I Am Getting A Chocolate Lab Puppy Tomorrow. The Puppy Is A Female. I Am Needing Some Help On

6 week old lab puppy has diarrhea!?

i just brought her home for the first time late last night. the first bowl movement was normal but every one after that has been very runny and frequent. she is making sounds like her stomach is hurting too. i do not see any worms in it. i am having a heard time getting her to drink water. her appetite was good this morning was the last time she ate. could it just be from the stress of the first night in a new home? any help is appreciated!

My pregnant chocolate labrador 's due date is tomorrow , what should i do if she is late?

She is having her first litter. We used frozen semen since we were looking for a stud with all it's proper tests run (hip dysplasia, EIC, eyes, CNM, ect.) and the only on we could find was too far away so we had to have them ship us frozen semen. My dog also had all these tests run as we are very worried about breeding dogs and passing on these types of diseases.
Anyway, she is only having one puppy (this is what the ultrasound and xray told us but the vet has said they can be wrong) which is a bit odd but okay with us. We will probably keep the puppy since the reason we are breeding her is to carry on her blood line as we love her (such a good dog). I feel the puppy kicking and moving, she is producing a lot of milk as of today. I have been taking her temp twice a day and it has yet to go down (the vet told us there will be a temp dip to around 98 degrees about 12-24 hours before labor) .
My fear is because it is a one puppy litter...I am worried it will grow to big and then not be able to fit through her birth canal (the last xray which was last week said it should be no problem). How long past the due date do you start to worry about it getting too big? Should I call my vet if it does not go into labor by tomorrow or just wait a couple of days. I have already called the vet so many times they probably think I am nuts, lol. I just want to make sure everything is okay with my dog and the puppy.
Thanks.

I'm getting a Chocolate lab puppy tomorrow?

Yes.

1. Train from day one, train early and be consistant
2. Take the puppy outside EVERY time for potty - do NOT attempt to train the dog to be peeing inside the house on pee pads.
3. Spay/neuter by 6-9 months old.

Can a female beagle have a male labs puppies?

She will most likely not have any problems but what is the size difference in the two dogs? The gestation period should be 9 weeks so keep an eye on her when she goes into labor. She will want to be left alone in a quiet place so if there isn't a need to help her out then leave her alone when she is giving birth. Contact her vet with any concerns and after the puppies are weened get her fixed.

We need white chocolate dog names?

My 11 week old puppy throws up after long walks, why is this?

OK lets start with this ........

A puppy should not be taken to walk anywhere until it has received its full 3 sets of vaccinations which should have begun at 8 weeks of age and then every 4 weeks .. so 8 weeks, 12 weeks and 16 weeks
At 16 weeks of age the pup would also be given his rabies vaccination. Pups that have received their vaccinations earlier, lets say 6 weeks of age.. will need 4 sets of vaccinations ... so 6 weeks, 10 weeks, 14 weeks and 18 weeks of age. Also at 16 weeks would need a Rabies vaccination. The reason for the additional vaccination is that at 6 weeks old the mothers immunities received through her milk block the vaccination for having any effect, thus resulting in the additional vaccination.

A pup is not fully immunized until it has received all 3 vaccinations. Walking a pup where other dogs are or have been can be potentially dangerous as the pup can pick up many kinds of illness' and parasites left behind in the feces of other dogs. Parasites can actually lay dormant outside for extremely long periods which your pup can contract.

A pup 11 weeks old should also not be walked for long periods of time. It is a baby and should only be walked for about 10 minutes. This being said you should only walk the pup within your own home or yard where you know it is safe for him to walk.

Stop taking the pup, on what you say is quite a long walk as you will be causing him to put undue stress on his growth plates and joints which will cause major medical issues. The same problem happens when people allow their pups to be outside playing in the yard for long periods of time. The timing of exercise is important for the proper growth of a pup and to avoid causing injuries.

He is more than likely vomiting soon after coming home because he had too much exertion as well as too much water (if he had any).

Call your vet and ask them for the proper amount of time to walk your pup. I am sure that it will not be many minutes more than I have detailed above as well as to wait until he is fully vaccinated to venture outside the confines of your property.
