I Am Confused Which Aas Degree To Take Marketing Or Management Which Course Can Help Me Get A Job

Business administration vs Accounting degree?

I am debating whether to major in business admin or accounting. If I go the business route, I am going for an MBA. If I go the accounting route, I will aim to be a CPA.

I find business more fitting for my personality and I find it more interesting but it seems that the business admin major may be too broad and I may be stuck trying to find a fitting job after I graduate. I want to become a manager of some company though. I believe i have good management skills.

On the other hand, accounting is a bit boring to me but it is very practical in the real world. I won't have problem finding a job for long if I go this way.

I am aiming to eventually make $100k or more. Which route is more promising?

I want to do fashion merchandising, but I already have a bachelor's degree in something else. I am confused as to which type of degree should I be going for, bachelor's, master's, or associates in fashion merchandising?

Hi. I just like you had a bachelor's degree in computer applications. But I was interested in doing MBA via CAT, for which I did not had any time to prepare. Long story short, I came across MFM (Master of Fashion Management), a Master's degree in Fashion Management, Merchandising, Marketing et al, took the entrance exam (and GD,PI) and got in. Interesting curriculum, interesting internships and direct exposure to the fashion world. You can go for Bachelor's in Fashion Merchandising (Available at Pearl academy), which as far as I know is of 5 years duration, though please check it out yourself. You can also check out Diploma courses of 6 months at NIFT. Good Luck! :)

I am an electronics and communication engineer graduate. It's been over a year, and I haven't found any job. Some said to do Java, and I'll get a job. I have also completed that, but still no job. I'm frustrated and I don't know what to do next. What can I do next?

Thanks for A2A.You have many options but you need two things for any of the following: perseverance and hard work. I will share what happened with me and my friends.1) Many of my friends did B. Tech. in ECE and did not got a job immediately, nut they did not loose courage. They went to places like Delhi and Bangalore where you can find many job advertisements everyday. Walk-in interviews are very common. They got the job within 6 months. These people simultaneously enrolled in training for java or vhdl.2) Some of them stayed back at home and prepared for a specific job (a few of the jobs not related to ECE) and cracked it within a year. This includes vacancies in public sector or research institutes like ONGC, BHEL, CSIR, ISRO as well as many banks.3) A few others applied for jobs advertised on (Jobs: Search Jobs In India, Govt Jobs, Job Vacancies & Freshers Jobs Online) * or similar portals. 4) A few others (including me) appeared for GATE either in 4th year or after completing degree and got admission to M. Tech. programme. The stipend is good and if you have a predilection for research no other option can be better.Right now I can't think of any other option but I'm sure there must be.  I totally understand that staying at home after getting the degree is boring and kind of embarrassing, but rather than thinking about it better to use time constructively for our better future. Remember, everyone gets a job if one persists long enough.*Disclaimer: I am not endorsing the job portal directed above. It was just an example where you should search for jobs and not pay them money or submit resume.

Can you major in economics and minor in finance?

Theoretically it is possible to do so, but the requirements for this action, like so many things, will be particular to the college you attend and of your economics and finance departments. It may be that those departments have decided that it's neither practical nor necessary for a student to concentrate formally in both departments and don't allow the combination you suggest. There's really no way for me to know, of course, so you should look at your student handbook, or, more likely, each department's requirements for completing a major and a minor. Good luck to you.
