I Am Going To A Gym But No Weight Reduction Advice

Teen weight loss advice please?

I'm 13, 5'9" and, 170-80 lbs.
I'm not really focused on how much weight I lose, but how diffrent I look.

I have huge thighs, and a ginormus butt (ew), love handles, and a flabby belly.

It'd be nice to be able to change my diet and do excersizes so i can see atleast some (no, i'm not expecting anything to go away over night) improvement in a week or so!

What should I eat?
Keep in mind I can't always go out (homework), so what can i do at home?
How long should I do it (I mean, time wise)?
What should i eat?

thanks!

Best time to go to the gym for maximum weight loss?

I've been going to the gym a couple of days now. I tend to wake up around 8ish, eat breakfast, then go to the gym around 11:30 or 12. I feel that eating breakfast then eating lunch and dinner afterwards ruins all the workout from the morning. Is it better to go at night after dinner to burn off the food? Thanks for the answers! :)

Tips For Losing Weight (15 years old)?

I am 15 years old and currently weigh about 280 pounds, last time I checked. I know, it's grossly unhealthy. But, I guess that's why I'm here to change that. I think it's time I stop comparing myself to other skinny girls in my class. Don't get me wrong, I'm by no means insecure. Thankfully, I was gifted academically, so that helps with my confidence.

Here's the thing:
1) i do NOT want to lose weight fast. I know it takes time to lose weight. But, do know that I am very impatient, and I lose hope if I don't see at least some results. So, any tips for not losing my patience and to keep persevering?

2) I AM lazy. I will freely admit that. It's mostly how I got to my current state. I recently tried Insanity, the workout program, and gave up after one month. That shows my laziness, and my impatience, since I didn't see satisfactory results, at least that's what I though. It was mostly due to me not putting in enough effort. The only sport I love with a passion is soccer. It's the only way I'll run. But I have no siblings, so I usually don't have anyone to play with, and I won't exactly make the cut for the soccer team. I would like to tryout my senior year. I'm currently a sophomore. Any tips on exercises or how to stay fit?

3) I DO NOT like diets. I don't eat unhealthy. I hardly ever eat at fast food places, and my meals usually consist of chicken cooked in a good manner. Obviously not fried. But I just cantnstick to the whole calorie thing, and it's too much hassle to go out and buy certain ingredients for recipes. Any tips for my diet?

I think that's enough to get me started. I don't want something temporary. I want to change my lifestyle, not just my weight, and I need your advice and help.

P.S. I want to have a normal high school year. I want to fall in love, at least in high school standards. To know what it's like to like a guy, and not feel self conscious, and even to have him like you back. I also want to try out different styles of clothes that only look good on skinny people.

Tips for using stationary bike for weight loss?

I'm sort of in your boat and here's what I've learned (although I can't swear to it's accuracy). My Dr told me that I HAD to work more and and exercise bike seems to be the best fit for me. My blood pressure, cholesterol, and weight were all dangerously high. My blood sugars were borderline diabetic and my 'good' cholesterol is low.

Diet and meds helped for much-but after 6 months, I seemed to hit a plateau and that's when I started working on the bike. This was about 6 weeks ago. I discovered that 'recommended time to get 'benefit' begins (like you said) at 20 minutes and longer is better. In fact I've been told that even if it means pushing myself a little less in order to build up endurance, longer is better (although I've a hunch that you need to go hard enough to work up a good sweat).I started out by doing 5 miles, which took about 20 minutes for me then-and that gave me a good workout. I've since worked up to 10 miles in about 30 minutes---and now I've slowed down somewhat and am doing 15 miles a 'sitting' in about 50 minutes. In a few days I intend to start doing 20 miles at a time and hope to do it in about 65 minutes.

I had another blood work with the Dr a couple weeks ago-he said that even with the meds, he is shocked at the improvement I've achieved in the last 7 months since my first appt with him. Wt down almost 30 lbs, cholesterol down almost 150 pts, blood sugar down to acceptable levels. I wish you well

If you do a web search you should easily find several sites that will show you how many calories you burn at different intensity levels for your current wt and sex. I find them interesting and a source to help keep me going

I want to lose weight in 2 weeks. ADVICE please. I'm 13 years old, 5'4 is my height, and weigh 136 pounds.?

I’m 13 years old and I want to lose weight. I’m not necessarily fat; you can see that if you look at my pictures. I weigh 136 pounds and my height is like 5’4 or 5’3. I don’t have a flat stomach and I really would like to have that. My arms are kind of big, but not HUMONGOUSLY big I mean they are ordinary. I know you can’t just lose weight in one part of your body, but I really want to lose my belly fat, arm fat, and back fat. I don’t have much back fat, it can be covered up. But, I don’t want to cover it up I just want to be able to go freely without having to try to cover up that fat, plus the stomach fat. I like my body, but I really want to lose the fat that I have talked of. I want to lose it in 2 weeks so could someone please be of a help and give me advice so I can REALLY lose this. THANKS for your time.
