I Am A Electrical Engineering Student And I Wanna A Ramp Show Theme

Chemical engineering major. School is making me depressed?

If you're getting an engineering degree because of the salaries you're making a big mistake. Engineering needs to be something you're passionate about and that will motivate you to do what it takes to learn the material. Keep in mind that the rigor and the tight deadlines will NOT go away after you graduate, if anything they will increase because employers will make you work your *** off, and additionally the answers are no longer in the back of the book. Companies don't pay engineers to work on problems that have already been solved; you are constantly pushing the envelope of technology. Engineering is notorious for being a massive time sink to learn, so what you're experiencing is the life of a typical engineering student if they want to pass each class with more than the bare minimum.

So, the question you need to ask yourself is, did you choose chem eng because you love the subject and can't wait to learn more, or did you choose it based on an article online that talked about how great the jobs are and how much money they make? If it's the latter then you're probably wasting your time, because even though you may graduate and get a job, your employers will notice your lack of passion and motivation and that will affect your advancement potential. I don't mean to come across as negative, but I often see people who are majoring in engineering for the money and it shows.

I'm an electrical engineering major and I wouldn't major in anything else, like you I also don't have a life but I find the material so fascinating that it keeps me motivated even though I struggle a lot and am often frustrated to the point of throwing my books in the fireplace.

First of all, would like to clarify am neither an Astrologer nor Fortune-teller as such not capable to see what’s stored for you.It is important to understand that each individual born on this earth comes with own destiny that is based on individual’s Karma.Life is a journey from birth till death and can be best explained with an example of an engine and boggy running on railway track that started its journey from originating station (i.e. Birth) and is destined till terminating station (i.e. death). Each individual is destined to travel on this already predestined path and while moving ahead, the individual passes through various stations (i.e. Milestones in individual’s life). While individual traveling on predestined path, comes across various different phases that are stored in individual destiny. Each moment of predestined path is experienced by individual only when that moment arrives. What destiny consists of in future moments cannot be accurately known to anyone as such please bear in your mind that even the most learned Astrologer or Fortune-teller would not be able to reveal what’s stored in your destiny and when would individual get it.Therefore individual will get every thing that is stored in his / her destiny however will only be getting it only at right moment / time however no one can accurately predict what things are stored for individual in future moments.Simply keep walking on your predestined path and will keep getting every thing that is stored in individual’s destiny.

How do I prepare for electrical engineering in college? And what college should I go to?

All 5 universities are following the ABET requirements. What this means is that you would have to take at least two Physics, at least two Chemistry and at least 3/4 Calculus/Differential equations courses as well as general interdisciplinary courses like English, Foreign Language, History/Philosophy/Literature, Economics, Management, Social Sciences, Computer Science and technical drawing. The courses are structured that way such that you would be have learn the materials needed to tackle the EIT (Engineer in Training) exam and the PE (Professional Engineer) exam (a few years after graduation).

The way to succeed in college engineering is to be strong in your foundation courses which in this case are your math courses so that you would be able to handle without problems later on. If you have extra time, you may want to visit on of the college book stores and pick up a Calculus 1 textbook and start working on it before the term starts.

Most engineering students have a common first year which many are known to take the time to decide what is most suitable for themselves. More would have problems with Computer Science and Physics than any other subjects. You probably would be able to make the decision whether to choose to EE , EET, Computer Engineering or Computer Engineering Technology before year 3. If you have want most options open, make sure you choose a college that also offers the T (Technology) options. The difference between Engineering and Engineering Technology is Technology focuses more on applications of existing Engineering Technology as opposed to a more theoretical engineering approach of Engineering which entails more brain-power usage and prepares one better for graduate school. Electrical Engineering is deemed as the tougher of the two.

Can't advise you at the microscopic level because I was a Computer Science major. I had many common courses with other engineering majors for the first 3 semesters and for inter-disciplinary subjects. You could also consider switching over to Computer Science (or picking it up as a minor) should you discover yourself to have more interest and aptitude after taking the required Computer Science course.

The Computer Science syllabus is slightly different as accredited programs follows the requirements set by ACM and IEEE as opposed to just IEEE. It is currently administered by CSAB.

I AM A B.TECH 3RD YEAR STUDENT OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING. WHAT SHOULD I CHOOSE RENEWABLE COURSE OR AUTOMATION COURSE?

Both have its own merits and demerits- Choose as per your attitude.

Which engineering course is best for me ?

Dear sir,
All engineering course is best for you but I want to say that your interest area whats up, if your interesting area like electrical means own childhood you play a electronic game & broken then again you Repair till time he is not proper working ,so depend own you,

Engineering means, Everything is possible for you. not possible word never used. you doing any work & heart , sharp way & hard work all r combination is necessary. So now its depended on you.

Chemical engineering major...school is making me depressed?

As hard as it may be, you must take it for what it is: a challenge.
As you discovered with your BA, easy isn't always that rewarding.
You have to keep reminding yourself of two things:

1.) Why you went back to school and what you were leaving behind.

2.) What is ahead of you once you have paid your dues for a very short time, relatively speaking.

You can either have a social life now on a student's income and miss this opportunity OR realize that there is plenty of time to enjoy life's other aspects once you have done what you need to do. Once you do what you need to do... there is plenty of time and resources for you to do what you want to do.

You're investing in YOURSELF. It's all for you and no one can ever take it from you.

BTW, why take such a hard load? You don't have to kill yourself over an arbitrary deadline. Most 4 year engineering degrees will take 5 years and, yes, at times it seems unfair to get just 4 credits for a course that would knock most students to their knees.
Be a rock star... it starts with hours alone with a guitar in your bedroom.

I've been there more than once and I wanted to stop just to take a breath (no part-time engineers, and no night classes)... but I knew if I did I would never finish. (I was already a practicing EE)

Hang tough! You're doing something exceptional. But be careful that your end goal is a good salary. That's not going to carry you like an actual interest/love for engineering. You'll be ten years behind industry (minimum) when you graduate. You never stop learning... or you get replaced.

There is no reason you can't make it fun/enjoyable... it's all about your attitude. There are others just like you... get together on assignment/projects and just venting about how tired you all are. Commiserate, if you must. Like a good crossword puzzle, not all struggles are punishments.

note:
I just abhor when people work proselytizing into their advice. It's so transparent, arrogant, presumptuous, and awkward.

I want to be a engineer (any type of engineering) but im not that good in math?

Have you considered being a Domestic Engineer (housekeeper / cleaning service / maid)?

There is no PHYSICAL reason stopping you from being good in math. YOU think you are not good, YOU fail to try hard, YOU fail to put in the effort, and YOU MAKE YOURSELF BAD AT MATH.

So STOP saying negative things about yourself, AND START CRACKING THE BOOKS. Stop playing video games and use that time to study. Ask your school counselor if they have a senior student who could tutor you. Ask you teacher for extra help on specific problems.

AND STAY AWAKE IN CLASS.

Math is NOT a difficult subject, but people will tell you it is, SO STOP LISTENING TO YOUR LYING "FRIENDS", and prove them wrong. STUDY instead of playing around.

IF you want this goal bad enough, you will get it. If you don't;, you'll fall behind, and find another path. But understand that it is YOU that calls the shots, not math, not your teachers, not "The Universe".

If you WANT to be an engineer, then DO THE SCHOOL WORK.

What makes an engineering major so tough?

Dont worry Dan we are all suffering the same fate as you. I am electrical engineering and youre semester will be mine next. Already i feel like i have no life with calc 3 and physics 1 and computer science. And like you i dont really care too much about the subject. I think its kinda cool and interesting but its not like im yay i know how electricity and magnetism work. I just wanna get paid. But if it came down to it i wouldnt want to major in anything other than engineering. What i like to do is study with a friend, usually helps if its a cute girl. I know they are hard to come by in engineering but theres a couple. Thank god my friend is one of them. Haha i remember the first day of calc 3 i was sitting outside the class and some really hot girl walked by ten minutes later she walks into class and i was just astonished so it is possible! This is probably no help but just no we all have to go through it!
