I Am An Obese Person Weighting 300 Lbs. Like To Walk For Exercise.

Good Healthy Diet//Exercise Routine For Obese Person?

Start a food journal and write down EVERYTHING you eat. EVERYTHING. every jolly rancher you get at the dry cleaners'. every snickers bar you get from the vending machine when you're starving. EVERYTHING

count calories (just approximate to the nearest fifty when looking at nutrition facts), and limit yourself to 1200. however, give yourself free reign in regards to fruits and vegetables, and don't bother counting the calories in them (EXCEPT bananas and potatoes)

here's an example of a day's eating:
breakfast: glass of 1% milk (100), light whole grain english muffin (100), 1 tbsp natural peanut butter (100), berries
mid morning snack: apple, 2 tbsp natural peanut butter (200)
lunch: salad, 1 tbsp vinaigrette/italian salad dressing (100), water
mid afternoon snack: banana (100)
dinner: water, Barilla Plus pasta (250), tomato sauce (50), steamed green beans, serving of low fat/low cal ice cream (200)

you can still have indulgence foods (like ice cream, peanut butter, etc), but you need to watch portions! remember to snack on low cal, but filling foods (choose ones with fiber/protein, like an apple+peanut butter, or whole grain graham crackers+Greek yogurt, rather than a bag of potato chips or pretzels)

eat breakfast, and snack throughout the day to keep your metabolism running

exercise: you don't need to spend hours and hours training each day, and setting unrealistic goals will only result in failure and loss of motivation. instead, walk for 5 minutes the first week, then 7 the next, then 10, then 15, then 20, then 25, then 30. once you hit 30, either continue increasing (if you have the time), or just start pick up the pace gradually (walk more swiftly for a week or two, then begin a light jog, then a real jog)

A good way to lose weight for obese people?

Hello, You are wise to want to avoid obesity. Diabetes, heart conditions and strokes, hypertension and many other issues are all possible results of obesity. I would be speaking to a doctor for a referral to a really good dietician and human movement person. You need to be coached in how to eat enough to fuel your body without weighing it down plus to organise the suitable exercises to keep your muscles and skeleton well. This helps with circulation and many other issues including avoiding depression. Good luck to you for having a nice responsible attitude. Be health and happy ... Cheers Lisa

Should and can a morbidly obese person exercise 2x a day?

congrats on your weight loss so far! I'm a huge fan of people who can lose weight, like you are.

You should start watching The Biggest Loser on TV. Some of the contestants are around your size. the trainers, Bob and Jillian, make the contestants workout 6-8 hours a day. They do strength training and cardio. I agree with the person from yahoo answers who said you need an active lifestyle. You definitely aren't hurting yourself by walking more. Your body just hurts because it is not used to doing all of this. You have a lot of weight on your bones, so it is going to hurt.

You can also go to a gym and hire a personal trainer. They know how far to push you. Also, on youtube, there are exercises you can do to increase your strength and lose fat.

after awhile of working out and eating healthy, your body should not be as tired as when you first started. Since you are getting tired more often, you need to make sure you eat/drink protein. It will keep your energy level up. Just make sure not to have a lot.

For your size, i would eat about 1,800 calories a day. Try to increase your workout by 10 minutes. After two weeks, decrease your calorie content by 100 calories and increase your workout by 10 more minutes, resulting in 20 minutes of cardio.

Also, if you could invest in hand weights (10 pounds) that would help. Every night use the weights to increase arm muscle.

I hope this helped. I wanna make a change in at least one persons life, and i hope it is yours.
Just remember that you only get to live once! :)

if you need more help, become a fan of mine. we can exchange emails or something and i can be a support!

I am very obese and trying to lose weight...?

It always comes down to how you eat and the amount of activity you get.

Try finding healthier things you like, or can at least pretend to like. It wont immediately solve the emotional eating, but if you can eat say grapes all day instead of 50 hershey bars, thats a start. You may want to choose one aspect of your diet and one aspect of your activity level to start with. Going straight from the type of diet most 300lb people would have, to a 100% healthy diet, can be too over whelming for some people.

You need to build new habits and find new activities that replace the rewards you get from eating.

Start walking.... a simple exercise that you already know how to do. Start with whatever amount you can walk, and try to increase it each week. If you can start at 5 mins, go to 8 next week, 10 the next, 15 the next. If you can start at higher, start higher. A problem with many exercise routines is that the beginners level is really only beginner for someone who already has an active life and is in relatively decent shape. For someone who is obese and sedentary, they are very far advanced. Do not be afraid and give up if you can only exercise a few minutes at a time or less. Just do what you can do multiple times a day until you build up to a 30-60 minute exercise routine that you can complete in one setting.

Small steps. You wont be a size 6 this time next year, or even the one after. It takes TIME.

What is the best exercise program for morbidly obese people?

Start with walking, as much as you feel comfortable with doing on a daily basis. Constantly strive to do more per day but dont over load your self. It will take a while but eventually you will start to see the wait coming off once you feel more comfortable try doing more strenuous exercises such as exercise machines like the elliptical. Keep pushing your self and try to stay motivated. Also if you have access to like a 5-20 lb dumbbell you can do various free weight exercises. Weight training is really helpful in weight loss. The keys are just dont do anything that overloads you soo much that you give up, however at the same time you need to keep pushing your self harder. Also remember weight is nothing magical calories in = calories out. Any variation to this equation will either create weight gain or weight loss. Even though its hard at times you are really in total control of your weight goals :D Good luck!

If you are a fat person and I walked up to you and said would you like help losing weight...?

I think he'd mostly likely be offended. The fact that he's working out indicates that he probably is trying to get in shape, but it's still kind of personal, assumptive question. I think the suggestion of asking if you could work out together might be good - but as you indicated that you're pretty slim, he might also think you were making fun of him too, if he is sensitive.

Maybe try just talking to him and being friendly, so that you can get to know him a bit. Then, once you know his name and aren't a total stranger, you could try something like - 'hey I notice you using the treadmill a lot, I don't know if you're up for it, but the elliptical (for instance) is really a very effective machine and I think you might like it. I can show you how to use it if you'd like.' And then go from there. You can suggest more things as you know him better. If he ever expresses a specific goal of weightloss to you, then you can offer your help in that arena.

The only other thing is if he doesn't seem interested or says no - BACK OFF! Seriously, you don't want to make him feel self conscious when he's really doing something great for himself. I know what a hard time I have getting myself to the gym (due to basic lethargy)! If I felt judged or watched, that would be a great excuse to stop going.

It depends on how many calories you are burning and other bodily factors too.See the clear formula is calories got from eating minus calories burned = calories gained every day.So when we exercise, walk, run, do gym then we burn calories faster and if we are not doing these kinds of stuff then also we are burning calories like during sleep, rest also but that is way low. But these kinds of stuff are required to be healthy.Next coming to the diet if we are eating two times a day (for weight loss) or eating just the required amount in our three meals then we are consuming the right amount of calories which will not rapidly increase our weight. So you can gain weight if you eat too much food every time, eating that carbohydrate-rich food like paratha, aloo ki sabzi, and all those junk foods. These will increase your weight but leads to many health issues in the future which I am sure you would not like that.So intake of calories be in such a way that it should not harm your body and you can gain weight also. So you can eat this list of food to gain weight and they have less harmful effects on your body.Eggs (78 calories each)white rice(240 calories per cup, cooked)pasta (390 calories per serving, cooked)butter (102 calories per tablespoon)dry fruits (130 calories per serving)protein shakes/powder which can be added to milkIn addition to this, you should do weight training exercises which will help you in not storing those extra calories as body fats, so indirectly helping you to remain fit.Just like loosing weight, gaining weight requires planning and consistencyIf we talk about some weight factsOne pound/0.45 kilograms = 3500 calories(approx)To gain one pound per week increase your required calories by 500 per day (500 calories X 7 days per week = 3500 calories)
