I Am Having Problems With My Macbookpro 2013

How can I fix sound problem of my Macbook Pro Retina - 2013?

Okay I am very sorry to say that the answers given below are nowhere to be correct. The real problem is that your MacBook’s onboard speakers have given up and are permanently damaged. That should not turn out to be a costly repair. Try consulting Apple over this contact number if you are from India : 1800 425 0744If you are from different country, simply google it. Don’t worry guys at Apple are extremely helpful and they will guide you accordingly.Meanwhile try turning down the volume and playing songs from different sources such as YouTube.I hope your Macbook is under warranty. Good luck.

MacBook Pro says "No Battery Available"?

I've had my late 2011 MacBook Pro for around 2 years. Periodically, over the battery, there will appear an X and it states that no battery is available. Most of the time it just went away and went back to normal after a week or two.

However, earlier in 2013, I had the same problem again and it didn't fix itself. So, I brought it to a Mac Authority and they later gave it back to me with no fee saying all you have to do is reset the SMC.

So here I am again with a computer that has "No Battery Available" and I google how to do an SMC reset for my model. I shut down my computer, kept it plugged up, and pressed shift control option on the left hand side. I pressed and released it at the same time. But it did not solve the problem.

What should I do?

HELP: Macbook Pro 15in kernel panic or problem?

"I leave I close it and leave it for the night.... your macbook restarted because of a problem.... Could not recover SATA HDD after 5 attempts."

Closing the lid or waiting X number of minutes makes the computer enter SLEEP MODE.

If it is a new MacBook Pro, it doesn't have any SATA HDD inside. Since 2013 all Mac Notebooks have PCIe-based flash storage, no SATA, no HDD. That means you must have a SATA HDD connected to a port. Disconnect that external drive and the problem will be solved.

If you find it unacceptable to use sleep mode without the external drive connected, contact the maker of that drive to see why their drive interferes with SLEEP MODE.

MacBook Pro (2012) or MacBook Air (2013) for college?

I bought the MacBook Pro because it was cheaper, more GB of memory even though its not SSD and also because its still slightly faster (not that it really matters) and it also has the optical drive which I think can come in handy. It's also $50 cheaper then the air. Though I will try it out and see if I prefer it over the air and I might check out this computer since the only thing stopping me from buying it is how the battery life is since it only has a 3 cell battery but it has haswell. If anyone can provide me any details regarding battery on the hp it'll be great. Thanks.

Macbook Air 2012 OR Macbook Pro 2011 Non Retina?

If you can, buy the Air 2012 and an external hard disk drive of 250GB -500GB or even 1000GB. I don't really like Macbooks because the battery is fairly poor (10H of batteries)
The Air is good for Social, the Pro is more for Graphics and design.

THe Air 2012 is good for people how are often on Social network. Just keep your power cable in case you miss battery. 128GB is good for music, pictures and small documents. Not for gaming or Design.

Good luck!

I dropped my MacBook Pro from the top of a bunk bed and now the Japanese language button is always "pressed", activating itself as I am typing in English. Can I fix this problem myself?

If the problem is hardware, you should take it to a Genius Lab/Apple Store. You could try SHIFT + COMMAND + SPACE. or ALT + COMMAND + SPACE.  This toggles between various scripts. Also, system preferences - language/region - remove Japanese as a preferred language (not a long-term solution if you need it).Otherwise: Charles Kelly's Online Japanese Language Study Materials
