewing lessons (I was not doing much with the previous music lessons).

32 year old man, 21 year old girl... thoughts?

My sister *just* turned 21 and recently told me that she's been dating this new guy for about a month. When pushed for more details it turns out he's 32 years old and works as a manager at a grocery store.

My sister is very bright with her university studies and will definitely become a successful person in the future.

I've definitely expressed my displeasure with the whole situation and told her that there's something to be said about a 32 year old man who can't find a woman close to his own age and is dating a 21 year old girl. I also think that she deserves a guy who is more on par with her.

I'm 25 and have certainly dated older men but none have had an age gap this severe. I understand that age isn't everything but I really do believe that two people have to be at least in the same stage of life.

Am I being too harsh??
