I Am Going To Watch The Purge With My Friends We Are All 14 Are We Able To Go In And Watch A Rated

Is it okay for teens to watch The Purge movie?

Hello,
Is it okay for 13 year olds to watch The Purge movie? It is rated R, but is there anything in there a teen should not see? Is it worse than other horror films?
Thanks

AMC sneaking into R rated movie problem ._.?

Ahh so, this Saturday, me and some friends are going to go watch The Purge :3 Usually, we'd be able to sneak in by buying another movie's tickets, and just going to the one with our actual movie in it. This time, we'll be going right after the day of the first premiere in which there will still be lines to wait in before the movie starts. Since the ticket guy would notice if we went there, I don't believe that's a good idea.

We were thinking of buying the tickets to the Purge via the internet or from the booths they have there. They won't need age verification since it's not in person. Even so, I was wondering if we'd be allowed in.

The movie theater I go to consist of two things one must get past of. First is the place where they sell tickets to movies. They usually do age verification there since it's where people buy the tickets. Second is the place where the guy collects the ticket, rips off a part, and directs you to the correct theater part, since there are two ways you may go. I'm having second thoughts about getting past the second part. He would clearly see that we are not of age but yet we have the tickets.

There are a few things that I have thought of although I am not 100% sure they would work. It'd be great if you could either comment on my ideas, add to them, or provide me with your own. Thanks!
1. We give the guy our tickets and we slip by with no problem.
2. We allow my mother to go in with the ticket accompanying the others while one person stays back. Afterwards, my mother leaves and gives the remaining part of her ticket to the one who stayed back. The friend then enters the theater with the proof of purchase and proof of "accompanying" adult. The guy can't remember all of the faces, can he?
3. We find other adults who are going to the same movie and hope that they will allow us to use them as our guardians until we enter the movie. This method may work although it may take a while for us to find someone.

Thanks again ._.

How do I convince my parents to let me watch TV-MA and R-Rated movies?

Why?As a parent, I’d be more easier to convince me to want to watch “12 Years A Slave”, for example is a rated R movie, because of your interest in the plot, director, some actors in it, etc…Some advice for you without knowing how old you are, what your upbringing is, or how old or busy your folks are….Just sayng “…I wanna do this!…” or “why can’t you let me do that?!…” doesn’t usually cut it.If you feel that you are mature enough and can/have exhibited a level of maturity to deal with the ‘next level’ subject matter, imagery, and possible unfamiliar events that may appear on the screen (even the music), then you have to be mature enough to EXPLAIN the reasons Why you want to see/do anything in a calm cohesive manner. This works especially well when dealing with those older than you folks who don’t know what is “in” right now & don’t understand what it is.You don’t need a large vocabulary, just to be able to use the words you have to explain (not convince) why you want to do this …This advice also works for “I would like to go to this or that college” or notyou get the picture. Now that’s not to say they’ll say yes…and even if you don’t get permission now, you can hopefully use the ‘your words skill’ to find out why …with the exception of reasons following a belief system, bc you already know.and at some point in the future they will see your maturity and can discuss what IS acceptable for you to view or not.Good luck to you…and may the viewing choices you make be your own; reflecting your own interests and not just blindly following othersLet us know how it’s going for you

Can a 17-year-old go see a rated R movie without a parent?

Probably not though in large cities they sometimes do not check ID’s of kids if they think they look 17 or above. Or have a really good fake ID.They can also get in with the help of an adult who is not their guardian. I did this once for a group of soccer buddies of my son. I regretted it GREATLY as I helped them get in to see the Rob Zombie version of “Halloween”, which I felt was near pornographic. I was embarrassed that I’d took my son to this much less that I got other kids in to see this monstrosity. It was too sexually graphic in my opinion but whatever. I lived in fear of a parent calling me to chew me out or come punch me for a few weeks after the incident but I guess no one ratted me out to their parents.

The Purge movie help!?

So i suck at watching scary movies... And i am pretty sure you guys all know the movie The Purge. My friends were all talking about it and they told me the movie is going to be really scary. But my brother would always tell me it looks intresting and fun and he said it wouldnt be scary. Hes really good at watchin scary stuff. So i dont know wat to do! I really do want to watch it in theater but im a lil scared to do it... Help!!

Can a 14 year old got to a rated R movie?

I used to work at a movie theater and the rules are that anyone under the age of 17 must be accompanied by a parent to see an R rated film. You have to show a valid ID to purchase tickets and your parent must see the movie with you. This being said, some theaters are not as strict as others and may allow your parents to buy you the tickets and not actually see the movie with you. But I wouldn't bet on it as the theater owners can get a fine for this.

What would you do if The Purge were real?

This one is not as complex as some seem to think, at least in part because of the “unworkability” of the idea. Some folks tend to forget that people really, really like peace and security. In my case, survival would included being Somewhere Else during the purge (like a pre-planned BOL). Anyway, for your edification I present Ken’s How to Survive the Purge in 13 Easy Steps.Make sure you have friends. Although 12 hours isn’t that long, a Purge could easily turn into a SHTF scenario in some cases, so have friends, real friends, with whom to form a survival team. Remember, loners die and teams survive.Spend the year leading up to The Purge to prepare your BOL. Supplies for a 12 hour ordeal can be thought of using the old “beans, bandages and bullets.” Learn how to use all of them effectively.Ensure your BOL does not look fortified prior to or immediately after The Purge.Devise a plan with your team. Drill the plan. Update it as necessary. In the weeks leading up to The Purge, convert your liquid assets into cash.In the weeks leading up to The Purge, review all your contracts with an attorney. Make sure each contract to which you are a party includes a clause that notes that any contract altered during The Purge will revert to its pre Purge conditions immediately upon the end of The Purge. Keep your copies in a safe place at your BOL.Have your team begin assembling at your BOL in advance of The Purge. Once people are there, they do not leave until The Purge is completed.Go onto “Purge footing” a few hours beforehand. All security measures are now in place and active.Once The Purge begins, recognize there are no “oh, I accidentally wandered into your compound but I’ll just leave and forget the whole thing” accidents. After The Purge, your team leaves the same way they arrived, quietly and without attracting undue attention. After The Purge, review how the plan worked. Modify it based upon lessons learned.Work actively to vote out the idiots that proposed such an imbecilic idea, as well as the marching morons in the various state legislatures that ratified it as an amendment to the Constitution. Get that amendment repealed!Until it is repealed, rinse and repeat as needed.
