Do Indians get IT jobs in Canada after PR?

Well, as per a recent report, Canada needs 1,90,000 ICT graduates by 2019 to fill the vacancies in their fast growing industries and organizations. There is some serious imbalance in demand and supply of ICT professionals in Canada. They are not producing enough ICT graduates annually to combat the rising demand for ICT professionals in the country. Hence, they rely largely on the foreign skilled workers. This is the reason that Canadian government has eased the immigration rules and procedures in last couple of years to allow more and more immigrants in the country. Can I get a teacher job in Canada from India?

I am not a teacher but these opinions are anecdotal based on teacher friends of mine.Teaching jobs in Canada are pretty hard to come by, It doesn’t matter if you have a masters degree from India you still have to pay your dues by starting at the bottom. It seems like there is more supply of teachers then there are jobs. A friend of mine has been working as a substitute teacher for over a decade now hoping one day she will get a full time role, she has to keep subing to be in roaster if position opens up. Teaching is one of the professions where there isnt a lot of churn once some one becomes a teacher in a school chances are they will retire from that school. You might try your luck in some of the northern provinces or northern ontario towns, there may not be much of a social life like in cities like toronto but all you need is a job then that could be an option. In general if you already have a teaching job in India think very hard before moving canada may not be a great prospect for you. On the other if you want to switch careers then maybe depending on your chosen career you might find something. I advise against my friends who work in banks and teaching in India if they say they want to move to Canada since these roles dont pay as much (In terms of expense earnings ratio) in india. A lot of times people convert dollars to rupees and think its a lot of money but also keep in mind you are spending in dollars to keep living here so when you think like that a teacher or bank clerks salary wont look that impressive.
