Me and my fiancé got into a misunderstanding. I put a warrant out for his arrest then like the next day I dropped it, tonight the police picked him up and said I could just go to the courts to fix everything and let him go. I just left the police department because the court was closed and they said I can't do anything until 8:30am tomorrow. All the did was give me a number to call in the morning. I'm not accustom to dealing with court and jail and etc. so how do people in movies and tv shows get out the same day? How do the whole bail process work?? Please help me he can't stay in there!

Believe it or not, this is a standard item that is dealt with on a daily basis. When first arrested, you would be in an 8 hour hold facility. There is no provision for medical there outside of sending someone to a hospital if needed. Within a day ( or two if it is a weekend when arrested) you will be transferred to the county jail for booking and arraignment. While going through the booking procedures, a routine question is whether you wear glasses or contacts. If you have contacts, you will be given solution to keep them clean.
