I Am Going To Boston Next Week What Should I Pack

I need some help packing?

I'm going to be studying abroad in the U.S. close to Boston this summer for five weeks. I'm having a little trouble packing, as I think I am taking a lot more stuff than I will need.

Here is pretty much what I am taking:

Is this a good amount? Or what should I leave behind?

What to wear in Boston, MA during the summer?

Your best bet in Boston is to prepare for all eventualities. Normally, July is hot and humid with occasional thunderstorms in the afternoon. But then normally June is wonderful -- this June has been miserably cold, wet, and gloomy. Shorts are fine, short sleeves/no sleeves with a light sweater should work. If you are in the city itself or anywhere within 2 miles of the ocean, we often get a sea breeze that drops the temperature 10 degrees or so from the rest of the area. Harvard Square can be hot, the North End cool at the same time.

Make sure you wear sunscreen and mosquito repellent. It's been so wet that by the time you get here, the little suckers will be out in force. The city was built on a swamp, after all.

What should I pack for a week in NYC/Boston in March?

Hi! First, welcome to NYC/BOS! Weather-wise, we are not our of the “winter woods” yet.The temps may rise and hover around 50 degrees, However, we (in NYC) are expecting rain this month and well as the possibility of snow. (Maybe even a snow storm…) BOS will probably experience similar or colder temps.SOOO, pack for cold, wet, windy weather. But, check the forecast a few days before for the extended forecast. Be advised I have noticed a difference in www.accuweather .com on my Android vs. my desktop. So, my Android has left me unprepared many times. :/Regarding getting around, you should pack good walking shoes. If the weather is not horrible, take advantage of any clear skies and walk to your destinations if they are one subway stop away (or less). That may equal a 10–20 min walk. Carry just the necessities like ID, Metro card (Buy the weekly if you plan to travel extensively) and a credit card inside your coat pocket so you are not saddled with a bag. Get a map. Download a compass if necessary. Explore. (You can’t get lost; just turned around ;)Oh, and bring a sense of adventure, patience (the subway is crazy on the weekends) and flexibility. Anything can happen… ENJOY!!! :D

What would be the best food to pack while going on a 3 week trip to the United States?

$30 a day for food is not at all miserly, you can eat well (not lavishly) and have money left. Though California is an expensive place (San Francisco/Bay Area is one of the priciest in America), there are hundreds of fast food joints where one could breakfast for under $5, lunch & dinner for $8-12. McD, Burger King are the least cost. "Boston Market", KFC, Pizza Hut are mid market. Depending on where you are, there are always "food trucks" selling meals around office areas, universities and other places. Use the internet to locate these.

I Love New York/Mr. Boston???

Mr. Boston made the show interesting. He's a nerd. I hope it was the same clips of him picking his nose. Yuck! I like Tango, White boy, and Chance. Tango seems like he's really into New York. I hope he wins. I don't think 12 pack and White boy has ever been with a black women. It will be a big surprise to me if they had. Mr. Boston is such a geek. He has some funny moments on the show and when he got knock out. I can't picture New York with him. I can't believe New York is kissing on all these guys. It's gross. I think Real or 12 pack might go next week but you never know with the editing. I thought Chance was going home this week. Even though Chance has a temper and he lied, I think he is hilarious. He got that bad boy thing going on too. Have you seen New York recently? She has gotten big and her boobs done. That's my girl and I still like her

Boston weather for july?

I live in Boston...the weather can be very hot like 90's and humid or it could be the total opposite with temperatures in the 70's...that's New England weather for you. Right now, it hasn't been too bad, it's been about in the 80's and not too humid and as of now, it's supposed to stay in about the 80's or so for the next week...Boston might be cooler though because it's near the water, like on Tuesday this past week, it was 85 outside of Boston like the North and South Shores, but Boston was only 66. I'd say pack accordingly with choces of shorts and pants for night....and pack a sweatshirt or a jacket too

What should I pack when traveling to Colorado for a week? (just in case we get stranded in the mountains)

The location really doesn’t matter. You should be packing for the environment you are traveling to, not a specific country or state. That’s the part that is relevant. Are you leaving civilization? Going into the Rockies on dirt roads, deep into the forests and mountains? Then you pack for that. Pretty much the same for temperate mountain wilderness in Colorado, Ukraine, or Peru. Are you staying in Denver, or maybe driving the interstate highways between the state capital and other cities, such as Boulder or Aspen? Then you pack whatever you like to pack for an urban adventure. No need to worry about getting stranded in the mountains, the highways are too heavily traveled for that to be a problem.Just because Colorado has mountains doesn’t mean you are going to be going into them. That won’t happen accidentally, nor on the highways to other major cities.

What is weather in Boston like in April?

variable
it can be very warm or rather cold

you can have snow, or temperatures in the 90's, and it could happen less than a week apart
but realistically expect temperatures in the 50's and 60's with at least one day of rain

check the forecast in advance and pack accordingly
though you should bring warm weather clothes and cold weather clothes, just to be safe

What Should I Wear to Boston in Early April?

Wait, and look at the weather report right before you go. We had a snowstorm with a foot of snow one year ON April Fool's Day.

The weather is wobbling so far - it can 50 one day and 24 the next. By the time you get here, it should have gone over to the warmer temps, but spring is very late this year. Be ready to bring a puffy jacket and some warm layers, because Boston is next to the water, and the wind off the water can be very cold! Since you'll be in town for a week, you;ll definitely use that coat for a few days, even if it has warmed up - at night, most certainly.

All long pants, and COMFORTABLE shoes- a lot of walking her is on bricks and cobblestones, so no heels. Flat shoes or sneakers with LOTS of bounce or your legs and back will hurt.

Oh, and make sure you have a raincoat.
When it starts to get warmer, we get slush and then rain. There's nothing fun about being cold and wet. Consider that when you pick out shoes, too. I wear Ariat Terrain H2O's most of the time or patent leather Dansko clogs - waterproof and cushioned, and ready for the long haul.
