I Am Afraid I Will Run Out Of Malaria Pills Does It Really Matter

Trouble swallowing pills in the Marines?

I'm trying to figure out when the Marines would want you to swallow pills.

Swallowing pills is easy if you know how. For tablets or caplets (solid material shaped like a capsule), tilt your head back to swallow. They will sink toward the back of your mouth.

For capsules (two halves filled with material), tilt your head forward to swallow. The capsules will float toward the back of your mouth.

How can your community help fight malaria, a disease that kills 8,000 children in Africa daily?

Our community can help by educating ourselves on current events in Africa, first by knowing where Africa is then learning the different horrendous plights thought this very very sad continent ,with it's many dilemmas...Next we should urge our government officials to send the aid that is needed make it a priority let them know this is so serious that our votes depend on it...We must next be grateful to God we are not going thought this and use our blessings in this country USA to teach our children empathy towards mankind, to realize that all that's glitters is not always gold, That the greatest resource mankind has is his compassion and love for all ,not just whats in our backyard, that humanity stretches throughout this EARTH,not this home, city, state, country, continent, but throughout this world....PEACE AND LOVE TO YOU FOR A QUESTION VERY MUCH NEEDED....

Misquitoes and Malaria?

When a human is infected with malaria, it first grows and reproduces in the liver. Then, it moves into red blood cells. Four species of malaria parasites can infect humans. Plasmodium falciparum, P. vivax, P. ovale and P. malariae. Often, characterized by fever, chills, and other flu like symptoms. It can however incubate without causing any symptoms. Also, it can cause severe problems like liver or kidney failure. Incubation can be anywhere from a weeks to a month, depending on the type of Malaria. Certain malaria strains are considered drug resistant. I know when I went to Peru, I couldn't take two sorts of Malaria pills because the malaria there was already resistant to them.

Try looking on the CDC for other facts. That is my favorite website to go to when researching diseases and viruses and things. Also try the WHO.

What is the prognosis of the malaria?

Malaria - severe

Potentially lethal multi-system disease.
clinical manifestations depend on age.

Hypoglycaemia, convulsions and severe anaemia are relatively more common in children.

Acute renal failure, jaundice and pulmonary oedema are more common in adults
cerebral malaria (ie malaria causing coma), shock, and acidosis, which often terminate in respiratory arrest may occur at any age

Hope this helps

Why does my heart beat too fast and hard for no reason?

I notice my heart has stutters or spasms, whatever you want to call it, where if I am under too much stress I feel it suddenly beat hard and knock the wind out of me. I found this happens only when I am running on a lack of sleep and strong anxiety, and it does not need an immediate trigger. This is apparently a normal thing that can happen to anyone.

Now having trouble reaching up too high might indicate some kind of circulatory problem - however if you can try standing up suddenly and reaching up high suddenly and nothing happens, it's probably just normal and you need to figure out what actions/situations correlate to the episodes so you can prevent them.

Has a doctor ever prescribed medicine you were afraid to take?

YES, Before I was a nurse and I was a military dependent, I was given a medication for my supposed arthritis of my spine. I was working with some residents in pathology and I showed them what I was supposed to take. I am glad I did that because it was a medicine that had to be monitored for bone marrow damage. These military doctors didn’t order any kind of regular routine labs for me every other week. I took the medication for about one month and I stopped immediately when I found out the truth about that particular medication. Being a healthcare professional has saved me several times for taking something that was harmful to me. I innocently took a tricyclic antidepressant for one week and realized I was getting sicker and sicker and I took myself to the ER. I will NEVER take an antidepressant again that is a tricyclic!! Same goes for the anti-infective drug called Rocephin. I had a diarrhea so bad I couldn’t leave my house to go a block and get some Imodium to stop it!! With just a sip of water and I was running to the toilet. The Rocephin totally wiped out the normal flora of my colon. Now, I always look up the medication if I don’t know anything about it. I usually go on the internet and I refer to my own personal drug books too. Everyone should do this with a new medication they have never taken before. That way you will know when something doesn’t feel right and you will probably realize it is a side effect to your medication.

How does it feel to be high on heroin?

Pull back. The blood rushes in. I got it. Slowly push the plunger? I want this to last. Pull it back out again, the blood swirls back in. Now. Squeeze. This is what they mean by a rush. It rushes up my arm in tingles. Then it hits. Shit. It is like a mini explosion of pure pleasure.   Everything is blissful and beautiful psychologically. I love everything. It is pure joy to  be alive, to have a body; briefly that is the only awareness. Depending on the quantity and quality this echoes a little or a lot. Sometimes it is there for hours. Sometimes it fades to just feeling amazing. It is sensual. All your nerves are on fire and just having someone run their fingers along your skin feels delicious. It isn't really sexual. I think it is simply that the intensity of the experience lends itself to being described that way. It is actually difficult to orgasm while high on Heroin. Most people can't, but a woman can, with determination. Wow. Wow. Wow.If you are doing nothing then you tend to "nod off" which is definitely similar to the dozing state after you wake up. When really stoned dreams feel very real (lucid) and often you are disturbed by replying. Woken up by your own talking, it can be quite confusing that there is another reality. Most people tend to try to be inactive to encourage this state. Those of us with backwards brains (ADHD users are often talkers on heroin) like to do things like read or talk to get into an "awesome" conversation. I used to take a little bit to do school work because it helped me focus. Anyway I am getting off the subject. This is when you are "high" on heroin. This gets rarer the more you use regularly as your tolerance rises.

Treatments for cancer?

My relative was recently diagnosed with cervical cancer, and I have been looking ofr treatments. I don't really need a webpage about it, since I've found plenty of those, but I do need treatments that have worked of people whom you personally know.

Aside from surgery (hysterectomy), radiation therapy, and chemotherapy, what treatments are there? Any breakthrough techniques that are minimally damaging to her? I know her survival odds are slim, since she's 86 years old, but I would like to do everything possible to help her.

If you have any success stories or successful treatments (doesn't matter which country or which type of approach), that would be very helpful.
