Does falling in love feel awkward?
For me, it's more if I have an intense crush. I rarely actually fall in love with a guy until we become friends and that love thing develops, and then it might take a while for me to recognize it. When I have an intense crush, then I often lose confidence around him, and don't know how to act when I'm around him. I even notice that I get kind of cold and withdrawn around him. "In love" is a little different.

I have a wonderful boyfriend who I love. I am falling for my pen pal who lives very far away. I know it's not logical to go for my pen pal but I can't help but wonder if I would be happier with him!!! Maybe I'm crazy!What to do?

I would recommend that you not try. You don't want to hear that, though do you? Well, if you want to "test the waters" to find out if he likes you back, a simple and blunt, "Do you like me?" will do the trick. Again, I wouldn't advise actually doing that though. A friendship is NEVER the same again after you ask a question like this. (This is assuming the answer is a no of course.) Believe me, once they know you're attracted to them, it's like finishing a book with an ending that leaves a bad taste in your mouth. They won't look at you the same way anymore. (That last part is true for both a yes or a no answer.) Because I know that you can't help feeling attracted to this person, you're better off finding out the answer now instead of holding off forever. A very good way to ruin the mood of the situation when you ask is when you start stressing out about it. Don't let yourself become awkward and indecisive when you go to ask, he's going to think something is wrong with you if you do. If you've been friends for a long time and slowly you've felt yourself falling for him, there's a good chance he feels the same. Basically, just keep a natural attitude about it, and if he says no then just get over it. There's really nothing you can do besides move on and find someone else.

Well does he feel the same way for you?You have got to get down into the dirt and dig for your answers, if you have feelings for him then he has to know, you cant keep them bottled inside before they pop out without expecting it you know what i mean? I think the best thing to do is tell him how you feel, and you never know he could still have the same feelings for you, but you will never know unless you ask him. yea maybe your shy or something but give it a chance! If you dont you mite miss your chance and let someone els's race car get infront of you!

You just can’t. I would really wonder how secure you are (within yourself) by the fact that you are afraid to ask? I don’t mean to be rude, but what you are saying lacks maturity… which is important in such a relationship.One of the biggest (and most tragic) mistakes people make in relationships is thinking that we know how other people think and feel. We tend to assume that he or she thinks and feels like we do. So many relationships are lost because we expect our partners to read our minds!! We don’t want to take responsibility with our communication - be assertive- ask for what we need and want.Sometimes it’s a matter of not knowing how to have a good relationship. We get into them, without a clue.So if you want to know how he feels? There isn’t a crystal ball — no mind reading tactics that I know of—lol. You are going to have to ask him. I'm falling for a soldier...what do I do?
So this is my story. A few months back I met a guy in the army over the internet. He was set to Iraq and during that time we became really close usually talking twice a day everyday for several months. We also web cam and talked on the phone occasionally. Recently, he came back for two weeks and came to visit me. We had a great time and really clicked. Awkwardness or anything. There was undeniable chemistry and while this may sound cliche, he isn't like anyone I've know before. I know people like him are rare. Now he's going back to Iraq until next year. I'm feeling this guy like crazy but with the distance, I'm not sure if I'm being realistic about potential of this relationship. While not away, he lives in Texas while I live in Kansas. To visit wouldn't be incredibly expensive. I also plan on moving to Texas after I finish school. After he comes back from Iraq he plans on going to a college for two years before going back to TX, which is the same time I'll be finished with school and moving. During our time apart we still plan to keep in contact and visit each other frequently. So what should I do about this? Should I maintain a friendship and see where that leads? I want to say something about my feelings but there is nothing that can be done about them right now. Am I hoping for the impossible? Detailed responses are appreciated and best answer will be chosen.
How long did it take you to fall in love?
i was wondering how long it took you to fall in love with that person your with now or from even from the past. i fell IN love with a guy after 2months and we lasted for 2.5yrs come to found out he didnt love me like i loved him. a month later i started going out w/this guy and he is really sweet and kind but i feel awful b/c he says he already loves me but i'm not sure if i love him b/c i dont have that same feeling like i had w/my ex and its been almost 4 months and i feel like i should already love him if not falling in love w/him... and i'm wondering if i ever will love him or fall in love him and i know i'm still hung up on my ex but he is also helping me foreget him alot also, i'm alot better now than i was at first and he has helped...but i just dont know and i feel awful like i said i dont think i ever will b/c its already been 4months and nothing has happen... or is this normal? how long did it take you to love or fall in love with someone? much thanks
