If you get it again then good enough else the authorities might issue you a duplicate one.[Kindly keep few xerox copies of all your documents whether it be transfer or character certificates for future in case you need them.]Best of luck.☺

Quite surprising since character certificate form last edu inst is considered valid. In such case you may request your school admin to re-issue the character certificate in new date paying some penalty or you have to seek it from local city admin authorities like DM/SDM/MP/MLA or some gazetted officer.You can ask from your college which character certificate will be considered.
How can I get my original certificate of BA from IGNOU?
If they have send you the original certificate via indian post then check with your local post office. It happens that IGNOU sends the original marksheet/certificates to the candidate at their registered address but it may or may not reach upto the student.You have the following options left with you.1. For certificate give a visit to regional study centre and ask if they have your original certificate.If do they have then they will give you your certificate after necessary formalities.2. If not,go to IGNOU headquarter in Delhi (Keep a couple of day in hand before going,however staff memebers at Dehhi HO are quite cooperative!!), they will provide you with duplicate copy of your marksheet/certificate.3. Third option i am giving is upto your choice. When you go to IGNOU headoffice in Delhi, try to get the dispatch number along with related details and make a liasion with postal department.Otherwise having the details as above, file a RTI regarding status of delivery of your consigement as per the details received from IGNOU, I hope it works.Since you will face difficulties if you do not produce original certificates at the time of admission/interview leave no stone unturned to get the originals back.Hope, you will benefit from my experience going through the same phase.

When do we get original degree from Delhi university?
Since you have done your graduation from SOL, you will get the degree delivered at your postal address registered with DU after the completion of span period. Span period of Hons. courses is 5 years and for all the other courses it is 6 years.For example, if you have done B.Com (Hons.) then you will get the degree after 2 years from the date of declaration of final year result.
