I was disappointed especially for the price I paid. My college uses another software: tell me more. My goal was to become fluent so it was perfect for me and I bought their individual version. It has a lot of different activities: picture/word association, videos, dialogues,..., includes also grammar and conjugation. It has also more content than any other language software. Their speech recognition is great so you can have a dialogue with the computer. Self-learning a language DOESN'T work if you don't live in a country where this language is spoken, believe me. I have tried books, online material, Rosetta Stone, Pimsleur and half-a-dozen other methods and believe me when I say IT DOESN'T WORK. It will only work if you live in a country where they speak the language. The ONLY way to learn a language without living there is to take a courses. Start with a beginner's course, then intermediate and then advanced. By the time you finish 3 courses you should be fluent enough to hold most conversations and read most things you come across. The rest you will learn by yourself when you visit those countries.
